1 ULB በሐናኒ ልጅ በነቢዩ ኢዩ አማካይነት እግዚአብሔር ስለ ባኦስ የተናገረው ቃል እንዲህ ሲል መጣ፡- BSB BSB: Then the word of the LORD came to Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha, saying:
2 ULB እኔ ግን ከትቢያ አንሥቼ የሕዝቤ የእስራኤል መሪ እንድትሆን ከፍ ከፍ አደረግሁህ፤ ታዲያ አንተ እንደ ኢዮርብዓም ኃጢአት ሠራህ፤ ሕዝቤንም ወደ ኃጢአት መራህ፤ የኃጢአታቸውም ብዛት የእኔን ቁጣ አነሣሥቶአል፡፡ BSB BSB: “Even though I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have caused My people Israel to sin and to provoke Me to anger by their sins.
3 ULB ስለዚህ ኢዮርብዓምን እንዳሰወገድኩ አንተንና ቤተ ሰብህንም አስወግዳለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: So now I will consume Baasha and his house, and I will make your house like that of Jeroboam son of Nebat:
4 ULB በከተማይቱ ውስጥ የሚሞተውን ማንኛውንም የባኦስ ቤተ ሰብ ውሾች ይበሉታል፤ በሜዳ ላይ የሚሞተውንም የሰማይ አሞራዎች ይበሉታል፡፡ BSB BSB: Anyone belonging to Baasha who dies in the city will be eaten by dogs, and anyone who dies in the field will be eaten by the birds of the air.”
5 ULB ባኦስ ያደረገው ሌላው ነገርና የጀግንነት ሥራዎቹም ሁሉ በእስራኤል ነገሥታት የታሪክ መጽሐፍ ተመዝግቦ ይገኝ የለምን? BSB BSB: As for the rest of the acts of Baasha, along with his accomplishments and might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
6 ULB ባኦስም ከአባቶቹ ጋር አንቀላፋ፤ በቲርጻም ተቀበረ፡፡ በእርሱም ፈንታ ተተክቶ ልጁ ኤላ ነገሠ፡፡ BSB BSB: And Baasha rested with his fathers and was buried in Tirzah, and his son Elah reigned in his place.
7 ULB እግዚአብሔር በነቢዩ ኢዩ አማካይነት በባኦስና በቤተ ሰቡ ላይ የትንቢት ቃል የተናገረው፣ ባኦስ በፈጸመው ኃጢአት በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ክፉ በማድረጉ ነበር፡፡ ባኦስ እግዚአብሔርን ያስቆጣውም ከእርሱ ፊት የነበረው ንጉሥ ባደረገው ዓይነት ስለ ሠራው ክፉ ነገር ብቻ ሳይሆን የኢዮርብዓምንም ቤተ ሰብ ሁሉ በመግደሉ ጭምር ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: Moreover, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha and his house, because of all the evil he had done in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger with the work of his hands and becoming like the house of Jeroboam, and also because Baasha had struck down the house of Jeroboam.
8 ULB አሳ በይሁዳ በነገሠ በሃያ ስድስተኛው ዓመት የባኦስ ልጅ ኤላ በእስራኤል መንገሥ ጀመረ፡፡ በቲርጻም ሁለት ዓመት ገዛ፡፡ BSB BSB: In the twenty-sixth year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Elah son of Baasha became king of Israel, and he reigned in Tirzah two years.
9 ULB የሠረገላዎቹ እኩሌታ ኃላፊ የሆነ ዚምሪ ከጦር መኮንኖቹ አንዱ በንጉሡ ላይ ዐደመ፡፡ ኤላም በቲርጻ ከተማ የቤተ መንግሥቱ ኃላፊ በሆነው አርጻ ተብሎ በሚጠራው ባለሟሉ ቤት ብዙ መጠጥ ጠጥቶ ሰክሮ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: However, while Elah was in Tirzah getting drunk in the house of Arza the steward of his household there, Elah’s servant Zimri, the commander of half his chariots, conspired against him.
10 ULB በዚህ ጊዜ ዚምሪ ወደዚያ ቤት ገብቶ ኤላን ገደለው፤ እርሱም በኤላ ፈንታ የይሁዳ ንጉሥ አሳ በነገሠ በሃያ ሰባተኛው ዓመት ተተክቶ ነገሠ፡፡ BSB BSB: So in the twenty-seventh year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Zimri went in, struck Elah down, and killed him. And Zimri reigned in his place.
11 ULB ዘምሪም በዙፋን ላይ እንደተቀመጠ ወዲያውኑ የባኦስ ቤተ ሰብ አባላት የሆኑትን በሙሉ ገደለ፤ የባኦስ ዘመድና ወዳጅ የሆነውን ወንድ አንድ እንኳ ሳይቀር ሁሉንም በሞት ቀጣ፡፡ BSB BSB: As soon as Zimri began to reign and was seated on the throne, he struck down the entire household of Baasha. He did not leave a single male, whether a kinsman or friend.
