He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves.
AKJV And said to them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves. BSB BSB: And He declared to them, “It is written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer.’ But you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’”
AKJV And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. BSB BSB: The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple, and He healed them.
AKJV And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, BSB BSB: But the chief priests and scribes were indignant when they saw the wonders He performed and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David!”
AKJV And said to him, Hear you what these say? And Jesus says to them, Yes; have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings you have perfected praise? BSB BSB: “Do You hear what these children are saying?” they asked. “Yes,” Jesus answered. “Have you never read: ‘From the mouths of children and infants You have ordained praise’?”

And presently the fig tree withered away. BSB BSB: Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. “May you never bear fruit again!” He said. And immediately the tree withered.
AKJV And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! BSB BSB: When the disciples saw this, they marveled and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”
AKJV Jesus answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say to this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; it shall be done. BSB BSB: “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
AKJV And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. BSB BSB: If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

AKJV And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. BSB BSB: “I will also ask you one question,” Jesus replied, “and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
AKJV The baptism of John, from where was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say to us, Why did you not then believe him? BSB BSB: What was the source of John’s baptism? Was it from heaven or from men?” They deliberated among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
AKJV But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. BSB BSB: But if we say, ‘From men,’ we are afraid of the people, for they all regard John as a prophet.”
AKJV And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said to them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. BSB BSB: So they answered, “We do not know.” And Jesus replied, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

AKJV And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. BSB BSB: Then the man went to the second son and told him the same thing. ‘I will, sir,’ he said. But he did not go.
AKJV Whether of them two did the will of his father? They say to him, The first. Jesus says to them, Truly I say to you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. BSB BSB: Which of the two did the will of his father?” “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.
AKJV For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and you, when you had seen it, repented not afterward, that you might believe him. BSB BSB: For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
The Parable of the Wicked Tenants (Mark 12:1–12; Luke 20:9–18)
AKJV Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and dig a wine press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to farmers, and went into a far country: BSB BSB: Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
AKJV And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, that they might receive the fruits of it. BSB BSB: When the harvest time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit.
AKJV And the farmers took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. BSB BSB: But the tenants seized his servants. They beat one, killed another, and stoned a third.
AKJV Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did to them likewise. BSB BSB: Again, he sent other servants, more than the first group. But the tenants did the same to them.
AKJV But last of all he sent to them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. BSB BSB: Finally, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
AKJV But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. BSB BSB: But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and take his inheritance.’
AKJV And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. BSB BSB: So they seized him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
AKJV When the lord therefore of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers? BSB BSB: Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard returns, what will he do to those tenants?”
AKJV They say to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard to other farmers, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. BSB BSB: “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and will rent out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his share of the fruit at harvest time.”
AKJV Jesus says to them, Did you never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes? BSB BSB: Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
AKJV Therefore say I to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. BSB BSB: Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
AKJV And whoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. BSB BSB: He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”
AKJV And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them. BSB BSB: When the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that Jesus was speaking about them.
AKJV But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. BSB BSB: Although they wanted to arrest Him, they were afraid of the crowds, because the people regarded Him as a prophet.
