1 ULB ኢዮብም ሲመል እንዲህ አለ፦ BSB BSB: Then Job answered:
2 ULB እንደዚህ ያለ ብዙ ነገር ሰምቻለሁ፤ ሁላችሁም የማትጠቅሙ አጽናኞች ናችሁ። BSB BSB: “I have heard many things like these; miserable comforters are you all.
3 ULB ከንቱ ቃሎች መጨረሻ የላቸውምን? እንደዚህ ለመመለስ የቻላችሁት ምን ነክቷችሁ ነው? BSB BSB: Is there no end to your long-winded speeches? What provokes you to continue testifying?
4 ULB እናንተ በእኔ ቦታ ብትሆኑ፤ እንደ እናንተ መናገር እችል ነበር፤ እኔም ቃላቶችን ሰብስቤ እያቀናበረሁ፥ በማሾፍም በእናንተ ላይ ራሴን መነቅነቅ እችል ነበር። BSB BSB: I could also speak like you if you were in my place; I could heap up words against you and shake my head at you.
5 ULB ኦ! በአፌም እንዴት አድርጌ ባበረታታኋችሁ！ የከንፈሬም ማጽናናት እንዴት ሃዘናችሁን ባቀለለ ነበር！ BSB BSB: But I would encourage you with my mouth, and the consolation of my lips would bring relief.
6 ULB ብናገር ሰቆቃዬ አይቀንስም፤ ከመናገር ዝም ብል እንዴት እገዛ ላገኝ እችላለሁ። BSB BSB: Even if I speak, my pain is not relieved, and if I hold back, how will it go away?
7 ULB አሁን ግን እግዚአብሔር አድክመኸኛል፤ ቤተሰቤን ሁሉ አፈራርሰሃል። BSB BSB: Surely He has now exhausted me; You have devastated all my family.
8 ULB አድርቀኸኛል ይኸውም በላዬ ይመሰክርብኛል፤ የሰውነቴም መጨማተር ምስክር ነው፤ ክሳቴም ተነሥቶ፤በፊቴ ላይ ይመሰክራል። BSB BSB: You have bound me, and it has become a witness; my frailty rises up and testifies against me.
9 ULB እግዚአብሔር በቍጣው ቀደደኝ፥ አሳደደኝም፤ ጥርሶቹንም አፋጨብኝ፤ ይህም ሲሆን ጠላቴ ዓይኑን አፈጠጠብኝ፤ BSB BSB: His anger has torn me and opposed me; He gnashes His teeth at me. My adversary pierces me with His eyes.
10 ULB ሰዎችም በግርምት አፋቸውን ከፈቱ፤ እያላገጡም ጕንጬን ጠፈጠፉኝ፤ በአንድነትም በእኔ ላይ ተሰበሰቡ። BSB BSB: They open their mouths against me and strike my cheeks with contempt; they join together against me.
11 ULB እግዚአብሔር አመጸኛ ሰዎች አሳልፎ ሰጠኝ፥ በክፉዎችም እጅ ጣለኝ። BSB BSB: God has delivered me to unjust men; He has thrown me to the clutches of the wicked.
12 ULB በሰላም ተቀምጬ ነበር፥ እርሱም ሰባበረኝ፤ በርግጥም አንገቴን ይዞ አደቀቀኝ፤ ኢላማው አድርጎም አቆመኝ። BSB BSB: I was at ease, but He shattered me; He seized me by the neck and crushed me. He has set me up as His target;
13 ULB ቀስተኞቹ ከበቡኝ፤ ኵላሊቶቼንም ወጋቸው፥ አላስተረፈኝምም፤ ሐሞቴንም በምድር ላይ አፈሰሰ። BSB BSB: His archers surround me. He pierces my kidneys without mercy and spills my gall on the ground.
14 ULB ከግድግዳዬም ጋር ደጋግሞ አጋጨኝ፤ እንደ ጦረኛ በላዬ ሮጠብኝ። BSB BSB: He breaks me with wound upon wound; He rushes me like a mighty warrior.
15 ULB በሰውነቴ ላይ ማቅ ሰፋሁ፥ ቀንዴንም በመሬት ላይ ጣልሁት። BSB BSB: I have sewn sackcloth over my skin; I have buried my horn in the dust.
16 ULB ፊቴ ከልቅሶ የተነሣ ቀላ፤ በዓይኖቼ ቆብ ላይም የሞት ጥላ አለ፤ BSB BSB: My face is red with weeping, and deep shadows ring my eyes;
17 ULB ቢሆንም ግን በእጄ ዓመፅ የለም፤ ጸሎቴም ንጹሕ ነው። BSB BSB: yet my hands are free of violence and my prayer is pure.
18 ULB ምድር ሆይ፥ ደሜን አትሸፍኚ፥ ለቅሶዬም ማረፊያ ቦታ አይኑረው። BSB BSB: O earth, do not cover my blood; may my cry for help never be laid to rest.
19 ULB አሁንም ቢሆን፥ ምስክሬ በሰማይ አለ፥ ለእኔም የሚሟገትልኝ በአርያም ነው። BSB BSB: Even now my witness is in heaven, and my advocate is on high.
20 ULB ጓደኞቼ ተሳለቁብኝ ነገር ግን አይኖቼ በእግዚአብሔር ፊት እንባን ያፈሳሉ። BSB BSB: My friends are my scoffers as my eyes pour out tears to God.
21 ULB የሰው ልጅ ከባልንጀራው ጋር እንደሚምዋገት፥ ያ በሰማይ ያለው ምስክሬ በእግዚአብሔር ፊት እንዲምዋገትልኝ እጠይቃለሁ! BSB BSB: Oh, that a man might plead with God as he pleads with his neighbor!
22 ULB ምክንያቱም ጥቂት ዓመታት ካለፉ በኋላ እኔም ወደማልመለስበት ስፍራ እሄዳለሁ። BSB BSB: For when only a few years are past I will go the way of no return.
