1 ULB ወንድሞችና እህቶች ሆይ፤ እንደ ሥጋውያን፤ በክርስቶስም እንደ ሕፃናት እንጂ መንፈሳውያን እንደ ሆናችሁ ልናገራችሁ አልቻልሁም። BSB BSB: Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly—as infants in Christ.
2 ULB ገና ጠንካራ ምግብ ለመብላት ስላልቻላችሁ ጠንካራ ምግብ ሳይሆን ወተት ጋትኋችሁ። እስከ አሁን ስንኳ ጠንካራ ምግብ ለመብላት ገና አልበቃችሁም። BSB BSB: I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. In fact, you are still not ready,
3 ULB ምክንያቱም ገና ሥጋውያን ናችሁና። ቅናትና ክርክር ስለ ሚገኝባችሁ በሥጋ ፈቃድ እየኖራችሁ አይደላችሁምን? እንደ ሰውስ ልማድ እየተመላለሳችሁ አይደለምን? BSB BSB: for you are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and dissension among you, are you not worldly? Are you not walking in the way of man?
4 ULB አንዱ፦ "እኔ ጳውሎስን እከተላለሁ" እንዲሁም ሌላውም፦ "እኔ የአጵሎስ ተከታይ ነኝ" ሲል እንደ ሰዎች ልማድ መመላለሳችሁ አይደለምን? BSB BSB: For when one of you says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men?
5 ULB ታዲያ አጵሎስ ማን ነው? ጳውሎስስ ማን ነው? በእነርሱ እጅ ያመናችሁ እንደ ተሰጣቸው አገልጋዮች ናቸው። BSB BSB: What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each his role.
6 ULB እኔ ተክልሁ አጽሎስም አጠጣ፤ ግን ያሳደገው እግዚአብሔር ነው። BSB BSB: I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.
7 ULB እንግዲህ የሚተክል ወይም የሚያጠጣ ምንም አይደለም። ነገር ግን የሚያሳድግ እግዚአብሔር ነው። BSB BSB: So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
8 ULB የሚተክልና የሚያጠጣ አንድ ናቸው። እንዲሁም እያንዳንዱ እንደ ራሱ ድካም መሠረት የራሱን ደመወዝ ይቀበላል። BSB BSB: He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
9 ULB ምክንያቱም ከእግዚአብሔር ጋር አብረን የምንሠራ ነን። የእግዚአብሔር እርሻ፤ የእግዚአብሔርም ሕንፃ ናችሁ።። BSB BSB: For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
10 ULB ከእግዚአብሔር በተሰጠኝ ጸጋ እንደ ዋና ሙያተኛ መሐንድስ መሠረትን ጠልሁ፤ ሌላውም ሰው በላዩ ያንጻል። እያንዳንዱ ሰው ግን በእርሱ ላይ እንዴት እንደሚያንጽ ይጠንቀቅ። BSB BSB: By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds.
11 ULB ከተመሠረተው በቀር ማንም ሌላ መሠረት ሊመሠርት አይችልም፤ እርሱም ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ነው። BSB BSB: For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 ULB ማንም ግን በዚህ መሠረት ላይ በወርቅ ቢሆን፤ በብር፤ በከበረ ድንጋይ፤ በእንጨት፤ በሣር ወይም በአገዳ ቢያንጽ፤ BSB BSB: If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
13 ULB የእያንዳንዱ ሥራ ይገለጣል፤ የቀን ብርሃንም ይገልጠዋልና። የእያንዳንዱም ሥራ ጥራት እንዴት መሆኑን እሳቱ ይፈትነዋል። BSB BSB: his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work.
14 ULB አንድ ሰው ማንኛውንም ነገር ያነጸው ሥራ ቢጸናለት ሽልማቱን ይቀበላል። ነገር ግን የማንም ሥራ የተቃጠለበት ከሆነ ይከስራል። BSB BSB: If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward.
15 ULB ነገር ግን እርሱ ራሱ ከእሳት እንደሚያመልጥ ሆኖ ይድናል። BSB BSB: If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames.
16 ULB እናንተ የእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ እንደሆናችሁ፤ የእግዚአብሔርም መንፈስ እንደሚኖርባችሁ አታውቁምን? BSB BSB: Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
17 ULB ማንም የእግዚአብሔርን ቤተ መቅደስ ቢያፈርስ እግዚአብሔር እርሱን ያፈርሰዋል። የእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ ቅዱስ እንደሆነ እናንተም እናንተም ቅዱሳን ናችሁ። BSB BSB: If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
18 ULB ማንም ራሱን አያታልል። ከእናንተ መካከል ማንም በዚህ ዘመን ጥበበኛ እንደሆነው ቢያስብ፤ ጥበበኛ ይሆን ዘንድ እንደ ሞኝ ራሱን ይቁጠር። BSB BSB: Let no one deceive himself. If any of you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a fool, so that he may become wise.
19 ULB የዚህ ዓለም ጥበብ በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ሞኝነት ነውና። ምክንያቱም "እርሱ ጥበበኞችን በተንኮላቸው ይይዛል" ተብሎ ተጽፎአል። BSB BSB: For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”
20 ULB ደግሞም፦ "ጌታ የጥበበኞችን አሳብ ከንቱ እንደ ሆን ያውቃል" ተብሎ ተጽፎአል። BSB BSB: And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”
21 ULB ስለዚህ ማንም በሰው አይመካ። ነገር ሁሉ የእናንተ ነውና፤ BSB BSB: Therefore, stop boasting in men. All things are yours,
22 ULB ጳውሎስ ቢሆን፥ ወይም አጵሎስ ቢሆን፥ ወይም ኬፋ ቢሆን፥ ወይም ዓለምም ቢሆን፥ወይም ሕይወት ቢሆን፥ ወይም ሞት ቢሆን፥ ወይም ያለውም ቢሆን፥ ወይም የሚመጣውም ቢሆን BSB BSB: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. All of them belong to you,
23 ULB ሁሉ የእናንተ ነው፤ እናንተም የክርስቶስ ናችሁ፤ ክርስቶስም የእግዚአብሔር ነው። BSB BSB: and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
