1 Kings 4 (ULB)

1ንጉሡ ሰሎሞን በመላው አስራኤል ላይ ነግሦ ነበር።So King Solomon ruled over Israel,

2ንጉሡም የሾማቸው ባለሥልጣኖች እነዚህ ናቸው። እነርሱም፡- ዓዛርያስ የተባለው የሳዶቅ ልጅ፡- ካህን ነበር።and these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadok was the priest;

3ኤልያፍና አኪያ የተባሉ የሴባ ልጆች የቤተ መንግሥት ጻሐፊዎች ነበሩ። ኢዮሣፍጥ የተባለው የአሒሉድ ልጅ ታሪክ ጻሐፊና የመዛግብት ኃላፊ ነበር።Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, were secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;

4በናያስ የተባለው የዮዳሄ ልጅ የጦር ሠራዊት አዘዥ ነበር። ሳዶቅና አብያታር ካህናት ነበሩ።Benaiah son of Jehoiada was in charge of the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

5ዓዛርያስ የተባለው የናታን ልጅ፡- የክፍለተ አገራት ገዢዎች የበላይ ኃላፊ ነበር። የናታን ልጅ ዛቡድ፡- ካህንና የንጉሡ አማካሪ ነበር።Azariah son of Nathan was in charge of the governors; Zabud son of Nathan was a priest and adviser to the king;

6አሒሳር የተባለው፡- የቤተ መንግሥት አገልጋዮች ኃላፊ፤ አዶኒራም የተባለው የዓብዳ ልጅ፡- የግዳጅ ሥራ ተቆጣጣሪና ኃላፊ ነበር።Ahishar was in charge of the palace; and Adoniram son of Abda was in charge of the forced labor.

7ንጉሡ ሰሎሞንም በመላው እስራኤል ለንጉሡና ለንጉሡ ቤተ ሰብ ቀለብ የሚያዘጋጁ ዐሥራ ሁለት ባለሥልጣኖች ነበሩት፡፡ እያንዳንዳቸውም በዓመት ውስጥ ለአንድ ወር ቀለብ የማቅረብ ግዴታ ነበረባቸው፡፡Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel to provide food for the king and his household. Each one would arrange provisions for one month of the year,

8የእነዚህም ዐሥራ ሁለት ገዢዎችና የሚያስተዳድሩአቸው ግዛቶች ስም ዝርዝር ከዚህ የሚከተለው ነው፡- ቤንሑር፡- ኮረብታማ የሆነችው የኤፍሬም አገር ገዢ፤and these were their names: Ben-hur in the hill country of Ephraim;

9ቤንዴር፡- የማቃጽ የሻዓልቢም፤ የቤትሻሜሽ፡- የኤሎንና የቤት ሐናን ከተሞች ገዢ፤Ben-deker in Makaz, in Shaalbim, in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon-beth-hanan;

10ቤንሔሴድ፡- የአሩቦትና የሶኮ ከተሞችና የመላው የሐፌር ግዛት አስተዳዳሪ፤Ben-hesed in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him);

11ጣፋት የተባለችውን የሰሎሞንን ሴት ልጅ አግብቶ የነበረው ቤን አሚናዳብ የመላው የዶር ግዛት አስተዳዳሪ፤Ben-abinadab in Naphath-dor (Taphath, a daughter of Solomon, was his wife);

12በዓና የተባለው የአሒሉድ ልጅ፡-የታዕናክና የመጊዶ ከተሞች፤ እንዲሁም በቤትሳን አጠገብ ያለው ግዛት በሙሉ በጸርታን ከተማ አጠገብ ያለው ግዛትና በኢይዝራኤል ከተማ በስተደቡብ ያለው ግዛት፤ እንዲሁም አቤልመሖላና ዮቅምዓም ተብለው እስከሚጠሩት ከተሞች ድረስ ያለው ግዛት ሁሉ አስተዳዳሪ፤Baana son of Ahilud in Taanach, in Megiddo, and in all of Beth-shean next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah and on past Jokmeam;

