The Daily Offerings (Exodus 29:38–44)
1 AKJV And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 AKJV Command the children of Israel, and say to them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet smell to me, shall you observe to offer to me in their due season. BSB BSB: “Command the Israelites and say to them: See that you present to Me at its appointed time the food for My food offerings, as a pleasing aroma to Me.
3 AKJV And you shall say to them, This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer to the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering. BSB BSB: And tell them that this is the food offering you are to present to the LORD as a regular burnt offering each day: two unblemished year-old male lambs.
4 AKJV The one lamb shall you offer in the morning, and the other lamb shall you offer at even; BSB BSB: Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,
5 AKJV And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil. BSB BSB: along with a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with a quarter hin of oil from pressed olives.
6 AKJV It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet smell, a sacrifice made by fire to the LORD. BSB BSB: This is a regular burnt offering established at Mount Sinai as a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
7 AKJV And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shall you cause the strong wine to be poured to the LORD for a drink offering. BSB BSB: The drink offering accompanying each lamb shall be a quarter hin. Pour out the offering of fermented drink to the LORD in the sanctuary area.
8 AKJV And the other lamb shall you offer at even: as the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, you shall offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD. BSB BSB: And offer the second lamb at twilight, with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning. It is a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
The Sabbath Offerings 9 AKJV And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: BSB BSB: On the Sabbath day, present two unblemished year-old male lambs, accompanied by a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, as well as a drink offering.
10 AKJV This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. BSB BSB: This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.
The Monthly Offerings 11 AKJV And in the beginnings of your months you shall offer a burnt offering to the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; BSB BSB: At the beginning of every month, you are to present to the LORD a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished,
12 AKJV And three tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram; BSB BSB: along with three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering with each bull, two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering with the ram,
13 AKJV And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering to one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet smell, a sacrifice made by fire to the LORD. BSB BSB: and a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering with each lamb. This is a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
14 AKJV And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine to a bullock, and the third part of an hin to a ram, and a fourth part of an hin to a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. BSB BSB: Their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine with each bull, a third of a hin with the ram, and a quarter hin with each lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon throughout the year.
15 AKJV And one kid of the goats for a sin offering to the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. BSB BSB: In addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering, one male goat is to be presented to the LORD as a sin offering.
Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Exodus 12:14–28; Leviticus 23:4–8; Deuteronomy 16:1–8)
16 AKJV And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. BSB BSB: The fourteenth day of the first month is the LORD’s Passover.
17 AKJV And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. BSB BSB: On the fifteenth day of this month, there shall be a feast; for seven days unleavened bread is to be eaten.
18 AKJV In the first day shall be an holy convocation; you shall do no manner of servile work therein: BSB BSB: On the first day there is to be a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
19 AKJV But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering to the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be to you without blemish: BSB BSB: Present to the LORD a food offering, a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished.
20 AKJV And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall you offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram; BSB BSB: The grain offering shall consist of fine flour mixed with oil; offer three-tenths of an ephah with each bull, two-tenths of an ephah with the ram,
21 AKJV A several tenth deal shall you offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: BSB BSB: and a tenth of an ephah with each of the seven lambs.
22 AKJV And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. BSB BSB: Include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you.
23 AKJV You shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. BSB BSB: You are to present these in addition to the regular morning burnt offering.
24 AKJV After this manner you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. BSB BSB: Offer the same food each day for seven days as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. It is to be offered with its drink offering and the regular burnt offering.
25 AKJV And on the seventh day you shall have an holy convocation; you shall do no servile work. BSB BSB: On the seventh day you shall hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
The Feast of Weeks (Deuteronomy 16:9–12)
26 AKJV Also in the day of the first fruits, when you bring a new meat offering to the LORD, after your weeks be out, you shall have an holy convocation; you shall do no servile work: BSB BSB: On the day of firstfruits, when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
27 AKJV But you shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet smell to the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; BSB BSB: Present a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old as a pleasing aroma to the LORD,
28 AKJV And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to one bullock, two tenth deals to one ram, BSB BSB: together with their grain offerings of fine flour mixed with oil—three-tenths of an ephah with each bull, two-tenths of an ephah with the ram,
29 AKJV A several tenth deal to one lamb, throughout the seven lambs; BSB BSB: and a tenth of an ephah with each of the seven lambs.
30 AKJV And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. BSB BSB: Include one male goat to make atonement for you.
31 AKJV You shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be to you without blemish) and their drink offerings. BSB BSB: Offer them with their drink offerings in addition to the regular burnt offering and its grain offering. The animals must be unblemished.
