1 ULB እኔ ክርስቶስን እንደምመስል፣እናንተም እኔን ምሰሉ። BSB BSB: You are to imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
2 ULB አሁን የማመሰግናችሁ በሁሉ ነገር ስለምታስቡኝ ነው። ለእናንተ ያስተላለፍኳቸውን ልምዶች ልክ እንደዚያው እንዳሉ አጥብቃችሁ በመያዛችሁ አመሰግናችኋለሁ። BSB BSB: Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you.
3 ULB ክርስቶስ የወንድ ሁሉ ራስ ፣ወንድ ደግሞ የሴት ራስ፣ እግዚአብሔር የክርስቶስ ራስ እንደሆነ እንድትረዱ እፈልጋለሁ። BSB BSB: But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
4 ULB ራሱን ሸፍኖ የሚጸልይ ወይም ትንቢት የሚናገር ወንድ የእርሱ ራስ የሆነውን ክብር ያሳጣል። BSB BSB: Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
6 ULB ሴት ራሷን ካልሸፈነች፣ጠጕሯን አሳጥራ መቆረጥ ይኖርባታል። ሴት ጠጕሯን አሳጥራ መቆረጧ ወይም መላጭቷ አሳፋሪ ከሆነ፣ ራሷን ትሸፍን። BSB BSB: If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. And if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.
7 ULB ወንድ ራሱን መሸፈን የለበትም፣ ምክንያቱም እርሱ የእግዚአብሔር መልክ እና ክብር ነውና። BSB BSB: A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
8 ULB ሴት ግን የወንድ ክብር ነች። ወንድ ከሴት አልተገኘምና። ይልቁንስ፣ሴት ከወንድ ተገኝታለች። BSB BSB: For man did not come from woman, but woman from man.
9 ULB ወንድ ለሴት አልተፈጠረም፣ሴት ግን ለወንድ ተፈጥራለች። BSB BSB: Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
10 ULB ለዚህ ነው፣ ከመላእክቱ የተነሳ፣ ሴት በራሷ ላይ የሥልጣን ምልክት ሊኖራት የሚገባው። BSB BSB: For this reason a woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels.
11 ULB የሆነ ሆኖ፣በጌታ ሴት ከወንድ፣ ወንድም ከሴት የተነጣጠሉ አይደሉም። BSB BSB: In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
12 ULB ሴት የተገኘችው ከወንድ እንደሆነ ሁሉ፣ወንድም የተገኘው ከሴት ነው። ሁሉም ነገር ደግሞ የተነኘው ከእግዚአብሔር ነው። BSB BSB: For just as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.
13 ULB ራሳችሁ ፍረዱ፦ሴት ራሷን ሳትሸፈን ወደ እግዚአብሔር ብትጸልይ ተገቢ ነው? BSB BSB: Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14 ULB ወንድስ ረጅም ጠጕር ቢኖረው አሳፋሪ እንደሆነ ተፈጥሮ ራሱ አያስተምራችሁም? BSB BSB: Doesn’t nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,
15 ULB ሴት ግን ረጅም ጠጕር ቢኖራት ክብሯ እንደሆነ ተፈጥሮ ራሱ አያስተምራችሁም? ለእርሷ ጠጕር የተሰጣት እንደ መሸፈኛ ነውና። BSB BSB: but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.
16 ULB ነገር ግን በዚህ ማንም ክርክር ሊያስነሳ ቢፈልግ፣እኛም ሆንን የእግዚአብሔር አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ከዚህ የተለየ ልምምድ የላቸውም። BSB BSB: If anyone is inclined to dispute this, we have no other practice, nor do the churches of God.
17 ULB በሚከተሉት መመሪያዎቼ ግን፣አላመሰግናችሁም። ምክንያቱም በምትሰበሰቡበት ጊዜ፣ ለተሻለ ነገር ሳይሆን እጅግ ለከፋ ነገር ትሰበሰባላችሁ። BSB BSB: In the following instructions I have no praise to offer, because your gatherings do more harm than good.
18 ULB በመጀመሪያ፣ በቤተክርስቲያን ስትሰበሰቡ በመካከላችሁ መከፋፈል እንዳለ ሰምቼአለሁ፣ ደግሞም ይህ እንደሚሆን በመጠኑም ቢሆን አምኜበታልሁ። BSB BSB: First of all, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.
