1 ULB ከዚያ ከዮሴፍ ልጅ ለምናሴ ነገድ የአፌር ወንድ ልጅ የገለአድ ወንድ ልጅ የማኪር ወንድ ልጅ የምናሴ ወንድ ልጅ የሰለጵዓድ ሴት ልጆች ወደ ሙሴ መጡ የሰለዓድ ሴት ልጆች ስሞች እነዚህ ነበሩ፡፡ ማህላህ፣ ኑዓ፣ ዔግላ፣ ሚልካና ቲርጳ፡፡ BSB BSB: Now the daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, belonged to the clans of Manasseh son of Joseph. These were the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. They approached
2 ULB እነርሱም በሙሴ፣ በካህኑ አልዓዛር፣ በመሪዋች፣ እና በመገናኛው ድንኳን ደጃፍ በመላው ማህበረሰቡ ፊት ቆሙ፡፡ እንዲህም አሉ፣ BSB BSB: the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders, and the whole congregation, and said,
3 ULB “አባታችን በምድረበዳው ሞተ፡፡ እርሱ በቆሬ አመጽ በያህዌ ፊት አምጸው በአንድነት ከተነሱት መሀል አልነበረም፡፡ የሞተው በራሱ ኃጢአት ነበር፣ አባታችን የሞተው በራሱ ኃጢአት ምክንያት ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: “Our father died in the wilderness, but he was not among the followers of Korah who gathered together against the LORD. Instead, he died because of his own sin, and he had no sons.
4 ULB ስለምን ወንድ ልጅ ስለሌለው የአባታችን ስም ከጎሳው አባላት ተለይቶ ይጠፋል? በአባታችን ቤተዘመዶች መሀል መሬት ስጠን፡፡” BSB BSB: Why should the name of our father disappear from his clan because he had no sons? Give us property among our father’s brothers.”
5 ULB ሙሴ ጉዳያቸውን ያህዌ ፊት አቀረበ፡፡ BSB BSB: So Moses brought their case before the LORD,
6 ULB ያህዌ ሙሴን እንዲህ ሲል ተናገረው፣ BSB BSB: and the LORD answered him,
7 ULB ”የሰለጰዓድ ሴት ልጆች የተናገሩት ትክክል ነው፡፡ በአባታቸው ዘመዶች መሃል በእርግጥ ርስት አድርገህ መሬት ስጣቸው፣ ደግሞም የአባታቸው ርስት ወደ እነርሱ መተላፉን አረጋግጥ፡፡ BSB BSB: “The daughters of Zelophehad speak correctly. You certainly must give them property as an inheritance among their father’s brothers and transfer their father’s inheritance to them.
8 ULB ለእስራኤል ሰዎች እንዲህ በላቸው፣ ‘አንድ ሰው ወንድ ልጅ ሳይኖው ቢሞት፣ ርስቱ ወደ ሴት ልጁ እንዲተላፍ አድርጉ፡፡ BSB BSB: Furthermore, you shall say to the Israelites, ‘If a man dies and leaves no son, you are to transfer his inheritance to his daughter.
9 ULB ሴት ልጅ ባይኖረው፣ ርስቱን ለወንድሞቹ ስጡ፡፡ BSB BSB: If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers.
10 ULB ወንድሞች ባይኖት፣ ርስቱን ለአባቱ ወንድሞች ስጡ፡፡ BSB BSB: If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
11 ULB አባቱ ወንድሞች ባይኖሩት ርስቱን በጎሳው ውስጥ ለቅርብ ዘመዱ ስጡ፣ ያም ሰው ይውሰደው፡፡ ይህም ያህዌ እንዳዘዘኝ፣ ለእስራኤል ህዝብ በአዋጅ የፀና ህግ ይሆናል፡፡’” BSB BSB: And if his father has no brothers, give his inheritance to the next of kin from his clan, that he may take possession of it. This is to be a statutory ordinance for the Israelites, as the LORD has commanded Moses.’”
