1 ULB የሰው ልጅ ሆይ ያገኘኽውን ብላ ይህን የመጽሀፍ ጥቅል ብላ ሄደህም ለእስራኤል ህዝብ ተናገር። BSB BSB: “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”
2 ULB አፌንም ከፈትኩ የመጽሀፉን ጥቅል አጎረሰኝና BSB BSB: So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.
3 ULB "የሰው ልጅ ሆይ በሰጠሁህ በዚህ የመጽሀፍ ጥቅል ሆድህን ሙላ" አለኝ። እኔም በላሁት እንደማርም ጣፈጠኝ። BSB BSB: “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
4 ULB ከዚያም "የሰው ልጅ ሆይ ወደ እስራኤል ህዝብ ሄደህ ቃሌን ንገራቸው" አለኝ። BSB BSB: Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.
5 ULB ምክንያቱም የተላከው ቋንቋቸው ወደማይታወቅ ወይም አስቸጋሪ ወደሆን ህዝብ አይደለም፦ BSB BSB: For you are not being sent to a people of unfamiliar speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel—
6 ULB እንግዳ ቋንቋ ወደሚናገር ታላቅ ህዝብ ወይም የቋንቋቸውን ቃላት መረዳት ወደሚያስቸግር ህዝብ አላኩህም። ወደዚህ ዓይነት ህዝብ ብልክህ ኖሮ ይሰሙህ ነበር። ነገር ግን የእስራኤል ህዝብ እኔን መስማት ስለማይፈልጉ አይሰሙህም። BSB BSB: not to the many peoples of unfamiliar speech and difficult language whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
7 ULB የእስራኤል ህዝብ ሁሉ ግንባረ ጠንካራና አንገተ ደንዳና ናቸው። BSB BSB: But the house of Israel will be unwilling to listen to you, since they are unwilling to listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted.
8 ULB እነሆ! ፊትህን እንድፊታቸው ግንባርህንም እንደግንባራቸው ጠንካራ አደርገዋለሁ። BSB BSB: Behold, I will make your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.
9 ULB ግንባርህን ከባልጩት ድንጋይ ይልቅ እንደሚጠነክር እንደ አልማዝ አድርጌዋለ! ስለዚህ የእሴራኤል ህዝብ አመጸኞች ስለሆኑ አትፍራቸው ፊታቸውንም አይተህ አትደንግጥ። BSB BSB: I will make your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a rebellious house.”
10 ULB ቀጥሎሜ እንዲህ አለኝ "የሰው ልጅ ሆይ የነገርኩህን ቃል ስማ በልብህም ተቀበለው። BSB BSB: “Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart.
11 ULB ከዚያም በምርኮ ወዳሉት ህዝብህ ሂድና ቢሰሙህም ባይሰሙህም 'እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል' በላቸው።" BSB BSB: Go to your people, the exiles; speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they listen or refuse to listen.”
12 ULB መንፈስም ከምድር ከፍ አደረግኝ ከኋላዬም የእግዚአብሔር ክብር በማደሪያው ይባረክ የሚል እንደ ምድር መናወጥ ዓይነት ድምጽ ሰማሁ። BSB BSB: Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me: “Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!”
13 ULB ወዲያውም የህያው ፍጥርታቱ ክንፎች ሲነካካ የሚፈጠረውን ድምጽ፣ አብረዋቸው ያሉትን መንኮራኩሮች ድምጽ፥ እና የምድር መናወጥ ድምጽ ሰማሁ። BSB BSB: It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, a great rumbling sound.
14 ULB መንፈስም አንስቶ ወሰደኝ፤ የእግዚአብሔርም እጅ በእኔ ላይ ከብዶ ስለነበር የምሄደው በምሬትና በጋለ መንፈስ ነበር። BSB BSB: So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
15 ULB ከዚያም በኬብሮን ወንዝ አጠገብ ወደሚኖሩት በቴላቢብ ወደሚገኙት ምርኮኞች ሄጄ በድንጋጤና በመደነቅ ተሞልቼ በመካከላቸው ሰባት ቀን ተቀመጥኩ። BSB BSB: I came to the exiles at Tel-abib who dwelt by the River Kebar. And for seven days I sat where they sat and remained there among them, overwhelmed.
