4 ARST Since God is so great, no person can be righteous compared with him. No human being is innocent by his standards. BSB BSB: How then can a man be just before God? How can one born of woman be pure?
5 ARST Consider this: God is so glorious that he does not even consider the full moon to be bright! Even the white light of the stars does not seem pure to him. BSB BSB: If even the moon does not shine, and the stars are not pure in His sight,
6 ARST So God would certainly not consider mortal humans to be pure!” BSB BSB: how much less man, who is but a maggot, and the son of man, who is but a worm!”