13በገለዓድ ራሞት ቤን ጌቤር ተብላ የምትጠራው ከተማ በገለዓድ የምናሴ ዘር የሆነው የኢያዕር ጎሣ ይዞታዎች የሆኑት መንደሮች፤ በባሳን አርጎብ ተብላ የምትጠራው ግዛት እንዲሁም በሮቻቸው የነሐስ መወርወሪያ ባሉአቸው የቅጥር ግንቦች የተመሸጉ በድምሩ የስልሳ ታላላቅ መንደሮች አስተዳዳሪ፤Ben-geber in Ramoth-gilead (the villages of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead belonged to him, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan with its sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars);

14አሒናዳብ የተባለው የዔዶ ልጅ፡- የመሃናይም ክፍለ አገር ገዢ፤Ahinadab son of Iddo in Mahanaim;

15መካከል ባስማት ተብላ የምትጠራውን የሰሎሞንን ሴት ልጅ አግብቶ የነበረው አኪማአስ፡- የንፍታሌም ግዛት አስተዳዳሪ፤Ahimaaz in Naphtali (he had married Basemath, a daughter of Solomon);

16በዓና የተባለው የሔሻይ ልጅ፡- የአሴር ግዛትና የበዓሎት ከተማ ገዢ፤Baana son of Hushai in Asher and in Aloth;

17ኢዮሣፍጥ የተባለው የፋሩሕ ልጅ፡- የይሳኮር ግዛት አስተዳዳሪ፤Jehoshaphat son of Paruah in Issachar;

18ሳሚ የተባለው የኤላ ልጅ፡- የብንያም ግዛት አስተዳዳሪ፤Shimei son of Ela in Benjamin;

19ጊቤር የተባለው የኡሪ ልጅ፡- በአሞራውያን ንጉሥ በሴዎንና በባሳን ንጉሥ በዐግ ትገዛ የነበረችው የገለዓድ ግዛት አስተዳዳሪ፤ እነዚህን ዐሥራ ሁለቱን አስተዳዳሪዎች የሚቆጣጠር በመላ አገራቱ ሌላ አንድ የበላይ ኃላፊ ነበር፡፡Geber son of Uri in the land of Gilead, including the territories of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan. There was also one governor in the land of Judah.

20የይሁዳና የእስራኤል ሕዝብ ብዛት እንደ ባሕር ዳር አሸዋ ነበር፤ እነዚህ ሁሉ እየበሉና እየጠጡ ዘወትር ደስ እየተሰኙ ነበር፡፡The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore, and they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.

21የሰሎሞንም ግዛት ከኤፍራጥስ ወንዝ ጀምሮ እስከ ፍልስጥኤም ግዛት፣ ከዚያም አልፎ እስከ ግብፅ ወሰን ያለውን አገር ሁሉ ያጠቃልል ነበር፤ የእነዚህም አገሮች ሕዝቦች በጠቅላላ ሰሎሞን በነበረበት ዘመን ሁሉ ለእርሱ ተገዢዎች ሆነው ይገብሩለት ነበር፡፡And Solomon reigned over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These kingdoms offered tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22ሰሎሞንም በየቀኑ ለቀለብ የሚሆን አምስት ሺህ ኪሎ ግራም ያህል ምርጥ ዱቄት፤ ዐሥር ሺህ ኪሎ ግራም ያህል ነበር፡፡Solomon’s provisions for a single day were thirty cors of fine flour, sixty cors of meal,

23በበረት ውስጥ እየተመገቡ የደለቡ ዐሥር ሰንጋዎችና በግጦሽ መስክ ተሰማርተው የተመገቡ ሃያ ፍሪዳዎች፣ አንድ መቶ በጎች፤ ከዚህም ሌላ አጋዘኖች፣ የሜዳ ፍየሎች፤ ሚዳቆዎችና ምርጥ ወፎች ያስፈልጉት ነበር፡፡ten fat oxen, twenty range oxen, and a hundred sheep, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened poultry.

24ሰሎሞን ከኤፍራጥስ ወንዝ በስተ ምዕራብ ያለው ምድር ሁሉ ከቲፍሳ ከተማ ጀምሮ እስከ ጋዛ ከተማ ድረስ ይገዛ ነበር፤ ይህም ከኤፍራጥስ ወንዝ በስተምዕራብ የሚገኙትን ነገሥታት ሁሉ ያጠቃልላል፤ ጎረቤቱ ከሆኑት አገሮችም ሁሉ ጋር በሰላም ይኖር ነበር፡፡For Solomon had dominion over everything west of the Euphrates—over all the kingdoms from Tiphsah to Gaza—and he had peace on all sides.