16 ULB ከስባት ቀንም በኋላ እንዲህ ሆነ፥ BSB BSB: At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
17 ULB "የሰው ልጅ ሆይ አንተን ለእስራኤል ህዝብ እንደጠባቂ አድርጌሀለሁ፥ ስለዚህ የአፌን ቃል ስማና የእኔን ማስጠንቀቂያ ንገራቸው! BSB BSB: “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.
18 ULB ኃጢአተኛውን 'በእርግጥ ትሞታለህ' ብለህ ንገረው ብዬህ አንተ ግን ባትነግረው ከክፉ መንገዱም እንዲመለስ ባታስጠነቅቀው እርሱ በኃጢአቱ ይሞታል ደሙን ግን ከእጅህ እፈልጋለሁ። BSB BSB: If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood.
19 ULB ነገር ግን ኃጢአተኛውን ብታስጠነቅቀው እርሱ ግን ከክፋቱና ከመጥፎ ተግባሩ ባይመለስ በኃጢአቱ ይሞታል አንተም ነፍስህን ታድናለህ።" ብሎ እግዚአብሔር ሲናገረኝ ሰማሁ። BSB BSB: But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.
20 ULB ደግሞም አንድ ጻድቅ ሰው ጽድቅ ማድረግን ቢተው እኔም በፊቱ መሰናክል ሳስቀምጥ እርሱ በኃጢአቱ ይሞታል። አንተ ስላላስጠነቀከው እርሱ በኃጢአቱ ይሞታል፣ ቀድሞ የሰራውንም የጽድቅ ስራ አላስብለትም፣ ነገር ግን አንተን የሞቱ ተጠያቂ አደርግሀለሁ። BSB BSB: Now if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die in his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. And I will hold you responsible for his blood.
21 ULB ነገር ግን አንድ ጻድቅ ሰው ኃጢአት መስራቱን እንዲያቆም ብታስጠነቅቀው ከማስጠንቀቂያው የተነሳ በእርግጥኝነት በህይወት ይኖራል፣ አንተም የራስህን ህይወት ታድናለህ።" BSB BSB: But if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he heeded your warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
22 ULB ደግሞም የእግዚአብሔር እጅ በላዬ መጣ፣ እግዚአብሔርም፣ "ተነሳ! ወደ ሜዳማው ቦታ ሂድ፣ በዚያ የምነግርህ ነገር አለ" አለኝ። BSB BSB: And there the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He said to me, “Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you.”
23 ULB እኔም ተነስቼ ወደ ሜዳማው ቦታ ሄድኩ፥ በዚያም በኬብሮን ወንዝ አጠገብ ያየሁት ዓይነት የእግዚአብሔር ክብር ነበረ፣ ስለዚህም በግንባሬ ተደፋሁ። BSB BSB: So I got up and went out to the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD was present there, like the glory I had seen by the River Kebar, and I fell facedown.
24 ULB የእግዚአብሔርም መንፈስ መጥቶ በእግሮቼ አቆመኝና እንዲህ ሲል ተናገረኝ "ወደ ቤትህ ሂድና በር ዘግተህ ተቀመጥ፣ BSB BSB: Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me and said, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.
25 ULB ምክንያቱም አሁን የሰው ልጅ ሆይ በመካከላቸው እንዳትንቀሳቀስ በገመድ ያስሩሀል። BSB BSB: And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes, and you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
26 ULB አመጸኛ ህዝብ ስለሆኑ እንዳትገስፃቸው እኔ ምላስህን ከላንቃህ ጋር አጣብቀዋለሁ አንተም ዲዳ ትሆናለህ። BSB BSB: I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, and you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
27 ULB ነገር ግን እኔ ስናገርህ አፍህን እከፍታለሁ አንተም 'ጌታ እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል' ትላቸዋለህ፤ አመጸኛ ህዝብ ስለሆኑ የሚሰማ ይሰማሀል የማይሰማ አይሰማህም!" BSB BSB: But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you are to tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’ Whoever listens, let him listen; and whoever refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.
