1 ULB በኮረብታማውም በኤፍሬም አገር አንድ ሰው ነበር፣ ስሙም ሚካ ይባላል፡፡ BSB BSB: Now a man named Micah from the hill country of Ephraim
2 ULB ለእናቱም እንዲህ አላት፣ “ከአንቺ ዘንድ ተወስዶ የነበረው 1, 100 ብር፣ የእርግማን ንግግር የተናገርሽበትና እኔም የሰማሁት እነሆ እዚህ አለ! ብሩ በእኔ ዘንድ አለ፡፡ እኔ ሰርቄዋለሁ!” እናቱም እንዲህ አለች፣ “ልጄ ሆይ፣ እግዚአብሔር ይባርክህ!” BSB BSB: said to his mother, “The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from you and about which I heard you utter a curse—I have the silver here with me; I took it.” Then his mother said, “Blessed be my son by the LORD!”
3 ULB እርሱም 1, 100 ብር ለእናቱ መለሰላት፣ እናቱም እንዲህ አለችው፣ “ስለ ልጄ የተቀረጸ የእንጨት ምስልና ቀልጦ የተሠራ ምስል ለማድረግ ይህን ብር ለእግዚአብሔር ለይቼዋለሁ፡፡ ስለዚህ አሁን፣ ለአንተ መልሼዋለሁ፡፡” BSB BSB: And when he had returned the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, she said, “I wholly dedicate the silver to the LORD for my son’s benefit, to make a graven image and a molten idol. Therefore I will now return it to you.”
4 ULB ለእናቱም ገንዘቡን በመለሰላት ጊዜ፣ እናቱ ሁለቱን መቶ ብር ወሰደችና የተቀረጸ የእንጨት ምስልና ቀልጦ የተሠራ ምስል አድርጎ ለሰራው ለብረት ሰራተኛ ሰጠችው፡፡ ያም በሚካ ቤት ተቀመጠ፡፡ BSB BSB: So he returned the silver to his mother, and she took two hundred shekels of silver and gave them to a silversmith, who made them into a graven image and a molten idol. And they were placed in the house of Micah.
5 ULB ሚካ የተባለውም ሰው የጣዖታት አምልኮ ቤት ነበረውና አንድ ኤፉድና ተራፊም ሰራ፣ ከልጆቹም አንዱ ካህን ሆኖ እንዲያገለግለው አደረገ፡፡ BSB BSB: Now this man Micah had a shrine, and he made an ephod and some household idols, and ordained one of his sons as his priest.
6 ULB በዚያን ዘመን በእስራኤል ዘንድ ንጉሥ አልነበረም፣ ሰውም ሁሉ በዓይኖቹ ፊት ትክክል መስሎ የታየውን ያደርግ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
7 ULB አሁን በቤተ ልሔም ይሁዳ ከይሁዳ ወገን የሆነ አንድ ሌዋዊ ወጣት ሰው ነበረ፡፡ እርሱም ተግባሩን ለመፈጸም በዚያም ይቀመጥ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: And there was a young Levite from Bethlehem in Judah who had been residing within the clan of Judah.
8 ULB ይህ ሰው የሚቀመጥበትን ስፍራ ለመፈለግ ቤተ ልሔም ይሁዳን ለቅቆ ሄደ፡፡ ሲጓዝም ወደ ኮረብታማው የኤፍሬም አገር ወደ ሚካ ቤት መጣ፡፡ BSB BSB: This man left the city of Bethlehem in Judah to settle where he could find a place. And as he traveled, he came to Micah’s house in the hill country of Ephraim.
9 ULB ሚካም ለእርሱ እንዲህ አለው፣ “ከወዴት መጣህ?” እርሱም እንዲህ አለው፣ “እኔ ከቤተ ልሔም ይሁዳ የመጣሁ ሌዋዊ ነኝ፣ የምኖርበትን ስፍራ ለማግኘት እየተጓዝሁ ነው፡፡” BSB BSB: “Where are you from?” Micah asked him. “I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah,” he replied, “and I am on my way to settle wherever I can find a place.”
10 ULB ሚካም እንዲህ አለው፣ “ከእኔ ጋር ተቀመጥ፣ ለእኔም አማካሪና ካህን ሁነኝ፡፡ እኔም በየዓመቱ አሥር ብር፣ እንደዚሁም ልብሶችንና ምግብህን እሰጥሃለሁ፡፡” ስለዚህ ሌዋዊው ወደ ቤቱ ገባ፡፡ BSB BSB: “Stay with me,” Micah said to him, “and be my father and priest, and I will give you ten shekels of silver per year, a suit of clothes, and your provisions.” So the Levite went in
11 ULB ሌዋዊውም ከሰውዮው ጋር ለመቀመጥ ፈቃደኛ ሆነ፣ ወጣቱም ሰው ለሚካ ከልጆቹ እንደ አንዱ ሆነለት፡፡ BSB BSB: and agreed to stay with him, and the young man became like a son to Micah.
12 ULB ሚካም ሌዋዊውን ለተቀደሰ ሃላፊነት ቀደሰው፣ ወጣቱም ሰው ካህኑ ሆነለት፣ በሚካም ቤት ነበረ፡፡ BSB BSB: Micah ordained the Levite, and the young man became his priest and lived in his house.
13 ULB ከዚያም ሚካ እንዲህ አለ፣ “አሁን እግዚአብሔር ለእኔ መልካም እንደሚሰራልኝ አውቄአለሁ፣ ምክንያቱም ይህ ሌዋዊ ካህን ሆኖልኛል፡፡” BSB BSB: Then Micah said, “Now I know that the LORD will be good to me, because a Levite has become my priest.”
