Psalm 29 29 Psalms Book 1 Arabic Simplified Text 1 ARST Mighty people, praise Yahweh! Praise him because he is very glorious and powerful. BSB BSB: A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
2 ARST Praise Yahweh with the glory his names deserves. Bow down and worship Yahweh because he is holy and his holiness shines out from him with wonderful beauty. BSB BSB: Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.
3 ARST Yahweh’ s voice is heard above the oceans; the glorious God thunders. He appears over the huge oceans. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.
4 ARST His voice is powerful and majestic. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
5 ARST Yahweh’ s voice breaks great cedar trees, the cedars that grow in Lebanon. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
6 ARST He causes earthquakes to shake the region of Lebanon as a young cow jumps; he causes Sirion(also called Mount Hermon) to shake as a young bull jumps. BSB BSB: He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 ARST Yahweh’ s voice tells the lightning to flash. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.
8 ARST His voice causes the desert to shake; he shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
9 ARST Yahweh’ s voice makes the large trees shake, and strips the leaves from the trees while the people in the temple shout,“Praise God!” BSB BSB: The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”
10 ARST Yahweh rules over the flood that covered the earth; he is our king who will rule forever. BSB BSB: The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
11 ARST Yahweh enables his people to be strong, and he blesses them by causing things to go well for them. BSB BSB: The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.
