1 ULB ከዚያም ንጉሥ ዳዊት ለመላው ጉባኤ እንዲህ አለ፤ "እግዚአብሔር የመረጠው ልጄ ሰሎሞን ገና ወጣትና ልምድም የሌለው ነውው። ይህ ታላቅ ሕንጻ የሚሠራውን ለሰው ሳይሆን ለእግዚአብሔ አምላክ በምሆን፣ ጅራው ከባድ ነው። BSB BSB: Then King David said to the whole assembly, “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The task is great because this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
2 ULB እኔም ያለኝን ሀብት ለአምላኬ ቤተ መቅደስ ለወርቁ ሥራ ወርቁን ለብሩ ሥራ ብሩን፣ ለናስ ሥራ ናሱን፣ ለብረቱ ሥራ ብረቱን፣ ለዕንጨቱ ጅራ ዕንጨቱን እንዲሁም ለፈርጥ የሞሆነው መረግድ፣ ኬልቄዶን፣ ልዩ ልዩ ኅብር ያላቸውን ዐይነት የሚያምር ድንጋይና ዕብነበረድ፣ ይህን ሁሉ በብዛት አዘጋጅቻለሁ። BSB BSB: Now with all my ability I have made provision for the house of my God—gold for the gold articles, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron, and wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings, turquoise, stones of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and slabs of marble—all in abundance.
3 ULB ከዚህም በቀር ለአምላኬ ቤት ካለን ፍቅር የተነሣ ለዚህ ለተቀደሰ ቤት ከዚህ በፊት ከሰጠሁት በተጨማሪ ለዚሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ቤተ ምቅደስ የግል ሀብቴ የሆነውን ወርቅና ብር እሰጣለሁ፤ BSB BSB: Moreover, because of my delight in the house of my God, I now give for it my personal treasures of gold and silver, over and above all that I have provided for this holy temple:
4 ULB ይህም ሦስት ሺህ መክሊት ንጹሕ ብር ለቤተ መቅደሱ የግድግዳ ግንብ ማስጌጫ BSB BSB: three thousand talents of gold (the gold of Ophir) and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings,
5 ULB እንዲሁም ለወርቁ ሥራ፣ ለብሩ ሥራ፣ በባለሞያዎች ለሚሠራው ሥራ ሁሉ የሚሆን ነው። ታዲያ ዛሬ ራሱን ለእግዚአብሔር ለመቀደስ ፍቃደኛ የሚሆን ማን ነው?። BSB BSB: for the gold work and the silver work, and for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now who is willing to consecrate himself to the LORD today?”
6 ULB ከዚያም የቤተሰቡ አሪዎች፣ የነገዱ የእስራኤል ሹማምት፣ የሻለቆችና የመቶ አለቆች እንዲሁም በንጉሥ ሥራ ላይ የተመደቡ ሹማምት፣ በፍቃዳቸው ሰጡ፤ BSB BSB: Then the leaders of the families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.
7 ULB ለእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ ሥራ የሰጡትም አምስት ሺህ መክሊት ወርቅ፣ ዐሥር ሺህ ዳሪክ ወርቅ፣ ዐሥር ሺህ መክሊት ናስ አንድ መቶ ሺህ መክሊት ብረት ነው። BSB BSB: Toward the service of God’s house they gave 5,000 talents and 10,000 darics of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.
8 ULB የከበሩ ድንጋዮች ያለውም ሁሉ፣ በጌድሶናዊው በይሒኤል አማካኝነት ወደ እግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ ግምጃ ቤት አስገባ። BSB BSB: Whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, under the care of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 ULB ስጦታው በገዛ ፈቃደና በፍጹም ልብ የቀረበ በመሆኑ፣ አለቆች ስላደረጉት የብበጎ ፈቃድ ስጦታ ሕዝቡ ደስ አለው፤ ንጉሥ ዳዊትም እንደዚሁ እጅግ ደስ አለው። BSB BSB: And the people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given to the LORD freely and wholeheartedly. And King David also rejoiced greatly.
