1. 1ULBየእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ በዖዴድ ልጅ በዓዛርያስ ላይ መጣ፡፡BSBBSB: Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded.
2. 2ULBአሳንም ሊገናኘው ወጣ፤ እንዲህም አለው፦ "አሳ፥ ይሁዳ ሁሉና ቢኒያም ሆይ ስሙኝ፤ እናንተ ከእግዚአብሔር ጋር ስትሆኑ እርሱ ከእናንተ ጋር ይሆናል፡፡ ብትፈልጉትም ይገኝላችኋል፤ ብትተዉት ግን ይተዋችኋል፡፡BSBBSB: So he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
3. 3ULBእስራኤል ለረጅም ጊዜ ያለ እውነተኛ አምላክ፥ ያለ አስተማሪ ካህን እና ያለ ሕግ ይኖሩ ነበር፡፡BSBBSB: For many years Israel has been without the true God, without a priest to instruct them, and without the law.
4. 4ULBበጭንቃቸው ጊዜ ግን ወደ እስራኤል አምላክ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ተመልሰው ሲፈልጉት ይገኝላቸው ነበር፡፡BSBBSB: But in their distress they turned to the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought Him, and He was found by them.
5. 5ULBበዚያን ዘመን ርቆ ለሚሄደውና ወደዚህ ቅርብ ለሚመጣው ሰላም አልነበረም፤ ይልቁንም በምድሪቱ በሚኖሩ ሁሉ ላይ ታላቅ ጭንቅ ነበር፡፡BSBBSB: In those days there was no safety for travelers, because the residents of the lands had many conflicts.
6. 6ULBእግዚአብሔር በሁሉም ዓይነት መከራዎች ያስጨንቃቸው ስለነበር ፍርስርሳቸው ወጥቶ ነበር፤ ህዝብ ከህዝብ ጋር፥ ከተማም ከከተማ ጋር ይዋጋ ነበር፡፡BSBBSB: Nation was crushed by nation, and city by city, for God afflicted them with all kinds of adversity.
7. 7ULBእናንተ ግን ሥራችሁ ብድራት ስለአለው በርቱ እጃችሁም እንዲደክም አትፍቀዱ፡፡"BSBBSB: But as for you, be strong; do not be discouraged, for your work will be rewarded.”
8. 8ULBይህንን ቃል፥ የነቢዩን የዖዴድን ትንቢት በሰማ ጊዜ ብርታት አግኝቶ ከይሁዳና ከቢኒያም ምድር ሁሉ፥ ከተራራማው የኤፍሬም አገር ከያዛቸው ከተሞች ጸያፉን ነገር አስወገደ፤ በእግዚአብሔርም ቤት መተላለፊያ ፊት ለፊት የነበረውን የእግዚአብሔር መሠዊያ እንደገና ሠራ፡፡BSBBSB: When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Azariah son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He then restored the altar of the LORD that was in front of the portico of the LORD’s temple.
9. 9ULBይሁዳንና ቢኒያምን ሁሉ፥ ከኤፍሬምና ከምናሴም ከስምዖንም ወገን የሆኑትን ከእርሱም ጋር የዘለቁትን ሰበሰበ፡፡ እግዚአብሔር አምላኩ ከእርሱ ጋር እንደነበር ሲያዩ ከእስራኤል ከፍተኛ ቁጥር ያላቸው ሰዎች ወደ እርሱ መጡ፡፡BSBBSB: And he assembled all Judah and Benjamin, along with those from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them, for great numbers had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
10. 10ULBበመሆኑም አሳ በነገሠ በአስራ አምስተኛው ዓመት በሦስተኛው ወር በኢየሩሳሌም በአንድ ላይ ተሰበሰቡ፡፡BSBBSB: So they gathered together in Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.
11. 11ULBበዚያም ቀን ካመጡት ምርኮ የተወሰነውን ሰባት መቶ በሬዎችና ሰባት ሺህ በጎችና ፍየሎች ለእግዚአብሔር ሠዉ፡፡BSBBSB: At that time they sacrificed to the LORD seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep from all the plunder they had brought back.
12. 12ULBየአባቶቻቸውን አምላክ እግዚአብሔርን በሙሉ ልባቸውና በሙሉ ነፍሳቸው ሊፈልጉት ቃል ኪዳን አደረጉ፡፡BSBBSB: Then they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul.
13. 13ULBየእስራኤልን አምላክ እግዚአብሔርን የማይፈልግ ማንም ቢኖር ሰውየው ታናሽ ይሁን ታላቅ፥ ወንድ ወይም ሴት ሊገደል እንደሚገባው ተስማሙ፡፡BSBBSB: And whoever would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, would be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.
14. 14ULBበታላቅ ድምጽና በጩኸት፥ በእምቢልታና በቀንደ መለከት ለእግዚአብሔር ማሉ፡፡BSBBSB: They took an oath to the LORD with a loud voice, with shouting, trumpets, and rams’ horns.
15. 15ULBበሙሉ ልባቸው መሐላውን ስለፈጸሙ፥ እግዚአብሔርንም በሙሉ ፍላጎታቸው ስለፈለጉት እርሱም ተገኝቶላቸው ስለነበር ይሁዳ ሁሉ በመሐላው ደስ አላቸው፡፡ እግዚአብሔር በዙሪያቸው ሁሉ ሰላምን ሰጣቸው፡፡BSBBSB: And all Judah rejoiced over the oath, for they had sworn it with all their heart. They had sought Him earnestly, and He was found by them. So the LORD gave them rest on every side.
16. 16ULBንጉሡም አሳ ሴት አያቱ መዓካ ከማምለኪያ አጸድ አስጸያፊ ምስል/ጣኦት ስላበጀች ከንግሥትነትዋ አስወገዳት፡፡ አሳም አስጸያፊ ምስሏን/ጣኦቷን ቆርጦ አቧራ አድርጎ ፈጨው፤ በቄድሮንም ወንዝ አጠገብ አቃጠለው፡፡BSBBSB: King Asa also removed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother because she had made a detestable Asherah pole. Asa chopped down the pole, crushed it, and burned it in the Kidron Valley.
17. 17ULBመስገጃዎቹ ግን ከእስራኤል አልራቁም ነበር፡፡ ይሁን እንጂ የአሳ ልብ በዘመኑ ሁሉ ፍጹም ታማኝና ታዛዥ ነበር፡፡BSBBSB: The high places were not removed from Israel, but Asa’s heart was fully devoted all his days.
18. 18ULBየእግዚአብሔር የሆኑትን የአባቱን ነገሮችና የገዛ ራሱን ነገሮች፥ የብርና የወርቅ ዕቃዎች ወደ እግዚአብሔር ቤት ውስጥ አስገባቸው፡፡BSBBSB: And he brought into the house of God the silver and gold and the articles that he and his father had dedicated.
19. 19ULBአሳም እስከነገሠበት እስከ ሠላሳ አምስተኛው ዓመት ድረስ ከዚያ ወዲያ ጦርነት አልነበረም፡፡BSBBSB: And there was no war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
