1. 1ULBበእግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ ሐዋርያ ሊሆን በክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ የተጠራ ጳውሎስና ወንድማችን ሶስቴንስ በቆሮንቶስ ላለች ለእግዚአብሔር ቤተ ክርስቲያን፤ በክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ለተቀደሱት።BSBBSB: Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2. 2ULBየእነርሱና የእኛ ጌታ የሆነውን የጌታችንን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን ስም በየስፍራው ከሚጠሩት ሁሉ ጋር ቅዱሳን ለመሆን ለተጠሩት ደግሞ እንጽፍላቸዋለን።BSBBSB: To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:
3. 3ULBከአባታችን ከእግዚአብሔር ከጌታም ከኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ጸጋና ሰላም ለእናንተ ይሁን።BSBBSB: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4. 4ULBክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ከሰጣችሁ ከእግዚአብሔር ጸጋ የተነሳ ሁልጊዜ ስለእናንተ አምላኬን አመሰግናለሁ።BSBBSB: I always thank my God for you because of the grace He has given you in Christ Jesus.
5. 5ULBበነገር ሁሉ፤በንግግርና በዕውቀት ሁሉ ባለጸጋ እንድትሆኑ አድርጎአችኋልና።BSBBSB: For in Him you have been enriched in every way, in all speech and all knowledge,
6. 6ULBስለክርስቶስ የተሰጠው ምስክርነት በመካከላችሁ እውነት ሆኖ እንደጸና ሁሉ ባለጸጎች አድርጎአችኋል።BSBBSB: because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.
7. 7ULBስለዚህ የጌታችን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን መገለጥ በጉጉት ስትጠባበቁ አንድም መንፈሳዊ ስጦታ አይጎድልባችሁም።BSBBSB: Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8. 8ULBእርሱ በጌታችን በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ቀን ያለ ነቀፋ እንድትሆኑ እስከ ፍጻሜ ድረስ ያጸናችኋል።BSBBSB: He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9. 9ULBወደ ልጁ ወደ ጌታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ኅብረት የጠራችሁ እግዚአብሔር የታመነ ነው።BSBBSB: God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
10. 10ULBስለዚህ ወንድሞችና እህቶች ሆይ፤ ሁላችሁም በአንድ አሳብ እንድትስማሙ እንጂ በመካከላችሁ መለያየት እንዳይሆን በጌታችን በኢየሱስ ድርስቶስ ስም አሳስባችኋለሁ። እንዲሁም በአንድ ልብና በአንድ ዓለማ የተባበራችሁ እንድትሆኑ አሳስባችኋለሁ።BSBBSB: I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree together, so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be united in mind and conviction.
11. 11ULBበመካከላችሁ መከፋፈል እንደተፈጠረ የቀሎዔ ቤተ ሰዎች አስታውቀውኛል።BSBBSB: My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.
12. 12ULBይህን የምላችሁ፦ እያንዳንዳችሁ፦ "እኔ ከጳውሎስ ጋር ነኝ፥ ወይም ከአጵሎስ ጋር ነኝ፤ ወይም እኔ ከኬፋ ጋር ነኝ፤ ወይም እኔ ከክርቶስ ጋር ነኝ" ትላላችሁ።BSBBSB: What I mean is this: Individuals among you are saying, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.”
13. 13ULBለመሆኑ ክርስቶስ ተከፍሎአልን? ጳውሎስስ ስለ እናንተ ተሰቅሎአልን? ወይም የተጠመቃችሁት በጳውሎስስ ስም ነውን?BSBBSB: Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul?
14. 14ULBከቀርስጶስና ከጋይዮስ በቀር ማናችሁንም ስላላጠመቅሁ እግዚአብሔርን አመሰግናለሁ።BSBBSB: I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15. 15ULBስለዚህ ማናችሁም በእኔ ስም እንደተጠመቃችሁ ለመናገር አትችሉም። (የእስጢፋኖስን ቤተ ሰብ ደግሞ አጥምቄአለሁ።BSBBSB: so no one can say that you were baptized into my name.
16. 16ULBከዚህ ውጪ ሌላ ማንን አጥምቄ እንደሆነ አላውቅም።)BSBBSB: Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that I do not remember if I baptized anyone else.