19 ULB ምክንያቱም በእናንተ መካከል ተቀባይነትያላቸው እንዲለዩ የተለያዩ ቡድኖች መኖራቸው ግድ ነው። BSB BSB: And indeed, there must be differences among you to show which of you are approved.
20 ULB በአንድነት በምትሰብሰቡበት ጊዜ፣የምትበሉት የጌታን ማዕድ አይደለምና። BSB BSB: Now then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat.
21 ULB በምትበሉበት ጊዜ፣ሌሎች ምግብ ከማግኘታቸው በፊት እያንዳንዱ ቀድሞ የየራሱን ምግብ ይበላል። አንዱ ተርቦ ሳለ ሌላው ይሰክራል። BSB BSB: For as you eat, each of you goes ahead without sharing his meal. While one remains hungry, another gets drunk.
22 ULB የምትበሉበትና የምትጠጡበት ቤት የላችሁም? የእግዚአብሔርን ቤተክርስቲያን በመናቅ ምንም የሌላቸውን ታዋርዳላችሁ? ምን ልበላችሁ? ታዲያ ላመስግናችሁ? ለዚህ አላምሰግናችሁም! BSB BSB: Don’t you have your own homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? No, I will not!
23 ULB ከጌታ የተቀበልሁትን ለእናንተ አሳልፌ ሰጥቼአለሁ፣ ጌታ ኢየሱስ ታልፎ በተሰጠበት ምሽት፣እንጀራ አንሳ። BSB BSB: For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread,
24 ULB ካመሰገነ በኋላ ቆረሰውና፣"ለእናንተ የሆነ ሥጋዬ ይህ ነው፣ይህን እኔን ለማስታወስ አድርጉት፣" አለ። BSB BSB: and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 ULB እንዲሁም ከእራት በኋላ ጽዋን አንስቶ፣"ይህ በደሜ የሚሆን አዲስ ኪዳን ነው።ይህን በጠጣችሁ ጊዜ ሁሉ እኔን ለማስታወስ አድርጉት።" BSB BSB: In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 ULB ይህን እንጀራ በበላችሁ እና ይህን ጽዋ በጠጣችሁ ጊዜ ሁሉ፣ጌታ እስኪመጣ ድረስ ሞቱን ታውጃላችሁ። BSB BSB: For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
27 ULB ስለዚህ ማንም፣ተገቢ ባልሆነ ሁኔታ የጌታን እንጀራ ቢበላ ወይም የጌታን ጽዋ ቢጠጣ፣ለጌታ ሥጋ እና ለጌታ ደም ተጠያቂ ይሆናል። BSB BSB: Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
28 ULB አንድ ሰው ራሱን ከመረመረ በኋላ እንጀራውን ይብላ ጽዋዉንም ይጠጣ። BSB BSB: Each one must examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
29 ULB የጌታ ሥጋ መሆኑን ሳይረዳ የሚበላ እና የሚጠጣ፣በራሱ ላይ ፍርድን ይበላል ይጠጣልም። BSB BSB: For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
30 ULB በመካከላችሁ ብዙዎች የታመሙ እና በሽተኞች የሆኑት ስለዚህ ነው፣ አንዳንዶችም ደግሞ ሞተዋል። BSB BSB: That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
31 ULB ነገር ግን ራሳችንን ብንመረምር አይፈረድብንም። BSB BSB: Now if we judged ourselves properly, we would not come under judgment.
32 ULB በጌታ ስንፈረድ ግን፣ከዓለም ጋር እንዳንኮነን እንገሠጻለን። BSB BSB: But when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
33 ULB ስለዚህ፣ወንድሞቼ እና እህቶቼ፣ለመብላት ስትሰበሰቡ፣እርስ በርሳችሁ ተጠባበቁ። BSB BSB: So, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 ULB ማንም የተራበ ቢኖር፣እቤቱ ይብላ፣እንዲያ ሲሆን ስትሰበሰቡ ለፍርድ አይሆንባችሁም። ስለ ጻፋችሁልኝ ሌሎች ነገሮች፣ስመጣ መመሪያዎችን እሰጣለሁ። BSB BSB: If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you come together it will not result in judgment. And when I come, I will give instructions about the remaining matters.