10 ULB ዳዊትም በመላው ጉባኤ ፊት እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ሲል አመሰገነ፤ "የአባታችን የእስራኤል አምላክ እግዚአብሔር ሆይ፤ ከዘላለም እስከ ዘላለም ለአንተ ምስጋና ትሁን። BSB BSB: Then David blessed the LORD in the sight of all the assembly and said: “May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
11 ULB እግዚአብሔር ሆይ፤ በሰማይና በምድር ያለው ሁሉ ለአንተ ነውና፤ ታላቅነት፣ ኅይል ክብርና ግርማ የአንተ ነው። እግዚአብሄር ሆይ፤ መንግሥትህም የአንተ ነው፤ አንተም እንደ ራስ ከሁሉ በላይ ከፍ ከፍ ያልህ ነህ። BSB BSB: Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all.
12 ULB ባለጠግነት ክብር የሚገኘው ከአንተ ነው፤ አንተም የሁሉ ገዢ ነህ፤ ከፍ ከፍ ለማድረግ፣ ለሁሉም በርታትን ለመስጠት፣ ብርታትና ኅይል በእጅህ ነው። BSB BSB: Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler over all. In Your hands are power and might to exalt and give strength to all.
13 ULB አምላካችሁ ሆይ፤ አሁንም እናመሰግንሃለን፤ ለከበረው ስምህም ውዳሴ እናቀርባለን። BSB BSB: Now therefore, our God, we give You thanks, and we praise Your glorious name.
14 ULB "ሁሉ የተገኘው ከአንተ ነው፤ ለአንተም የሰጠንህ ከእጅህ የተቀበልነው ብቻ ነው። ታዲያ እንዲህ ያለ ቸርነት እናድርግ ዘንድ እኔ ማነኝ? ሕዝቤስ ማንኝ? BSB BSB: But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and from Your own hand we have given to You.
15 ULB እኛም እንደ ቀድሞ አባቶቻችን በፊትህ መጻተኞችና እንግዶች ነን፤ ዘመናችንም በምድር ላይ እንደ ጥላ ነው፤ ተስፋ ሲስም ነው። BSB BSB: For we are foreigners and strangers in Your presence, as were all our forefathers. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
16 ULB እግዚአብሔር አምላካችን ሆይ፤ ለተቀደሰው ስምህ ቤተ መቅደስ እንሠራለን ዘንድ ይህ በብዛት ያዘጋጀውን ሁሉ፤ ከእጅህ የተገኘውና ሁሉም ለአንተ ነው። BSB BSB: O LORD our God, from Your hand comes all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy Name, and all of it belongs to You.
17 ULB አምልኬ ሆይ፤ ልብን እንደምትመረምርና ቅንነትን እንደምትወድ ዐውቃለሁ፤ እኔም ይህን ሁሉ የሰጠሁት በበጎ ፈቃደና በቀና መንፈስ ነው። አሁንም በዚህ ያለው ሕዝብህ በበጎ ፈቃዱ እንዴት እንደ ሰጠ አይቻለሁ። BSB BSB: I know, my God, that You test the heart and delight in uprightness. All these things I have given willingly and with an upright heart, and now I have seen Your people who are present here giving joyfully and willingly to You.
18 ULB የአባታቸው የአብርሃም፣ የይስሐቅ፣ የእስራኤል አምላክ እግዚአብሔር ሆይ፤ ይህን ዐሳብ ለዘላለም በሕዝብህ ልብ ጠብቀው፤ ልባቸውንም ለአንተ ታማኝ አድርገው። BSB BSB: O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, keep this desire forever in the intentions of the hearts of Your people, and direct their hearts toward You.
19 ULB ትእዛዞችህን፣ እኔ ባዘጋጀሁለት ነገሮች ታላቅ ህንጻ ለመጅራት እንዲችል፣ ለልጄ ለሰሎሞ ፍጹም ፈቃደኛነት ሰጠው። BSB BSB: And give my son Solomon a whole heart to keep and carry out all Your commandments, decrees, and statutes, and to build Your palace for which I have made provision.”
20 ULB ከዚያም ዳዊት ለመላው ጉባኤ፣ "አምላካችሁን እግዚአብሔር ወሰዱት" አላቸው። ስለዚህ የአባታቻችን አምላክ እግዚአብሔር ወደሱ፤ በእግዚአብሔር በንጉሡም ፊት ተደፍተው ሰገዱ። BSB BSB: Then David said to the whole assembly, “Bless the LORD your God.” So the whole assembly blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers. They bowed down and paid homage to the LORD and to the king.