17. 17ULBክርስቶስ ወንጌልን እንድሰብክ እንጂ እንዳጥምቅ አላከኝም። በሰው ጥበብ እንድሰብክ አልላከኝም፤ እንዲሁም የክርስቶስ መስቀል ኃይሉ ከንቱ መሆን ስለሌለበት በሰው የንግግር ጥበብ አልሰብክም።BSBBSB: For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with words of wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
18. 18ULBስለመስቀሉ ያለው መልእክት ለሚጠፉት ሞኝነት፤ ነገር ግን ለምንድን ለእኛ የእግዚአብሔር ኃይል ነው።BSBBSB: For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19. 19ULB"የጥበበኖችን ጥበብ አጠፋለሁ፤ የአስተዋዮችንም ማስተዋል ከንቱ አደርጋለሁ" ተብሎ ተጽፎአልና።BSBBSB: For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
20. 20ULBጥበበኛ ሰው የት አለ? ፈላስፋስ የት አለ? የዚህ ዓለም መርማሪስ የት አለ? እግዚአብሔር የዚህን ዓለም ጥበብ ሞኝነት እንዲሆን አላደረገምን?BSBBSB: Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21. 21ULBዓለም በጥበብዋ እግዚአብሔርን ስላላወቀች በስብከት ሞኝነት የሚያምኑትን ሊያድን የእግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ ሆኖአል።BSBBSB: For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
22. 22ULBአይሁድ ታዓምራትን ይፈልጋሉ፤ የግሪክ ሰዎችም ጥበብን ይሻሉ።BSBBSB: Jews demand signs and Greeks search for wisdom,
23. 23ULBእኛ ግን የተሰቀለውን ክርስቶስን እንሰብካለን። ይህም ለአይሁድ ማሰናከያ ለግሪክ ሰዎችም ሞኝነት ነው።BSBBSB: but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
24. 24ULBነገር ግን እግዚአብሔር ለጠራቸው ለአይሁዶችም ሆነ ለግሪክ ሰዎች የእግዚአብሔር ኃይልና ጥበብ የሆነውን ክርስቶስን እንሰብካለን።BSBBSB: but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25. 25ULBምክንያቱም የእግዚአብሔር ሞኝነት የሚመስለው ነገር ከሰዎች ጥበብ ይበልጣል፤ እንዲሁም የእግዚአብሔር ድካም የሚመስለው ነገር ከሰዎች ብርታት ይበልጣል።BSBBSB: For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.
26. 26ULBወንድሞችና እህቶች ሆይ፤ በእናንተ ያለውን የእግዚአብሔርን ጥሪ ተመልከቱ። ብዙዎቻችሁ በሰው መስፈርት ጥበበኞች አልነበራችሁም። ብዙዎቻችሁ ኃያላን አልነበራችሁም፤ ብዙዎቻችሁም ከመሳፍንት አልነበራችሁም።BSBBSB: Brothers, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth.
27. 27ULBነገር ግን እግዚአብሔር ጥበበኞችን ያሳፍር ዘንድ የዓለምን ሞኝ ነገር መረጠ። ብርቱንም ነገር ለማሳፈር የዓለምን ደካማ ነገር መረጠ።BSBBSB: But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28. 28ULBዓለም እንደ ከበረ ነገር የምትቆጥረውን ከንቱ ለማድረግ እግዚአብሔ የዓለምን ምናምንቴ ነገር መረጠ። የተናቀውንና ያልሆነውን ነገር መረጠ።BSBBSB: He chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are,
29. 29ULBይህን ያደረገው ማንም ሰው በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ለመመካት ምክንያት እንዳይኖረው ነው።BSBBSB: so that no one may boast in His presence.
30. 30ULBበክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ለመሆን የበቃችሁት ከእግዚአብሔር ሥራ የተነሳ ነው፤ እርሱም ከእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ ጥበባችን፤ጽድቃችንና ቅድስናችን ቤዛችንም ሆኖአልና።BSBBSB: It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.
31. 31ULBእንግዲህ እንዲህ ተብሎ እንደ ተጻፈ ፦"የሚመካ በጌታ ይመካ" ነው።BSBBSB: Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
