1 ULB በዚህ ጊዜ የጢሮስ ንጉሥ ኪራም ለዳዊት ቤተ መንግሥት እንዲሠሩ መልክተኞችን፣ድንጋይ ጠራቦዎችንና አናጢዎችም ከዝግባ ዕንጨት ጋር ላከ። BSB BSB: Now Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, along with cedar logs, stonemasons, and carpenters, to build a palace for him.
2 ULB ዳዊትም እግዚአብሄር በእስራኤል ላይ አንግሦ እንዳጽናውና ስለ ሕዝቡም ስለ እስራኤል ሲል መንግጅቱን ከፍ ከፍ እንዳደረገለት አስተዋለ። BSB BSB: And David realized that the LORD had established him as king over Israel and had highly exalted his kingdom for the sake of His people Israel.
3 ULB ዳዊትም በኢየሩሳሌም ብዙ ሚስቶች አገባ፤ከእነሱም ወንዶችንና ሴቶች ልጆችን ወለደ። BSB BSB: And David took more wives in Jerusalem and became the father of more sons and daughters.
4 ULB በዚያ ሳለ የወለዳቸው የልጆች ስም ይህ ነው፤ሳሙስ፣ሶባብ፣ናታን፣ሰለሞን፣ BSB BSB: These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,
5 ULB ኢያቤሐር፣ኤሊሱዔ፣ ኤሊፋላት፣ BSB BSB: Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,
6 ULB ኖጋ፣ናፌቅ፣ያፍያ፣ BSB BSB: Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
7 ULB ኤሊሳማ፣ኤሊዳሄ፣ኤሊፋላት። BSB BSB: Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
8 ULB ዳዊት በእስራኤል ሁሉ ላይ ተቀብቶ መንገሡን ፍልስጥኤማውያን በሰሙ ጊዜ፣እርሱን ፍለጋ በሙሉ ኅይላቸው ወቱ፤ዳዊት ይህን ሰምቶ ሰለ ነበር ሊገጥማቸውው ወጣ። BSB BSB: When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, they all went in search of him; but David learned of this and went out to face them.
9 ULB በዚህ ጊዜ ፍልስጥኤማውያን ውጥተው የራፋይምን ሸለቆ ወረሩ። BSB BSB: Now the Philistines had come and raided the Valley of Rephaim.
10 ULB ስለዚህ ዳዊት፣"ወጥቼ በፍልስጥኤማዊያን ላይ አደጋ ልጣልን? አንተስ በእጄ አሳልፈህ ትሰጣቸዋለህን? ሲል እግዚአብሔር ጠየቀ።እግዚአብሔር "አዎን ውጣ! በእጅህ አሳልፌ እሰጣቸዋለሁ"ብሎ መለሰለት። BSB BSB: So David inquired of God, “Should I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” “Go,” replied the LORD, “for I will deliver them into your hand.”
11 ULB ስለዚህ ዳዊትና ሰዎቹ ወደ በኣልፐራሲም ወጡ፤በዚያም ድል አደረጋቸው።ዳዊትም "ውሃ ነድሎ እንደሚውጣ ሁሉ እግዚአብሄርም ጠላቶችይን በእጄ አፈርሳቸው"አለ፤ከዚህ የተነሳ ያን ቦታ "በኣልፐራሲም"ብለው ሰየሙት። BSB BSB: So David and his men went up to Baal-perazim, where he defeated the Philistines and said, “Like a bursting flood, God has burst out against my enemies by my hand.” So they called that place Baal-perazim.
12 ULB ፍልስጥኤማውያን አማልዕክቶቻቸውን በዚያው ጥለዋቸው ስለ ነበር፣ዳዊትት በእሳት እንዲያቃጥሏቸው አዘዘ። BSB BSB: There the Philistines abandoned their gods, and David ordered that they be burned in the fire.
13 ULB ፍልስጥኤማውያን ሸለቆውን እንደ ገና ወረሩ፣ BSB BSB: Once again the Philistines raided the valley.
14 ULB ዳዊትም እንደገና እግዚአብሔር ጠየቀ።እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ሲል መለሰለት "ዙሪያውን ከበህ በሾላው ዛፍ ፊት ለፊት አደጋ ጣልባቸው እንጂ በቀጥታ ወደ ላይ አትውጣ፤ BSB BSB: So David again inquired of God, who answered him, “Do not march up after them, but circle around them and attack them in front of the balsam trees.
15 ULB በሾላው ዐናት ላይ የሰልፍ ድምፅ ስትሰማ ወዲያኑ ለጦርነት ውጣ፤ይህም የፍልስጥኤማውያንን ስራዊት ለመምታት እግዚአብሔር በፊትህ ወጥቶአል ማለት ነውና። BSB BSB: As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move out to battle, because this will mean that God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”
16 ULB ዝዝዚህ ዳዊት እግዚአብሔር እንዳለው አደረገ፤ከገባዖን ጀምሮ እስከ ጌዝር ድረስ ፍልስጥኤማውያንን መቷቸው። BSB BSB: So David did as God had commanded him, and they struck down the army of the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.
17 ULB ከዚህም የተነሳ የዳዊት ዝና በየአገሩ ሁሉ ተሰማ፤እግዚአብሔርም መንግሥታት ሁሉ እንዲፈሩት አደረገ። BSB BSB: And David’s fame went out into every land, and the LORD caused all nations to fear him.
