1 GLT اُذْكُرْ يَا رَبُّ دَاوُدَ، كُلَّ ذُلِّهِ. BSB BSB: A song of ascents. O LORD, remember on behalf of David all the hardships he endured,
2 GLT كَيْفَ حَلَفَ لِلرَّبِّ، نَذَرَ لِعَزِيزِ يَعْقُوبَ: BSB BSB: how he swore an oath to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 GLT «لَا أَدْخُلُ خَيْمَةَ بَيْتِي. لَا أَصْعَدُ عَلَى سَرِيرِ فِرَاشِي. BSB BSB: “I will not enter my house or get into my bed,
4 GLT لَا أُعْطِي وَسَنًا لِعَيْنَيَّ، وَلَا نَوْمًا لِأَجْفَانِي، BSB BSB: I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,
5 GLT أَوْ أَجِدَ مَقَامًا لِلرَّبِّ، مَسْكَنًا لِعَزِيزِ يَعْقُوبَ». BSB BSB: until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 GLT هُوَذَا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا بِهِ فِي أَفْرَاتَةَ. وَجَدْنَاهُ فِي حُقُولِ ٱلْوَعْرِ. BSB BSB: We heard that the ark was in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
7 GLT «لِنَدْخُلْ إِلَى مَسَاكِنِهِ. لِنَسْجُدْ عِنْدَ مَوْطِئِ قَدَمَيْهِ». BSB BSB: Let us go to His dwelling place; let us worship at His footstool.
8 GLT قُمْ يَا رَبُّ إِلَى رَاحَتِكَ، أَنْتَ وَتَابُوتُ عِزِّكَ. BSB BSB: Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.
9 GLT كَهَنَتُكَ يَلْبَسُونَ ٱلْبِرَّ، وَأَتْقِيَاؤُكَ يَهْتِفُونَ. BSB BSB: May Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and Your saints shout for joy.
10 GLT مِنْ أَجْلِ دَاوُدَ عَبْدِكَ لَا تَرُدَّ وَجْهَ مَسِيحِكَ. BSB BSB: For the sake of Your servant David, do not reject Your anointed one.
11 GLT أَقْسَمَ ٱلرَّبُّ لِدَاوُدَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَا يَرْجِعُ عَنْهُ: «مِنْ ثَمَرَةِ بَطْنِكَ أَجْعَلُ عَلَى كُرْسِيِّكَ. BSB BSB: The LORD swore an oath to David, a promise He will not revoke: “One of your descendants I will place on your throne.
12 GLT إِنْ حَفِظَ بَنُوكَ عَهْدِي وَشَهَادَاتِي ٱلَّتِي أُعَلِّمُهُمْ إِيَّاهَا، فَبَنُوهُمْ أَيْضًا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ يَجْلِسُونَ عَلَى كُرْسِيِّكَ». BSB BSB: If your sons keep My covenant and the testimony I will teach them, then their sons will also sit on your throne forever and ever.”
13 GLT لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ قَدِ ٱخْتَارَ صِهْيَوْنَ. ٱشْتَهَاهَا مَسْكَنًا لَهُ: BSB BSB: For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His home:
14 GLT «هَذِهِ هِيَ رَاحَتِي إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. هَهُنَا أَسْكُنُ لِأَنِّي ٱشْتَهَيْتُهَا. BSB BSB: “This is My resting place forever and ever; here I will dwell, for I have desired this home.
15 GLT طَعَامَهَا أُبَارِكُ بَرَكَةً. مَسَاكِينَهَا أُشْبِعُ خُبْزًا. BSB BSB: I will bless her with abundant provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 GLT كَهَنَتَهَا أُلْبِسُ خَلَاصًا. BSB BSB: I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will sing out in joy.
17 GLT هُنَاكَ أُنْبِتُ قَرْنًا لِدَاوُدَ. رَتَّبْتُ سِرَاجًا لِمَسِيحِي. BSB BSB: There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.
18 GLT أَعْدَاءَهُ أُلْبِسُ خِزْيًا، وَعَلَيْهِ يُزْهِرُ إِكْلِيلُهُ». BSB BSB: I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown upon him will gleam.”