12 ULB እግዚአብሔር ነቢዩ በኢዩ አማካይነት በባኦስ ላይ በተናገረው ትንቢት መሠረት ዚምሪ የባኦስን ቤተ ሰብ በሙሉ ፈጀ፡፡ BSB BSB: So Zimri destroyed the entire household of Baasha, according to the word that the LORD had spoken against Baasha through Jehu the prophet.
13 ULB ይህም የሆነበት ምክንያት ባኦስና ልጁ ኤላ ጣዖት በማምለካቸውና የእስራኤልን ሕዝብ ወደ ኃጢአት በመምራታቸው፣ የእስራኤልንም አምላክ የእግዚአብሔርን ቁጣ በማነሣሣታቸው ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: This happened because of all the sins Baasha and his son Elah had committed and had caused Israel to commit, provoking the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger with their worthless idols.
14 ULB ኤላ ያደረገው ሌላው ነገር ሁሉ በእስራኤል ነገሥታት የታሪክ መጽሐፍ ተመዝግቦ ይገኝ የለምን? BSB BSB: As for the rest of the acts of Elah, along with all his accomplishments, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
15 ULB አሳ በይሁዳ በነገሠ በሃያ ሰባተኛው ዓመት ዚምሪ በቲርጻ ለሰባት ቀኖች ብቻ በእስራኤል ላይ ነገሠ፡፡ በዚያን ጊዜ የአስራኤል ወታደሮች በፍልስጥኤም የምትገኘውን የገባቶንን ከተማ ከበው ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: In the twenty-seventh year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Zimri reigned in Tirzah for seven days. Now the troops were encamped against Gibbethon of the Philistines,
16 ULB ዘምሪ ዐምፆ ንጉሡን መግደሉን በሰሙ ጊዜ በዚያው እንዳሉ ወዲያውኑ የጦር አዛዥ የነበረውን ዖምሪን አነገሡ፡፡ BSB BSB: and the people in the camp heard that Zimri had conspired against the king and struck him down. So there in the camp that very day, all Israel proclaimed Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel.
17 ULB ዖምሪና ወታደሮቹ የገባቶንን ከበባ አቆሙ፤ ከዚያም ገሥግሠው ሄደው ቲርጻን ከበቡ፡፡ BSB BSB: Then Omri and all the Israelites marched up from Gibbethon and besieged Tirzah.
18 ULB ዘምሪ ከተማይቱ እንደተያዘች ባየ ጊዜ በቤተ መንግሥቱ ውስጠኛ ክፍል ወዳለው ምሽግ ውስጥ ገብቶ በቤተ መንግሥቱ ላይ እሳት ለቀቀበት፤ እርሱም በእሳት ነበልባል ተቃጥሎ ሞተ፡፡ BSB BSB: When Zimri saw that the city was captured, he entered the citadel of the royal palace and burned it down upon himself. So he died
19 ULB ይህ የሆነው እርሱ በሠራው ኃጢአትና እስራኤልንም ወደ ኃጢአት በመምራቱ ምክንያት ከእርሱ በፊት እንደ ነበረው እንደ ኢዮርብዓም እግዚአብሔርን ስላስቆጣው ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: because of the sins he had committed, doing evil in the sight of the LORD and following the example of Jeroboam and the sin he had committed and had caused Israel to commit.
20 ULB ዘምሪ የሠራው ሌላው ነገር ሁሉና ያደረገውም ሤራ ጭምር በእስራኤል ነገሥታት የታሪክ መጽሐፍ ተመዝግቦ የሚገኝ አይደለምን? BSB BSB: As for the rest of the acts of Zimri and the treason he committed, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
21 ULB በዚያን ጊዜ የእስራኤል ሕዝብ ከሁለት ተከፍለው ነበር፡፡ ከዚህም የተነሣ አንደኛው ክፍል ታምኒን ተብሎ የሚጠራውን የጎናትን ልጅ ለማንገሥ ሲፈልግ ሌላው ክፍል ደግም ዖምሪን ለመደገፍ ይፈልግ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: At that time the people of Israel were divided: Half of the people supported Tibni son of Ginath as king, and half supported Omri.
22 ULB ነገር ግን የዖምሪ ተከታዮች ከጎናት ልጅ ታምኒን ይልቅ ጠንካራ ነበሩ፡፡ ስለዚህም ታምኒን ተገደለ፤ ዖምሪም ንጉሥ ሆነ፡፡ BSB BSB: But the followers of Omri proved stronger than those of Tibni son of Ginath. So Tibni died and Omri became king.
