1 ULB ያህዌ ሆይ፣ ዳዊትን፣ የተቀበለውንም መከራ ሁሉ አስብ፡፡ BSB BSB: A song of ascents. O LORD, remember on behalf of David all the hardships he endured,
2 ULB እርሱ ለያህዌ ማለ፣ ለያዕቆብም ኃያል አምላክ ቃል ገባ፤ BSB BSB: how he swore an oath to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 ULB እንዲህም አለ፣ «ወደ ቤቴ አልገባም፤ አልጋዬ ላይ አልወጣም BSB BSB: “I will not enter my house or get into my bed,
4 ULB ለዐይኖቼ እንቅልፍን ለሽፋሽፍቶቼም ዕረፍትን አልሰጥም፤ BSB BSB: I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,
5 ULB ለያህዌ ስፍራን፣ ለያዕቆብ ኃያል ማደሪያን እስካገኝ ድረስ፡፡ BSB BSB: until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 ULB እነሆ፣ በኤፍራታ ሰማነው፣ በይዓሪም አገኘነው፡፡ BSB BSB: We heard that the ark was in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
7 ULB ወደ ማደሪያው እንግባ እግሮቹ በሚቆሙበት ስፍራ እንስገድ፡፡ BSB BSB: Let us go to His dwelling place; let us worship at His footstool.
8 ULB ያህዌ ሆይ ተነሥ አንተና የኃይልህ ታቦታ ወደ ማደሪያህ ስፍራ ሂዱ፡፡ BSB BSB: Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.
9 ULB ካህናትህ ጽድቅን ይልበሱ ታማኞችህ እልል ይበሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and Your saints shout for joy.
10 ULB ስለ ባርያህ ስለ ዳዊት ስትል የተቀባኸውን ንጉሥ አትተወው፡፡ BSB BSB: For the sake of Your servant David, do not reject Your anointed one.
11 ULB ያህዌ ለዳዊት በእውነት ማለ በማይታጠፍ መሐላ እንዲህ አለ «ከልጆችህ አንዱን ዙፋንህ ላይ አስቀምጣለሁ BSB BSB: The LORD swore an oath to David, a promise He will not revoke: “One of your descendants I will place on your throne.
12 ULB ልጆችህ ኪዳኔን፣ የማስተምራቸውንም ሕጌን ቢጠብቁ፣ ልጆቻቸው ለዘላለም በዙፋንህ ላይ ይቀመጣሉ፡፡» BSB BSB: If your sons keep My covenant and the testimony I will teach them, then their sons will also sit on your throne forever and ever.”
13 ULB ያህዌ ጽዮንን መርጧልና ማደሪያው እንድትሆን ወዶአልና፡፡ BSB BSB: For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His home:
14 ULB «ይህች ለዘላለም ማረፊያዬ ናት ፈልጌአታለሁና በእርሷ እኖራለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: “This is My resting place forever and ever; here I will dwell, for I have desired this home.
15 ULB እጅግ አትረፍርፌ እባርካታለሁ ድኾቿን እንጀራ አጠግባለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: I will bless her with abundant provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 ULB ካህናቶቿን ማዳንን አለብሳቸዋለሁ ታማኞቿም እልል ይላሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will sing out in joy.
17 ULB በዚያ ለዳዊት ቀንድ አበቅላለሁ ለቀባሁትም ሰው መብራት አዘጋጃለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.
18 ULB ጠላቶቹን እፍረት አከናንባቸዋለሁ እርሱ ላይ ግን አክሊሉ ያበራል፡፡ BSB BSB: I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown upon him will gleam.”
