1. 1ULBጥበብ እየጮኸች አይደለምን? ማስተዋልስ ድምጿን ከፍ አላደረገችምን?BSBBSB: Does not wisdom call out, and understanding raise her voice?
2. 2ULBከመንገድ አጠገብ ባሉት ኮረብታዎች ጫፍ ላይ፣ መንገዶች በሚገናኙበት ቦታ፣ ጥበብ ትቆማለች፡፡BSBBSB: On the heights overlooking the road, at the crossroads she takes her stand.
3. 3ULBወደ ከተማይቱ በሚያስገቡት በሮች አጠገብ፣ በከተማይቱ መግቢያ አጠገብ፣ ትጣራለች፡፡BSBBSB: Beside the gates to the city, at the entrances she cries out:
4. 4ULBእናተ ሰዎች፣ ወደ እናንተ እጣራለሁ፣ ድምጼንም ከፍ አድርጌ ወደ ሰው ልጆች እጮኸለሁ፡፡BSBBSB: “To you, O men, I call out, and my cry is to the sons of men.
5. 5ULBእናንተ ትምህርት ያላገኛችሁ፣ ጠንቃቃነትን ተማሩ፣ እናንተ እውቀትን የምትጠሉ፣ የሚያስተውል ልብ ይኑራችሁ፡፡BSBBSB: O simple ones, learn to be shrewd; O fools, gain understanding.
6. 6ULBየከበሩ ነገሮችን እናገራለሁና አድምጡኝ፣ ከንፈሮቼ ሲከፈቱ ቀና የሆነውን ነገር እናገራለሁBSBBSB: Listen, for I speak of noble things, and the opening of my lips will reveal right.
7. 7ULBአንደበቴ እውነትን ይናራልና፣ ከንፈሮቼም ክፋትን ይጠላሉና፡፡BSBBSB: For my mouth will speak the truth, and wickedness is detestable to my lips.
8. 8ULBከአንደበቴ የሚወጡ ቃሎች ሁሉ ጽድቅ ናቸው፤ በእነርሱ ውስጥ ጠማማ ወይም አሳሳች ነገር የለውም፡፡BSBBSB: All the words of my mouth are righteous; none are crooked or perverse.
9. 9ULBለሚያስተውል ሰው ቃሎቼ በሙሉ ቀና ናቸው፤ እውቀትን ለሚያገኙ ቃሎቼ ትክክለኛ ናቸው፡፡BSBBSB: They are all plain to the discerning, and upright to those who find knowledge.
10. 10ULBከብር ይልቅ ተግሳጼን ምረጡ፣ ከንጹህ ወርቅም ይልቅ እውቀትን ምረጡ፡፡BSBBSB: Receive my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.
11. 11ULBእኔ ጥበብ፣ ከከበረ ዕንቁ እበልጣለሁና፤ ከምትመኙት ነገር በሙሉ ከእኔ ጋር የሚስተካከል የለም፡፡BSBBSB: For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire compares with her.
12. 12ULBእኔ ጥበብ፣ ከጥንቃቄ ጋር እኖራለሁ፣ እውቀትና ነገሮችን ለይቶ ውሳኔ የመስጠት ኃይልም አለኝ፡፡BSBBSB: I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion.
13. 13ULBእግዚአብሔርን መፍራት ክፋትን ይጠላል፤ ትዕቢት፣ እብሪት፣ ክፉ መንገድና ጠማማ ንግግር እጠላለሁ፣ ፈጽሞም እጠላቸዋለሁ፡፡BSBBSB: To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride, evil conduct, and perverse speech.
14. 14ULBእኔ መልካም ምክርና እውነተኛ ጥበብ አለኝ፤ ማስተዋል አለኝ፣ ብርታትም የእኔ ነው፡፡BSBBSB: Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight and strength.
15. 15ULBነገስታት፣ የከበሩ ሰዎችና በፍትሃዊነት ሕዝብን የሚመሩ ሁሉ በእኔ ያስተዳድራሉ፡፡BSBBSB: By me kings reign, and rulers enact just laws;
16. 16ULBመሳፍንቶች፣ የከበሩ ሰዎችና በፍትህ ሕዝብን የሚመሩ ሁሉ በእኔ ያስተዳድራሉ፡፡BSBBSB: By me princes rule, and all nobles who govern justly.
17. 17ULBየሚወዱኝን እወዳቸዋለሁ፣ ተግተው የሚፈልጉኝም ያገኙኛል፡፡BSBBSB: I love those who love me, and those who seek me early shall find me.
18. 18ULBባለጠግነትና ክብር፣ ዘላቂነት ያለው ሃብትና ጽድቅም በእኔ ዘንድ አሉ፡፡BSBBSB: With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and righteousness.
