1 ULB ነገር ግን ይህን እወቅ፣ በመጨረሻዎቹ ቀናት አደገኛ ዘመን ይመጣል፡፡ BSB BSB: But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come.
2 ULB ሰዎች ራሳቸውን የሚወዱ ይሆናሉ፣ ገንዘብን የሚወዱ፣ ትእቢተኞች፣ ትምክህተኞቸ፣ በእግዚአብሔር ላይ የስድብን ቃል የሚናገሩ፣ ለወላጆቻቸው የማይታዘዙ፣ የማያመሰግኑ፣ ቅድስና የሌላቸው፣ BSB BSB: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 ULB ተፈጥሮአዊ ፍቅር የሌላቸው፣ ሰላምን የማይፈጥሩ፣ ሐሜተኞች፣ ራሳቸውን የማይገዙ፣ አመጸኞች፣ መልካም የሆነውን የማይወዱ፣ BSB BSB: unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,
4 ULB ከዳተኞች፣ ምክርን የማይሰሙ፣ በትእቢት የተነፉ፣ ከእግዚአብሔር ይልቅ ተድላን የሚወዱ ይሆናሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
6 ULB ከእነዚህም አንዳንዶች በቤተ ሰብ ውስጥ ሾልከው እየገቡ በኃጢአት የሚገረሙትንና በልዩ ልዩ ምኞትም የሚነዱትን ሞኞችን ሴቶች ይማርካሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: They are the kind who worm their way into households and captivate vulnerable women who are weighed down with sins and led astray by various passions,
7 ULB እነዚህ ሴቶች ሁል ጊዜ አዳዲስ ነገሮችን ለመማር ይሞክራሉ፣ ነገር ግን ፈጽሞ ወደ እውነት እውቀት ሊደርሱ አይችሉም፡፡ BSB BSB: who are always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
8 ULB ኢያኔስ እና ኢያንበሬስ ሙሴን እንደተቃወሙት፣ እነዚህ የስህተት አስተማሪዎች እውነትን ይቃወማሉ፡፡ እነዚህ ሰዎች አዕምሮአቸው የተበላሸባቸው፣ የእምነታቸውም እውነተኝነት ያልተረጋገጠ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith.
9 ULB ዳሩ ግን የእነዚያ የሁለቱ ሰዎች ሞኝነት እንደተጋለጠ፣ እነዚህም ሞኝነታቸው ይገለጣልና አይሳካላቸውም፡፡ BSB BSB: But they will not advance much further. For just like Jannes and Jambres, their folly will be plain to everyone.
10 ULB አንተ ግን ትምህርቴን፣ አካሄዴን፣ ዓላማዬን፣ እምነቴን፣ መጽናቴን፣ ፍቅሬን፣ ትእግስቴን፣ BSB BSB: You, however, have observed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my perseverance,
11 ULB ስደቴን፣ መከራዬን፣ በአንጾኪያ፣ በኢቆንዮን እና በልስጥራን የደረሰብኝን ሁሉ ተከትለሃል፡፡ ይህን ሁሉ ስደት በጽናት አልፌዋለሁ፣ ጌታም ከሁሉ አዳነኝ፡፡ BSB BSB: my persecutions, and the sufferings that came upon me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.
12 ULB በክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ እግዚአብሔር እንደሚወደው ሊኖሩ የሚፈልጉ ሁሉ ይሰደዳሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
13 ULB ከፉ ሰዎች እና አታላዮች በክፋት እየባሱ ሌሎችንም እያሳቱና ራሳቸውም ችየሳቱ ይሄዳሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 ULB አንተ ግን በተማርህበትና በምታምንበት ነገር ጸንተህ ኑር፣ ከማን እንደተማርከው ታውቃለህና፡፡ BSB BSB: But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them.
15 ULB ከሕፃንነትህ ጀምሮ በክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ በማመን ስለሚገኘው መዳን ጥበብ ሊሰጡህ ስለሚችሉት ቅዱሳት መጻሕፍት አውቀሃል፡፡ BSB BSB: From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
17 ULB በመሆኑም የእግዚአብሔር ሰው ለመልካም ሥራ የተዘጋጀ እና የታጠቀ እንዲሆን ያደርጉታል፡፡ BSB BSB: so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