12 ULB “ያህዌ ሙሴን እንዲህ አለው፣ “ወደ ዓባሪም ተራሮች ወጥተህ ለእስራኤል ህዝብ የሰጠሁትን ምድር ተመልከት፡፡ BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go up this mountain of the Abarim range and see the land that I have given the Israelites.
13 ULB ከተመለከትካት በኋላ፣ አንተም ደግሞ ወደ ሰዎችህ እንደ ወንድምህ አሮን ሁሉ ትሰበስባለህ፡፡ BSB BSB: After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was;
14 ULB ይህ ይሆናል፤ ምክንያቱም በጺን ምድረበዳ እናንተ ሁለታችሁ በትእዛዛቶቼ ላይ አምጻችኋል፡፡ በዚያ፣ ውሃው ከአለቱ ሲፈስስ በቁጣህ ምክንያት በመላው ማህበረሰብ ዐይኖች ፊት እኔን በቅድስና ማክበር አልቻልክም፡፡” ይህ በጺን ምድረበዳ በቃዴስ የሚገኝ የመሪባ ውሃ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: for when the congregation contended in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you rebelled against My command to show My holiness in their sight regarding the waters.” Those were the waters of Meribah in Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin.
15 ULB ከዚያ ሙሴ ለያህዌ እንዲህ አለ፣ BSB BSB: So Moses appealed to the LORD,
16 ULB “የሰዎች ሁሉ መንፈስ አምላክ ያህዌ ሆይ፣ በዚህ ማህበረሰብ ላይ መሪ የሚሆን ሰው ሹም፣ BSB BSB: “May the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation
17 ULB በፊታቸው የሚወጣና የሚገባ ሰው፣ እየመራ የሚያስወጣቸውና የሚያስገባቸው፣ ህዝብህ እረኛ እንደሌላቸው በጎች እንዳይሆን ሰው ሹምለት፡፡” BSB BSB: who will go out and come in before them, and who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the LORD will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”
18 ULB ያህዌ ሙሴን፣ “የእኔ መንፈስ የሚኖርበትን፣ የነዌን ልጅ ኢያሱን ውሰድና እጆችህን በእርሱ ላይ ጫን፡፡ BSB BSB: And the LORD replied to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man with the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him.
19 ULB በካህኑ አልዓዛር ፊትና በመላው ማህበረሰብ ፊት አቁመህ እንዲመራቸው በፊታቸው ሹመው፡፡ BSB BSB: Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation, and commission him in their sight.
20 ULB ከአንተ ስልጣን በእርሱ ላይ አድርግ፣ ስለዚህም መላው የእስራኤል ማህበረሰብ እርሱን ይታዘዙታል፡፡ BSB BSB: Confer on him some of your authority, so that the whole congregation of Israel will obey him.
21 ULB እርሱም በኡሪም በመጠየቅ ፍቃዴን ለማወቅ በካህኑ አልዓዛር ፊት ይሄዳል፡፡ ህዝቡ፣ እርሱና ከእርሱ ጋር መላው የእስራኤል ሰዎች፣ መላውም ማህበረሰብ የሚወጣውና የሚገባው በእርሱ ትዕዛዝ ይሆናል፡፡ BSB BSB: He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who will seek counsel for him before the LORD by the judgment of the Urim. At his command, he and all the Israelites with him—the entire congregation—will go out and come in.”
22 ULB ስለዚህም ሙሴ ያህዌ እርሱን እንዳዘዘው አደረገ፡፡ ኢያሱን ወስዶ በካህኑ አልዓዛርና በመላው ማህበር ፊት አቆመው፡፡ BSB BSB: Moses did as the LORD had commanded him. He took Joshua, had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation,
23 ULB ያህዌ እንዲያደርግ እንዳዘዘው ሁሉ እጆቹን በላዩ ጫነና እንዲመራ ሾመው፡፡ BSB BSB: and laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as the LORD had instructed through Moses.
