1 ULB ከዚህ በኋላ ዳዊት ፍልስጥኤማዊያንን ድል መትቶ ተገዢ አደረጋቸው፤ጌትንና በዙሪያዋም የሚገኙትን መንደሮች ከፍልስጥኤማዊያን እጅ ወስደ። BSB BSB: Some time later, David defeated the Philistines, subdued them, and took Gath and its villages from the hand of the Philistines.
2 ULB እንዲሁም ዳዊት ሞዓባዊያንድል አደረጋቸው፤እነሱም ገባሮቹ ሆኑ፤ግብርም አመጡለት። BSB BSB: David also defeated the Moabites, and they became subject to David and brought him tribute.
3 ULB ከዚያም በላይ ዳዊት በኤፍራጥስ ወንዝ አጠገብ የነበረው ግዛት ለመቁጣጠር በሄደ ጊዜ፣የሱባን ንጉሥ አድርአዛርን እስከ ሐማት ድረስ ዘልቆ ወጋው። BSB BSB: As far as Hamath, David also defeated King Hadadezer of Zobah, who had marched out to establish his dominion along the Euphrates River.
4 ULB ዳዊትም አንድ ሺህ ሠረገላ. ሰባት ሺህ ፈረሰኛና ሃያ ሺህ እግረኛ ወታደር ማረከ፤አንድ መቶ የሠረገላ ፈረሳች ብቻ አስቀርቶ የቀሩትን ቋንጃቸውን ቁረጠ። BSB BSB: David captured from him a thousand chariots, seven thousand charioteers, and twenty thousand foot soldiers, and he hamstrung all the horses except a hundred he kept for the chariots.
5 ULB ሶርያውያንም የሱባን ንጉሥ እድርአዛርን ለመርዳት ከደማስቆ በመጡ ጊዜ፣ከእነሱ ሃያ ሁለት ሺህ ሰው ገደለ። BSB BSB: When the Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand of their men.
6 ULB ከዚያም በሶርያ ግዛት ውስጥ ባለችው ወደማስቆ የጦር ሰፈር ፤አቋቋመ፤ሶርያውያን ገባሮቹ ሆኑ፤ግብርም አመጡለት።እግዚአብሔርም ዳዊትን በሄደበት ሁሉ ድል አጎናፀፈው። BSB BSB: Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to David and brought him tribute. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.
7 ULB ዳዊትም የአድርአዘር ጦር አለቆች ያነገቡትን የወርቅ ጋሻ ወሰደ፤ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም አመጣው። BSB BSB: And David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 ULB ዳዊት ከአድርአዛር ከተሞች ከጢብሐትና ከኩን እጅግ ብዙ ናስ ወስደ፤ሰለሞን የናሱን ባሕር፤ዐምዶቹንና ልዩ ልዩ የናስ ዕቃዎቹን የሠራው በዚሁ ነበር። BSB BSB: And from Tibhath and Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took a large amount of bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze Sea, the pillars, and various bronze articles.
9 ULB የሐማት ንጉሥ ቶዑ ዳዊት የሱባን ንጉሥ የአድርአዛርን ሰራዊት ሁሉ ድል እንደመታ ሲሰማ፣ BSB BSB: When King Tou of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,
10 ULB እጅ እንዲነሳውና ደስታውንም እንዲገልጥለት ልጁን አዳራምን ወደ ንጉሥ ዳዊት ላከው፤ቶዑ ከአድርአዛር ጋር ብዙ ጊዜ ጦርነት ገጥሞ ነበር።አዶራምም ከወርቅ፣ከብርና ከነስ የተጀሩ ልዩ ልዩ ዕቃዎች አመጣለት። BSB BSB: he sent his son Hadoram to greet King David and bless him for fighting and defeating Hadadezer, who had been at war with Tou. Hadoram brought all kinds of articles of gold and silver and bronze,
11 ULB ንጉሥ ዳዊት ከሞዓብ፣ከአሞናዊያን፣ከፍልስጥኤማውያንና ከአማሌቃውያን ከእነዚህ ሁሉ መንግሥትታት የማረከውን ወርቅና ብር ከዚህ ቀደም እንዳደረገው ሁሉ፤እነዚህንም ዕቃዎች ለእግዚአብሔር ቀደሰ። BSB BSB: and King David dedicated these to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had carried off from all these nations—from Edom and Moab, and from the Ammonites, Philistines, and Amalekites.
12 ULB የጹሩያ ልጅ አቢሳ በጨው ሸለቆ ዐሥራ ስምንት ሺህ ኤዶማውያን ገደለ። BSB BSB: Moreover, Abishai son of Zeruiah struck down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
13 ULB እርሱም በኤዶም የጦር ሰፈሮች አቋቋም፤ኤዶማውያንም ሁሉ ለንጉሥ ዳዊት ገባሮች ሆኑ።እግዚአብሔር ዳዊትን በሄደበት ሁሉ ድል አጎናጸፈው። BSB BSB: He placed garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites were subject to David. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.
14 ULB ዳዊት በመላው እስራኤል ላይ ነገሠ፤ለሕዝቡም ሁሉ ፍትሕና ጽድቅን አሰፈናላቸው። BSB BSB: Thus David reigned over all Israel and administered justice and righteousness for all his people:
15 ULB የጽሩያ ልጅ ኢዮአብ የሰራዊት አዛዥ ነበረ፤የአሒሉድ ልጅ ኢዮሣፍጥ ደግሞ የቤተ መዛግብቱ ኃላፊ ነበረ። BSB BSB: Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;
16 ULB የአኪጦብ ልጅ ሳዶቅና የአቤምሜሌክ ልጅ አብያታር ካህናት ነበሩ፤ሱሳ ደግሞ ጸሓፊ ነበረ። BSB BSB: Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests; Shavsha was the scribe;
17 ULB የዮሄድ ልጅ በናያስ የከሊታውያንና የፊልታውያን አዛዥ ነበረ።የዳዊት ወንዶች ልጆች ከንጉሥ ቀጥሎ የበላይ ሹማምት ነበሩ። BSB BSB: Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief officials at the king’s side.