23 ULB በዚህ ዓይነት አሳ በይህዳ በነገሠ በሠላሳ አንደኛው ዓመት ዖምሪ በእስራኤል ላይ ነግሦ ዐሥራ ሁለት ዓመት ገዛ፡፡ የመጀመሪያዎቹን ስድስት ዓመቶች የገዛውም መቀመጫውን በቲርጻ አድርጎ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: In the thirty-first year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned twelve years, six of them in Tirzah.
24 ULB ከዚያም በኋላ ሳምር ተብሎ ከሚጠራው ሰው የሰማርያ ኮረብታን በስድስት ሺህ ጥሬ ብር ገዛው፡፡ ዖምሪ በኮረብታው ላይ ከተማ ቆረቆረ፤ ከተማይቱንም ቀድሞ የኮረብታው ባለንብረት በሆነው በሳምር ስም ሰማርያ ብሎ ሰየማት፡፡ BSB BSB: He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver and built a city there, calling it Samaria after the name of Shemer, who had owned the hill.
25 ULB ዖምሪ ከእርሱ በፊት ከነበሩት ነገሥታት ይበልጥ የከፋ ኅጢአት በመሥራቱ እግዚአብሔርን አሳዘነ፡፡ BSB BSB: But Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD and acted more wickedly than all who were before him.
26 ULB እርሱ በሠራው ኃጢአትና አስራኤልን ወደ ኃጢአት በመምራት ዋጋ ወደሌላው ጣዖት አምልኮ መምራቱ ከእርሱ በፊት እንደ ነበረው እንደ ኢዮርብዓም የእስራኤልን አምላክ የእግዚአብሔርን ቁጣ አነሣሣ፡፡ BSB BSB: For he walked in all the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat and in his sins, which he caused Israel to commit, provoking the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger with their worthless idols.
27 ULB ዖምሪ ያደረገው ሌላው ነገር ሁሉና ያከናወነውም ሁሉ በእስራኤል ነገሥታት የታሪክ መጽሐፍ ተመዝግቦ ይገኝ የለምን? BSB BSB: As for the rest of the acts of Omri, along with his accomplishments and the might he exercised, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
28 ULB ዖምሪም ከአባቶቹ ጋር አንቀላፋ፤ በሰማርያም ተቀበረ፤ በእርሱም ፈንታ ተተክቶ ልጁ አክዓብ ነገሠ፡፡ BSB BSB: And Omri rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria, and his son Ahab reigned in his place.
30 ULB የዖምሪ ልጅ አክዓብ ከእርሱ በፊት ከነበሩት ሁሉ የባሰ ክፉ ነገር በያህዌ ፊት አደረገ። BSB BSB: However, Ahab son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD, more than all who were before him.
31 ULB አክዓብ ንጉሥ ኢዮርብዓም የሠራውን ኅጢአት እንደ ቀላል ነገር አድርጎ በመቁጠር እርሱም ራሱ ያንኑ ኃጢአት ሠራ፤ ከዚህም ሁሉ አልፎ የሲዶና ንጉሥ የኤትበዓል ልጅ የሆነችውን አረማዊቷን ኤልዛቤልን አገባ፤ ባዓል ተብሎ የሚጠራውንም ጣዖት አመለከ፤ ሰገደለትም፡፡ BSB BSB: And as if it were not enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, he even married Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and he then proceeded to serve and worship Baal.
32 ULB በሰማርያ ለባዓል ቤተ መቅደስ አሠርቶ መሠዊያ ሠራለት፡፡ BSB BSB: First, Ahab set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal that he had built in Samaria.
33 ULB አሼራ ተብላ የምትጠራውንም የሴት አምላክ ምስል አቆመ፤ ከእርሱ በፊት ከነበሩትም የእስራኤል ነገሥታት ሁሉ ይበልጥ የእስራኤልን አምላክ የእግዚአብሔርን ቁጣ የሚያነሣሣ ኃጢአት ሠራ፡፡ BSB BSB: Then he set up an Asherah pole. Thus Ahab did more to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel before him.
34 ULB በአክዓብ ዘመነ መንግሥት አኪኤል ተብሎ የሚጠራ የቤቴል ተወላጅ ኢያሪኮን መልሶ ሠራ፤ እግዚአብሔር በነዌ ልጅ በኢያሱ አማካይነት አስቀድሞ በተናገረው ቃል መሠረት አኪኤል የኢያሪኮን የመሠረት ድንጋይ በሚያኖርበት ጊዜ በነዌም ልጅ በኢያሱ እንደ ተነገረው እንደ እግዚብሔር ቃል፣ የበኩር ልጁ አቢሮን ሞተበት፤ የቅጥርዋንም በሮች በሚሠራበት ጊዜ ታናሹ ልጁ ሠጉብ ሞተ፡፡ BSB BSB: In Ahab’s days, Hiel the Bethelite rebuilt Jericho. At the cost of Abiram his firstborn he laid its foundation, and at the cost of Segub his youngest he set up its gates, according to the word that the LORD had spoken through Joshua son of Nun.
