Psalm 16 16 Psalms Book 1 American King James Version The Presence of the LORD (Acts 2:14–36)
AKJV Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in you do I put my trust. BSB BSB: A Miktam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge.
AKJV O my soul, you have said to the LORD, You are my Lord: my goodness extends not to you; BSB BSB: I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.”
AKJV But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. BSB BSB: As for the saints in the land, they are the excellence in whom all my delight resides.
AKJV Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. BSB BSB: Sorrows will multiply to those who chase other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood, or speak their names with my lips.
AKJV The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: you maintain my lot. BSB BSB: The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure.
AKJV The lines are fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a goodly heritage. BSB BSB: The lines of my boundary have fallen in pleasant places; surely my inheritance is delightful.
AKJV I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. BSB BSB: I will bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my conscience instructs me.
AKJV I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. BSB BSB: I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
AKJV Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope. BSB BSB: Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will dwell securely.
AKJV For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. BSB BSB: For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay.
AKJV You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for ever more. BSB BSB: You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.
