1 GLT أَيُّهَا ٱلْأَوْلَادُ، أَطِيعُوا وَالِدِيكُمْ فِي ٱلرَّبِّ لِأَنَّ هَذَا حَقٌّ. BSB BSB: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 GLT «أَكْرِمْ أَبَاكَ وَأُمَّكَ»، ٱلَّتِي هِيَ أَوَّلُ وَصِيَّةٍ بِوَعْدٍ، BSB BSB: “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 GLT «لِكَيْ يَكُونَ لَكُمْ خَيْرٌ، وَتَكُونُوا طِوَالَ ٱلْأَعْمَارِ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ». BSB BSB: “that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on the earth.”
4 GLT وَأَنْتُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْآبَاءُ، لَا تُغِيظُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ، بَلْ رَبُّوهُمْ بِتَأْدِيبِ ٱلرَّبِّ وَإِنْذَارِهِ. BSB BSB: Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
5 GLT أَيُّهَا ٱلْعَبِيدُ، أَطِيعُوا سَادَتَكُمْ حَسَبَ ٱلْجَسَدِ بِخَوْفٍ وَرِعْدَةٍ، فِي بَسَاطَةِ قُلُوبِكُمْ كَمَا لِلْمَسِيحِ، BSB BSB: Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
6 GLT لَا بِخِدْمَةِ ٱلْعَيْنِ كَمَنْ يُرْضِي ٱلنَّاسَ، بَلْ كَعَبِيدِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، عَامِلِينَ مَشِيئَةَ ٱللهِ مِنَ ٱلْقَلْبِ، BSB BSB: And do this not only to please them while they are watching, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
7 GLT خَادِمِينَ بِنِيَّةٍ صَالِحَةٍ كَمَا لِلرَّبِّ، لَيْسَ لِلنَّاسِ. BSB BSB: Serve with good will, as to the Lord and not to men,
8 GLT عَالِمِينَ أَنْ مَهْمَا عَمِلَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنَ ٱلْخَيْرِ فَذَلِكَ يَنَالُهُ مِنَ ٱلرَّبِّ، عَبْدًا كَانَ أَمْ حُرًّا. BSB BSB: because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
10 GLT أَخِيرًا يَا إِخْوَتِي، تَقَوَّوْا فِي ٱلرَّبِّ وَفِي شِدَّةِ قُوَّتِهِ. BSB BSB: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
11 GLT ٱلْبَسُوا سِلَاحَ ٱللهِ ٱلْكَامِلَ لِكَيْ تَقْدِرُوا أَنْ تَثْبُتُوا ضِدَّ مَكَايِدِ إِبْلِيسَ. BSB BSB: Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
12 GLT فَإِنَّ مُصَارَعَتَنَا لَيْسَتْ مَعَ دَمٍ وَلَحْمٍ، بَلْ مَعَ ٱلرُّؤَسَاءِ، مَعَ ٱلسَّلَاطِينِ، مَعَ وُلَاةِ ٱلْعَالَمِ عَلَى ظُلْمَةِ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ، مَعَ أَجْنَادِ ٱلشَّرِّ ٱلرُّوحِيَّةِ فِي ٱلسَّمَاوِيَّاتِ. BSB BSB: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 GLT مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ ٱحْمِلُوا سِلَاحَ ٱللهِ ٱلْكَامِلَ لِكَيْ تَقْدِرُوا أَنْ تُقَاوِمُوا فِي ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ، وَبَعْدَ أَنْ تُتَمِّمُوا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَنْ تَثْبُتُوا. BSB BSB: Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
14 GLT فَٱثْبُتُوا مُمَنْطِقِينَ أَحْقَاءَكُمْ بِٱلْحَقِّ، وَلَابِسِينَ دِرْعَ ٱلْبِرِّ، BSB BSB: Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed,
15 GLT وَحَاذِينَ أَرْجُلَكُمْ بِٱسْتِعْدَادِ إِنْجِيلِ ٱلسَّلَامِ. BSB BSB: and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
16 GLT حَامِلِينَ فَوْقَ ٱلْكُلِّ تُرْسَ ٱلْإِيمَانِ، ٱلَّذِي بِهِ تَقْدِرُونَ أَنْ تُطْفِئُوا جَمِيعَ سِهَامِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ ٱلْمُلْتَهِبَةِ. BSB BSB: In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 GLT وَخُذُوا خُوذَةَ ٱلْخَلَاصِ، وَسَيْفَ ٱلرُّوحِ ٱلَّذِي هُوَ كَلِمَةُ ٱللهِ. BSB BSB: And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 GLT مُصَلِّينَ بِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ وَطِلْبَةٍ كُلَّ وَقْتٍ فِي ٱلرُّوحِ، وَسَاهِرِينَ لِهَذَا بِعَيْنِهِ بِكُلِّ مُواظَبَةٍ وَطِلْبَةٍ، لِأَجْلِ جَمِيعِ ٱلْقِدِّيسِينَ، BSB BSB: Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
19 GLT وَلِأَجْلِي، لِكَيْ يُعْطَى لِي كَلَامٌ عِنْدَ ٱفْتِتَاحِ فَمِي، لِأُعْلِمَ جِهَارًا بِسِرِّ ٱلْإِنْجِيلِ، BSB BSB: Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 GLT ٱلَّذِي لِأَجْلِهِ أَنَا سَفِيرٌ فِي سَلَاسِلَ، لِكَيْ أُجَاهِرَ فِيهِ كَمَا يَجِبُ أَنْ أَتَكَلَّمَ. BSB BSB: for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.
21 GLT وَلَكِنْ لِكَيْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنْتُمْ أَيْضًا أَحْوَالِي، مَاذَا أَفْعَلُ، يُعَرِّفُكُمْ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ تِيخِيكُسُ ٱلْأَخُ ٱلْحَبِيبُ وَٱلْخَادِمُ ٱلْأَمِينُ فِي ٱلرَّبِّ، BSB BSB: Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know about me and what I am doing.
22 GLT ٱلَّذِي أَرْسَلْتُهُ إِلَيْكُمْ لِهَذَا بِعَيْنِهِ، لِكَيْ تَعْلَمُوا أَحْوَالَنَا، وَلِكَيْ يُعَزِّيَ قُلُوبَكُمْ. BSB BSB: I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may encourage your hearts.
23 GLT سَلَامٌ عَلَى ٱلْإِخْوَةِ، وَمَحَبَّةٌ بِإِيمَانٍ مِنَ ٱللهِ ٱلْآبِ وَٱلرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. BSB BSB: Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 GLT اَلنِّعْمَةُ مَعَ جَمِيعِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ رَبَّنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ فِي عَدَمِ فَسَادٍ. آمِينَ.— كُتِبَتْ إِلَى أَهْلِ أَفَسُسَ مِنْ رُومِيَةِ عَلَى يَدِ تِيخِيكُسَ- BSB BSB: Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
