1 ULB እግዚአብሔር ከክርስቶስ ጋር ከሞት ካስነሣችሁ፤ክርስቶስ በእግዚአብሔር ቀኝ ተቀምጦ ባለበት በላይ ያሉትን ነገሮች እሹ። BSB BSB: Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 ULB በላይ ስላሉት ነገሮች እንጂ በምድር ስላሉት ነገሮች አታስቡ። BSB BSB: Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 ULB ምክንያቱም ሞታችኋል፤ ሕይወታችሁንም እግዚአብሔር በክርስቶስ ውስጥ ሰውሮታልና። BSB BSB: For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 ULB ሕይወታችሁ የሆነ ክርስቶስ በሚገለጥበት ጊዜ እናንተም ከእርሱ ጋር በክብር ትገለጣላችሁ። BSB BSB: When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 ULB ስለዚህ ምድራዊ ምኞቶቻችሁን ግደሉ፦ እነርሱም፦ ዝሙት፣ ርኩሰት፣ ፍትወት፣ ክፉ ምኞት፣ ስግብግብነትና ጣዖትን ማምለክ ናቸው። BSB BSB: Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
6 ULB በእነዚህም ነገሮች ምክንያት በማይታዘዙ ልጆች ላይ የእግዚአብሔር ቁጣ ይመጣባቸዋል። BSB BSB: Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 ULB እናንተም ራሳችሁ ከዚህ በፊት በማይታዘዙ ሰዎች መካከል ሳላችሁ እነዚህን ነገሮች እያደረጋችሁ ትመላለሱ ነበር። BSB BSB: When you lived among them, you also used to walk in these ways.
8 ULB አሁን ግን ቁጣን፤ ንዴትን፤ ተንኮልን፤ ስም ማጥፋትን ከእናንተ አስወግዱ፤ የሚያሳፍር ንግግርም ከአፋችሁ አይውጣ። BSB BSB: But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
9 ULB አሮጌውን ሰው ከሥራው ጋር አውልቃችሁ ስለ ጣላችሁ፣ አንዳችሁ በሌላው ላይ አትዋሹ። BSB BSB: Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices,
10 ULB የፈጠረውንም ምሳሌ እንዲመስል ዕውቀትን ለማግኘት የሚታደሰውን አዲሱን ሰው ለብሳችሁታል። BSB BSB: and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
12 ULB ስለዚህ እንደ እግዚአብሔር ምርጦች ቅዱሳንና የተወደዳችሁ ሆናችሁ ርኅራኄን፣ ቸርነትን፣ ትሕትናን፣ ገርነትን፣ ትዕግሥትን ልበሱ። BSB BSB: Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13 ULB እርስ በርሳችሁ ታገሱ፤ እርስ በርሳችሁም ቸሮች ሆኑ። ከእናንተ አንዱ በሌላው ላይ ቅርታ ቢኖረው፣ ክርስቶስ ይቅር እንዳላችሁ ይቅር ተባባሉ። BSB BSB: Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
14 ULB በዚህ ሁሉ ላይ የፍጻሜ ማሰሪያ የሆነው ፍቅር ይኑራችሁ። BSB BSB: And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.
15 ULB የአንድ አካል ክፍሎች ሆናችሁ የተጠራችሁት ለዚህ ሰላም ስለ ሆነ የክርስቶስ ሰላም በልባችሁ ይንገሥ፤ የምታመሰግኑም ሁኑ። BSB BSB: Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.
16 ULB የክርስቶስ ቃል በሙላት ይኑርባችሁ። በጥበብ ሁሉ እርስ በርሳችሁ ተማማሩ፤ ተመካከሩ፤በመዝሙርና በውዳሴ፤ በመንፈሳዊ ዜማም እግዚአብሔርን ከልብ እያመሰገናችሁ ዘምሩ። BSB BSB: Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 ULB በእርሱ እግዚአብሔር አብን እያመሰገናችሁ በቃልም ሆነ በሥራ የምታደርጉትን ሁሉ በጌታ በኢየሱስ ስም አድርጉት። BSB BSB: And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
18 ULB ሚስቶች ሆይ፥ ለጌታ እንደሚገባ ለባሎቻችሁ ታዘዙ። BSB BSB: Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 ULB ባሎች ሆይ፥ ሚስቶቻችሁን ውደዱ መራራም አትሁኑባቸው። BSB BSB: Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 ULB ልጆች ሆይ፥ ይህ ጌታን ደስ የሚያሰኝ በመሆኑ ለወላጆቻችሁ በሁሉ ነገር ታዘዙ። BSB BSB: Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
21 ULB አባቶች ሆይ፥ልጆቻችሁ ተስፋ እንዳይቆርጡ አታስመርሩአቸው። BSB BSB: Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become discouraged.
22 ULB አገልጋዮች ሆይ፥ ሰውን ለማስደሰትና ለታይታ ሳይሆን በቅን ልብ ጌታን በመፍራት ለምድራዊ ጌቶቻችሁ በሁሉ ነገር ታዘዙ። BSB BSB: Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only to please them while they are watching, but with sincerity of heart and fear of the Lord.
23 ULB የምታደርጉትን ሁሉ ለሰው እንደምታደርጉ ሳይሆን ለጌታ እንደምታደርጉ በሙሉ ልባችሁ አድርጉት። BSB BSB: Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men,
24 ULB ከጌታ ዘንድ እንደ ዋጋ የምትቀበሉት ርስት እንዳለ ታውቃላችሁና። BSB BSB: because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
25 ULB በዚህም የምታገለግሉት ጌታ ክርስቶስን ነው። በእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ አድልዎ ስለሌለ ክፉ የሚሠራ ማንም ስለ ክፉ ሥራው ቅጣቱን ይቀበላል። BSB BSB: Whoever does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.