19. 19ULBፍሬየ ከወርቅ ይበልጣል፣ ከነጠረ ወርቅም ይበልጣል፤ ስጦታየም ከንጹህ ብር ይበልጣል፡፡BSBBSB: My fruit is better than gold, pure gold, and my harvest surpasses choice silver.
20. 20ULBእኔ በጽድቅ መንገድ እሄዳለሁ፣ ወደ ፍትህ በሚወስድ ጎዳና እጓዛለሁ፣BSBBSB: I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,
21. 21ULBስለዚህ ለሚወዱኝ ሀብትን እሰጣቸዋለሁ፣ ግምጃ ቤታቸውንም እሞላለሁ፡፡BSBBSB: bestowing wealth on those who love me and making their treasuries full.
22. 22ULBእግዚአብሄር ከመጀመርያ ፈጠረኝ፣ በቀድሞ ዘመን የስራው መጀመርያ ነኝ፡፡BSBBSB: The LORD created me as His first course, before His works of old.
23. 23ULBከመጀመርያ፣ ምድር ከመፈጠሯ በፊት፣ ከረጅም ዘመናት ጀምሮ ተሾምሁ፡፡BSBBSB: From everlasting I was established, from the beginning, before the earth began.
24. 24ULBውቅያኖሶች ሳይኖሩ፣ የውኃ ምንጮች ሳይፈልቁ በፊት፣ እኔ ተወልጄ ነበር፣BSBBSB: When there were no watery depths, I was brought forth, when no springs were overflowing with water.
25. 25ULBተራሮች ገና ሳይመሰረቱ፣ ከኮረብቶችም በፊት፣ እኔ ተወለድሁ፡፡BSBBSB: Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth,
26. 26ULBእግዚአብሔር ምድርንና ሜዳዎቿን፣ የመጀመርያውን የዓለም አፈር እንኳ ከመፍጠሩ በፊት እኔ ተወለድሁ፡፡BSBBSB: before He made the land or fields, or any of the dust of the earth.
27. 27ULBእርሱ ሰማያትን ሲመሰርት፣ በውቅያኖስ ገጽ የአድማስን ምልክት ባደረገ ጊዜ እኔ እዚያ ነበርሁ፡፡BSBBSB: I was there when He established the heavens, when He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep,
28. 28ULBእርሱ በላይ ያሉትን ደመናት ባጸና ጊዜ፣ የውቅያኖስን ምንጮች በመሰረተ ጊዜ እኔ እዚያ ነበርሁ፡፡BSBBSB: when He established the clouds above, when the fountains of the deep gushed forth,
29. 29ULBውሆች የእርሱን ትዕዛዝ አልፈው እንዳያጥለቀልቁ እርሱ ለባህር ድንበርን ባበጀለት ጊዜ፣ የምድርም መሰረት የት መሆን እንዳለበት በወሰነበት ጊዜ እኔ እዚያ ነበርሁ፡፡BSBBSB: when He set a boundary for the sea, so that the waters would not surpass His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth.
30. 30ULBእኔ ዋና ሰራተኛ ሆኜ በአጠገቡ ነበርሁ፣ እኔ ዕለት በዕለት እርሱን ደስ አሰኘው ነበርሁ፣ ሁልጊዜ በፊቱ ደስ ይለኝ ነበር፡፡BSBBSB: Then I was a skilled craftsman at His side, and His delight day by day, rejoicing always in His presence.
31. 31ULBየእርሱ በሆነው በመላው ዓለም ደስ ይለኝ ነበር፣ ደስታየም በሰው ልጅ ነበር፡፡BSBBSB: I was rejoicing in His whole world, delighting together in the sons of men.
32. 32ULBአሁንም፣ ልጆቼ ሆይ፣ አድምጡኝ፣ መንገዴን የሚጠብቁ ሁሉ ደስተኞች ይሆናሉና፡፡BSBBSB: Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.
33. 33ULBምክሬን አድምጡ፣ ጥበበኞችም ሁኑ፤ ቸልም አትበሉት፡፡BSBBSB: Listen to instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.
34. 34ULBእኔን የሚያደምጠኝ ደስተኛ ይሆናል፣ ዕለት በዕለት በመግቢያየ የሚተጋ፣ በቤቴም በሮች አጠገብ የሚጠብቀኝ፡፡BSBBSB: Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my doorway.
35. 35ULBእኔን ያገኘ ሕይወትን ያገኛልና፣ የእግዚአብሔርንም ሞገስ ያገኛል፡፡BSBBSB: For whoever finds me finds life and obtains the favor of the LORD.
36. 36ULBእኔን ያጣ ግን ራሱን ይጎዳል፤ እኔን የሚጠሉኝ በሙሉ ሞትን ይወድዳሉ፡፡BSBBSB: But he who fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.”
