1 ULB በሰዎች እና በመላእክት ልሳኖች ብናገር፣ግን ፍቅር ከሌለኝ፣የሚንጫጫ ቃጭል ወይም የሚጮህ ታንቡር ነኝ። BSB BSB: If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 ULB የትንቢት ስጦታ ቢኖረኝ፣ የተሰወሩ እውነቶችን እና እውቀት ሁሉ ቢኖረኝ፣ተራሮችን ከስፍራቸው የሚያስወግድ እምነት ሁሉ ቢኖረኝ፣ ፍቅር ከሌለኝ ግን ምንም የማይጠቅም ነኝ። BSB BSB: If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 ULB ድሆችን ለመመገብ ያለኝን ሁሉ ብሰጥ፣ ሰውነቴንም እንዲቃጠል ብሰጥ፣ፍቅር ከሌለኝ ግን ምንም አይጠቅመኝም። BSB BSB: If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 ULB ፍቅር ታጋሽና ደግ ነው። ፍቅር አይመቀኝም ደግሞም አይመካም። አይታበይም BSB BSB: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 ULB ወይም ትህትና የጎደለው አይደለም። ራስ ወዳድ አይደለም። በቀላሉ አይበሳጭም፤ወይም በደልን አይቆጥርም። BSB BSB: It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs.
6 ULB ፍቅር በአመጽ ደስ አይሰኝም፣በእውነት ግን ደስ ይለዋል። BSB BSB: Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth.
7 ULB ፍቅር ሁሉን ይታገሳል፤ሁሉን ያምናል፤በሁሉም ድፍረት አለው በሁሉ ይጸናል። BSB BSB: It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 ULB ፍቅር ፍጻሜ የለውም። ትንቢቶች ያልፋሉ፤ልሳኖችም ቢሆኑ ያበቃሉ፤ዕውቀትም ቢሆን ጊዜ ያልፍበታል። BSB BSB: Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed.
9 ULB ከዕውቀት የተወሰነውን እናውቃልን፣ትንቢትም በከፊል እንተነቢያለን። BSB BSB: For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 ULB ነገር ግን ፍጹም የሆነው ሲመጣ፣ፍጹም ያልሆነው ወደ ፍጻሜ ይደርሳል። BSB BSB: but when the perfect comes, the partial passes away.
11 ULB ልጅ በነበርሁበት ጊዜ፣እንደ ልጅ እናገር ነበር፣እንደ ልጅም አስብ ነበር፣የመረዳት ችሎታዬም እንደ ልጅ ነበር። ጎልማሳ ስሆን ግን የልጅነት ነገሮችን አስወገድሁ። BSB BSB: When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways.
12 ULB አሁን በጨለማ ውስጥ ያለን ምስል በመስታዋት እንደሚያይ እንመለከታለን፣የዚያን ጊዜ ግን ፊት ለፊት እናያለን። አሁን ዕውቀትን በከፊል አውቃለሁ፣የዚያን ጊዜ ግን ልክ እኔ ሙሉ በሙሉ እንደምታወቀው ሙሉ በሙሉ አውቃለሁ። BSB BSB: Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 ULB ነገር ግን እምነት፣ ተስፋ፣ፍቅር እነዚህ ሦስቱ ግን ጸንተው ይኖራሉ። ከእነዚህ የሚበልጠው ፍቅር ነው። BSB BSB: And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.