21 ULB በማግስቱም ለእግዚአብሔር መሥዋዕት ሠው፤ የሚቃጠል መስሥዕዋትም አቀረቡ፤ ይህም አንንድ ሺህ ወይፈን፣ አንድ ሺህ አውራ በግ፣ አንድ ሺህ የበግ ጠቦት ሲሆን፤ ከመጠጥ ቁርባኖቻቸውና ከሌሎች መሥዕዋቶች ጋር ስለ እስራኤል ሁሉ በብዛት አቀረቡ። BSB BSB: The next day they offered sacrifices and presented burnt offerings to the LORD: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, along with their drink offerings, and other sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.
22 ULB በዚህችም ዕለት በእግዚአብሔር ፊት በታላቅ ደስታ በሉ፤ ጠጡም። ከዚያም የዳዊት ልጅ ሰሎሞን ንጉሥ መሆኑን ሁለተኛ ጊዜ በይፋ ዐወቁ፤ ገዥ እንዲሆንም በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ቀቡት፤ BSB BSB: That day they ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the LORD. Then, for a second time, they designated David’s son Solomon as king, anointing him before the LORD as ruler, and Zadok as the priest.
23 ULB ሰለሞንም ነግሦ በአባቱ በዳዊት ምትክ በእግዚአብሔር ዙፋን ላይ ተቀመጠ፤ ተከናወነለት፤ እስራኤልም ሁሉ ታዘዙለት። BSB BSB: So Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king in place of his father David. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.
24 ULB የጦር አለቆችና ኅያላኑ ሁሉ እንዲሁም የንጉሥ የዳዊት ወንዶች ልጆች በሙሉ ታማኝነታቸውን ለንጉሥ ሰሎሞን አረጋ ገጡለት። BSB BSB: All the officials and mighty men, as well as all of King David’s sons, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon.
25 ULB እግዚአብሔር ሰሎሞንን በእስራኤል ሕዝብ ዘንድ ሁሉ እጅግ ከፍ ከፍ አደረገው፤ ከእነሱ በፊት ለነበሩት የእስራኤል ነገሥታት ያላጎናጸፋቸውን ንጉሣዊ ክብር ሁሉ ሰጠው። BSB BSB: The LORD highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him royal majesty such as had not been bestowed on any king in Israel before him.
26 ULB የእሴይ ልጅ ዳዊት በእስራኤል ሁሉ ላይ ነግሦ ነበር። BSB BSB: David son of Jesse was king over all Israel.
27 ULB እርሱም በኬብሮን ሰባት ዓመት፤ በእየሩሳሌም ሠላሳ ሦስት ዓመት፣ በአጠቃላይ አርባ ዓመት ነገሠ። BSB BSB: The length of David’s reign over Israel was forty years—seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
28 ULB ብዙ ዘመን ባለጠግነትና ክብር ሳይጎድልበት ዕድሜ ጠግቦ ሞተ፤ ጅጁ ልምሞን በእግሩ ተተክቶ ነገሠ። BSB BSB: He died at a ripe old age, full of years, riches, and honor, and his son Solomon reigned in his place.
29 ULB በንጉሥ ዳዊት ዘመነ መንግሥት ከመጀመሪያው እስከ መጨረሻ የተከናወነው ድርጊት በባለ ራእዩ በሳሙኤል የታሪክ መጽሐፍ፣ በነብዩ በናታን የታሪክ መጽሐፍ ተጽፎአል። BSB BSB: Now the acts of King David, from first to last, are indeed written in the Chronicles of Samuel the Seer, the Chronicles of Nathan the Prophet, and the Chronicles of Gad the Seer,
30 ULB የተጻፈውም በሥልጣን ላይ በነበረበት ጊዜ ከፈጸማቸው ዝርዝር ጉዳዮችና በዙሪያው ከከበቡት፤ ከእስራኤልና ከሌሎች አገር መንግሥታት ታሪክ ጋር ነው። BSB BSB: together with all the details of his reign, his might, and the circumstances that came upon him and Israel and all the kingdoms of the lands.
