1 ULB ኢዮብም ሲመልስ እንዲህ አለ፦ BSB BSB: Then Job answered:
2 ULB በቃላቶቻችሁ የምታሰቃዩኝና፥ የምትሰባብሩኝ እስከ መቼ ነው? BSB BSB: “How long will you torment me and crush me with your words?
3 ULB አሥር ጊዜ ዘለፋችሁኝ፤ በጭካኔ ስትበድሉኝም አላፈራችሁም። BSB BSB: Ten times now you have reproached me; you shamelessly mistreat me.
4 ULB በርግጥ ተሳስቼ ቢሆን እንኳ፥ ስሕተቱ የእኔ ጉዳይ ይሆናል። BSB BSB: Even if I have truly gone astray, my error concerns me alone.
5 ULB በእርግጥ ራሳችሁን በላዬ ከፍ ብታደርጉ፥ እኔንም እንደተላላፊ ለሁሉ ብታስቆጥሩኝም፥ BSB BSB: If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and use my disgrace against me,
6 ULB ግን ደግሞ እግዚአብሔር እንደ በደለኝ፥ በመረቡም እንደ ያዘኝ ማወቅ ነበረባችሁ። BSB BSB: then understand that it is God who has wronged me and drawn His net around me.
7 ULB ስለ መበደሌ ልናገር ብጮኽም አልሰማም፤ እርዳታ ለማግኝት ብጠራም ፍትህ የለም። BSB BSB: Though I cry out, ‘Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.
8 ULB እንዳላልፍ መንገዴን አጥሮታል፥ በመንገዴም ላይ ጨለማ አኑሮበታል። BSB BSB: He has blocked my way so I cannot pass; He has veiled my paths with darkness.
9 ULB ክብሬን ከላዬ ገፈፈ፥ ዘውዴንም ከራሴ ላይ አነሳ። BSB BSB: He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.
10 ULB እስክጠፋ ድረስ፥ በየአቅጣጫው ሰበረኝ፤ ተስፋዬንም እንደ ዛፍ ነቀለው፤ BSB BSB: He tears me down on every side until I am gone; He uproots my hope like a tree.
11 ULB ቍጣውንም በላዬ አነደደው፥ ከጠላቶቹም እንደ አንዱ አድርጎ ቈጠረኝ። BSB BSB: His anger burns against me, and He counts me among His enemies.
12 ULB ሠራዊቱ በአንድነት መጡብኝ፥ መወጣጫም በእኔ ላይ አዘጋጁ፥ በድንኳኔም ዙሪያ ሰፈሩ። BSB BSB: His troops advance together; they construct a ramp against me and encamp around my tent.
13 ULB ወንድሞቼን ከእኔ አራቃቸው፥ የሚያውቁኝም ፈጽመው ተለዩኝ። BSB BSB: He has removed my brothers from me; my acquaintances have abandoned me.
14 ULB ዘመዶቼ ተዉኝ፥ የቅርብ ጓደኞቼም ረሱኝ። BSB BSB: My kinsmen have failed me, and my friends have forgotten me.
15 ULB አንድ ወቅት በቤቴ በእንግድነት የተቀመጡ፥ ሴቶች ሰራተኞቼም እንደ መጻተኛ ቈጠሩኝ፤ በፊታቸውም እንደ ባዕድ ሆንሁ። BSB BSB: My guests and maidservants count me as a stranger; I am a foreigner in their sight.
16 ULB አገልጋዬን ተጣራሁ፥ በአፌም ለመንሁት ነገር ግን መልስ አልሰጠኝም። BSB BSB: I call for my servant, but he does not answer, though I implore him with my own mouth.
17 ULB ትንፋሼም ለሚስቴ የሚያስጠላት ሆነ፥ ልመናዬም በገዛ ወንድሞቼና እህቶቼ ተጠላ። BSB BSB: My breath is repulsive to my wife, and I am loathsome to my own family.
18 ULB ሕፃናቶች እንኳ አንቋሸሹኝ፤ ለመናገር ብነሣም መልሰው ይናገሩኛል። BSB BSB: Even little boys scorn me; when I appear, they deride me.
19 ULB የሚያማክሩኝ ጓደኞቼ ሁሉ ተጸየፉኝ፤ የምወድዳቸው በእኔ ላይ ተነሱ። BSB BSB: All my best friends despise me, and those I love have turned against me.
20 ULB አጥንቴ ከሥጋዬና ከቆዳዬ ጋር ተጣበቀ በድድ ብቻ ቀርቶልኝ አመለጥሁ። BSB BSB: My skin and flesh cling to my bones; I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
21 ULB ጓደኞቼ ሆይ፥ እዘኑልኝ የእግዚአብሔር እጅ መትታኛለችና እዘኑልኝ። BSB BSB: Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me.
22 ULB እግዚአብሔር እንደሆናችሁ ያክል ለምን ታሳድዱኛላችሁ? ሥጋዬን ማጥፋታችሁ ስለ ምን አይበቃችሁም? BSB BSB: Why do you persecute me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh?
23 ULB ኦ ምነው ቃሎቼ ቢጻፍ! ምነው በመጽሐፍ ቢታተሙ! BSB BSB: I wish that my words were recorded and inscribed in a book,
24 ULB ምነው በብረት ብዕርና በእርሳስ ተጽፎ፥ በዓለት ላይ ለዘላለም ቢቀረጽ! BSB BSB: by an iron stylus on lead, or chiseled in stone forever.
25 ULB እኔ ግን የሚቤዠኝ ሕያው እንደ ሆነ፥ በመጨረሻም በምድር ላይ እንዲቆም አውቃለሁ፥ BSB BSB: But I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will stand upon the earth.
26 ULB ይህ ቆዳዬ ማለትም ሰውነቴ ከጠፋ በኋላ፥ በአካሌ እግዚአብሔርን እንዳይ አውቃለሁ። BSB BSB: Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.
27 ULB አየዋለሁ፥ እኔ ራሴ በአጠገቤ አየዋለሁ፥ ዓይኖቼ ይመለከቱታል፥ እንግዳም አይሆንብኝም። ልቤ በመናፈቅ ዝሎአል። BSB BSB: I will see Him for myself; my eyes will behold Him, and not as a stranger. How my heart yearns within me!
28 ULB “'እንዴት እናሳድደዋለን! የችግሩ ሥር በእርሱ ውስጥ ነው' ብትሉ፥ BSB BSB: If you say, ‘Let us persecute him, since the root of the matter lies with him,’
29 ULB ቍጣ የሰይፍን ቅጣት ያስከትላልና፣ ሰይፍን ፍሩ፤ ፍርድ እንዳለም ታውቃላችሁ።” BSB BSB: then you should fear the sword yourselves, because wrath brings punishment by the sword, so that you may know there is a judgment.”
