Delete Your Opened Account
You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time, from the Opened app or the website.
How to delete it
- Open Opened (the Android app, or openedbible.com/me) and sign in.
- Go to Me, then Your Data.
- Tap Delete Account…
- Type your email address to confirm, and tap Delete Account.
Want a copy first? Download My Data is just above it, in Your Data.
Can’t sign in? Email hello@openedbible.com from the address your account uses. We aim to reply within 24 hours, and we’ll delete it for you.
What’s deleted, at once
- Your profile, your settings, your name in Opened and your place on the supporters’ wall.
- Everything you wrote or kept: notes, prayers, highlights, journeys, reading plans, reading and study history, and your questions to Study Help.
- Your Bible Quiz and Bible Games scores and leaderboard places, your place in groups and game circles, and the ideas and votes you added on the Ideas board.
- The problems you reported.
- Your sessions on every device: you’re signed out everywhere.
What’s kept, and for how long
- Backups: copies of your data leave Opened’s backups within 30 days.
- Payment records (amount, currency and date) are kept for accounting, without your name or account attached.
- If you asked for a gifted year of Plus, a scrambled code made from your email address stays for up to 330 days, so each person gets one a year. It can’t be turned back into your address.
- Plus that you pay for ends and never renews. Plus bought in the Android app stops renewing in Google Play; Google keeps its own record of the purchase under its privacy policy.
- Your Paruto ID (id.paruto.com), the service you may sign in with, is separate: delete it at id.paruto.com.
Deleting can’t be undone. More about what Opened keeps, and why, is in the privacy policy.
