1 GLT وَهَذِهِ مَوَالِيدُ بَنِي نُوحٍ: سَامٌ وَحَامٌ وَيَافَثُ. وَوُلِدَ لَهُمْ بَنُونَ بَعْدَ ٱلطُّوفَانِ. BSB BSB: This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, who also had sons after the flood.
2 GLT بَنُو يَافَثَ: جُومَرُ وَمَاجُوجُ وَمَادَاي وَيَاوَانُ وَتُوبَالُ وَمَاشِكُ وَتِيرَاسُ. BSB BSB: The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3 GLT وَبَنُو جُومَرَ: أَشْكَنَازُ وَرِيفَاثُ وَتُوجَرْمَةُ. BSB BSB: The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 GLT وَبَنُو يَاوَانَ: أَلِيشَةُ وَتَرْشِيشُ وَكِتِّيمُ وَدُودَانِيمُ. BSB BSB: And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.
5 GLT مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ تَفَرَّقَتْ جَزَائِرُ ٱلْأُمَمِ بِأَرَاضِيهِمْ، كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ كَلِسَانِهِ حَسَبَ قَبَائِلِهِمْ بِأُمَمِهِمْ. BSB BSB: From these, the maritime peoples separated into their territories, according to their languages, by clans within their nations.
6 GLT وَبَنُو حَامٍ: كُوشُ وَمِصْرَايِمُ وَفُوطُ وَكَنْعَانُ. BSB BSB: The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
7 GLT وَبَنُو كُوشَ: سَبَا وَحَوِيلَةُ وَسَبْتَةُ وَرَعْمَةُ وَسَبْتَكَا. وَبَنُو رَعْمَةَ: شَبَا وَدَدَانُ. BSB BSB: The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 GLT وَكُوشُ وَلَدَ نِمْرُودَ ٱلَّذِي ٱبْتَدَأَ يَكُونُ جَبَّارًا فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ، BSB BSB: Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.
9 GLT ٱلَّذِي كَانَ جَبَّارَ صَيْدٍ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ. لِذَلِكَ يُقَالُ:«كَنِمْرُودَ جَبَّارُ صَيْدٍ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ». BSB BSB: He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; so it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.”
10 GLT وَكَانَ ٱبْتِدَاءُ مَمْلَكَتِهِ بَابِلَ وَأَرَكَ وَأَكَّدَ وَكَلْنَةَ، فِي أَرْضِ شِنْعَارَ. BSB BSB: His kingdom began in Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 GLT مِنْ تِلْكَ ٱلْأَرْضِ خَرَجَ أَشُّورُ وَبَنَى نِينَوَى وَرَحُوبُوتَ عَيْرَ وَكَالَحَ BSB BSB: From that land he went forth into Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,
12 GLT وَرَسَنَ، بَيْنَ نِينَوَى وَكَالَحَ، هِيَ ٱلْمَدِينَةُ ٱلْكَبِيرَةُ. BSB BSB: and Resen, which is between Nineveh and the great city of Calah.
13 GLT وَمِصْرَايِمُ وَلَدَ: لُودِيمَ وَعَنَامِيمَ وَلَهَابِيمَ وَنَفْتُوحِيمَ BSB BSB: Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,
14 GLT وَفَتْرُوسِيمَ وَكَسْلُوحِيمَ. ٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجَ مِنْهُمْ فِلِشْتِيمُ وَكَفْتُورِيمُ. BSB BSB: the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.
15 GLT وَكَنْعَانُ وَلَدَ: صِيْدُونَ بِكْرَهُ، وَحِثًّا BSB BSB: And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites,
16 GLT وَٱلْيَبُوسِيَّ وَٱلْأَمُورِيَّ وَٱلْجِرْجَاشِيَّ BSB BSB: the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
17 GLT وَٱلْحِوِّيَّ وَٱلْعَرْقِيَّ وَٱلسِّينِيَّ BSB BSB: the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
18 GLT وَٱلْأَرْوَادِيَّ وَٱلصَّمَارِيَّ وَٱلْحَمَاتِيَّ. وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ تَفَرَّقَتْ قَبَائِلُ ٱلْكَنْعَانِيِّ. BSB BSB: the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans were scattered,
19 GLT وَكَانَتْ تُخُومُ ٱلْكَنْعَانِيِّ مِنْ صَيْدُونَ، حِينَمَا تَجِيءُ نَحْوَ جَرَارَ إِلَى غَزَّةَ، وَحِينَمَا تَجِيءُ نَحْوَ سَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ وَأَدْمَةَ وَصَبُويِيمَ إِلَى لَاشَعَ. BSB BSB: and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.
20 GLT هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو حَامٍ حَسَبَ قَبَائِلِهِمْ كَأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ بِأَرَاضِيهِمْ وَأُمَمِهِمْ. BSB BSB: These are the sons of Ham according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.
21 GLT وَسَامٌ أَبُو كُلِّ بَنِي عَابِرَ، أَخُو يَافَثَ ٱلْكَبِيرُ، وُلِدَ لَهُ أَيْضًا بَنُونَ. BSB BSB: And sons were also born to Shem, the older brother of Japheth; Shem was the forefather of all the sons of Eber.
22 GLT بَنُو سَامٍ: عِيلَامُ وَأَشُّورُ وَأَرْفَكْشَادُ وَلُودُ وَأَرَامُ. BSB BSB: The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
23 GLT وَبَنُو أَرَامَ: عُوصُ وَحُولُ وَجَاثَرُ وَمَاشُ. BSB BSB: The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24 GLT وَأَرْفَكْشَادُ وَلَدَ شَالَحَ، وَشَالَحُ وَلَدَ عَابِرَ. BSB BSB: Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.
25 GLT وَلِعَابِرَ وُلِدَ ٱبْنَانِ: ٱسْمُ ٱلْوَاحِدِ فَالَجُ لِأَنَّ فِي أَيَّامِهِ قُسِمَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ. وَٱسْمُ أَخِيهِ يَقْطَانُ. BSB BSB: Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.
26 GLT وَيَقْطَانُ وَلَدَ: أَلْمُودَادَ وَشَالَفَ وَحَضَرْمَوْتَ وَيَارَحَ BSB BSB: And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 GLT وَهَدُورَامَ وَأُوزَالَ وَدِقْلَةَ BSB BSB: Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 GLT وَعُوبَالَ وَأَبِيمَايِلَ وَشَبَا BSB BSB: Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 GLT وَأُوفِيرَ وَحَوِيلَةَ وَيُوبَابَ. جَمِيعُ هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو يَقْطَانَ. BSB BSB: Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
30 GLT وَكَانَ مَسْكَنُهُمْ مِنْ مِيشَا حِينَمَا تَجِيءُ نَحْوَ سَفَارَ جَبَلِ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ. BSB BSB: Their territory extended from Mesha to Sephar, in the eastern hill country.
31 GLT هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو سَامٍ حَسَبَ قَبَائِلِهِمْ كَأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ بِأَرَاضِيهِمْ حَسَبَ أُمَمِهِمْ. BSB BSB: These are the sons of Shem, according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.
32 GLT هَؤُلَاءِ قَبَائِلُ بَنِي نُوحٍ حَسَبَ مَوَالِيدِهِمْ بِأُمَمِهِمْ. وَمِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ تَفَرَّقَتِ ٱلْأُمَمُ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ ٱلطُّوفَانِ. BSB BSB: All these are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their generations and nations. From these the nations of the earth spread out after the flood.