25በኖረበትም ዘመን ሁሉ ከዳር እስከ ቤርሳቤህ ድረስ መላው የይሁዳና የእስራኤል ሕዝብ ያለ ስጋት በሰላም ይኖር ነበር፤ እያንዳንዱ ቤተ ሰብ ለራሱ የሆነ የወይን ተክልና የበለስ ዛፍ ስለ ነበረው በእነዚህ ተክሎች ጥላ ሥር ያርፍ ነበር፡፡Throughout the days of Solomon, Judah and Israel dwelt securely from Dan to Beersheba, each man under his own vine and his own fig tree.

26ሰሎሞን ሠረገላ የሚስቡ አርባ ሺህ ፈረሶች፣ ለጦርነት የሚያገለግሉ ዐሥራ ሁለት ሺህ ፈረሶች ነበሩት፡፡Solomon had 4,000 stalls for his chariot horses and 12,000 horses.

27ለሰሎሞንና በቤተ መንግሥቱ ለሚቀለቡት ሁሉ የሚያስፈልገውን ምግብ የሚያቀርቡ ዐሥራ ሁለቱ ገዢዎች እያንዳንዳቸው በተመደበላቸው ወር ምንም ነገር ሳያጓድሉ በወቅቱ ያመጡ ነበር፡፡Each month the governors in turn provided food for King Solomon and all who came to his table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.

28ከዚህም በቀር እያንዳንዱ ገዢ እንደሚችለው ሌላም አገልግሎት ለሚያበረክቱ የጋማ ከብቶች ገብስና ገለባ ያቀርብ ነበር፡፡Each one also brought to the required place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and other horses.

29እግዚአብሔር ለሰሎሞን አጅግ አስደናቂ የሆነ ጥበብንና አስተተዋይነትን እንዲሁም እንደ ባሕር ዳር አሸዋ ወሰን የማይገኝለትን ዕውቀት ሰጠው፡፡And God gave Solomon wisdom, exceedingly deep insight, and understanding beyond measure, like the sand on the seashore.

30የሰሎሞንም ጥበብ ከምሥራቅ አገርና ከግብፅም ጥበበኞች እጅግ የላቀ ነበረ፡፡Solomon’s wisdom was greater than that of all the men of the East, greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.

31እርሱ ከሰዎች ሁሉ የሚበልጥ ታላቅ ጥበበኛ ነበረ፤ ከኢይዝራኤላዊው ኤታን፣ የማሖል ልጆች ከሆኑት ከሮማን ከካልኮልና ከዳርዓዕ የሚበልጥ ጥበበኛ ነበረ፤ ዝናውም ከፍ ብሎ በጎረቤት ሕዘቦች ሁሉ ዘንድ አስተጋባ፡፡He was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread throughout the surrounding nations.

32ሦስት ሺህ ምሳሌዎችንና አንድ ሺህ አምስት የመዝሙር ድርስቶች ነበሩት፡፡Solomon composed three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered a thousand and five.

33ሰሎሞን ከሊባኖስ ዛፍ ጀምሮ በቤት ግንብ ላይ እስከሚበቅለው ሂሶጵ ድረስ ስለ ዛፎችና ስለ ተክሎች ምሳሌዎችን ተናግሮአል፤ እንዲሁም ስለ ልዩ ልዩ እንስሶች፣ ወፎች፣ በሆዳቸው እየተሳቡ ስለሚሄዱ ፍጥረቶችና ስለዓሣዎች አስተምሮአል፡፡He spoke of trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing in the wall, and he taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.

34በመላው ዓለም የሚገኙ ነገሥታት ስለ ሰሎሞን ጥበብ ለመስማት ይመጡ ነበር፡፡ ስለ ጥበቡም የሰሙት ከምድር ነገሥታት ሁሉ ወደ እርሱ መጥተዋል፡፡So men of all nations came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
