1 GLT بِمَرَاحِمِ ٱلرَّبِّ أُغَنِّي إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ. لِدَوْرٍ فَدَوْرٍ أُخْبِرُ عَنْ حَقِّكَ بِفَمِي. BSB BSB: A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the loving devotion of the LORD forever; with my mouth I will proclaim Your faithfulness to all generations.
2 GLT لِأَنِّي قُلْتُ: «إِنَّ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ تُبْنَى. ٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ تُثْبِتُ فِيهَا حَقَّكَ». BSB BSB: For I have said, “Loving devotion is built up forever; in the heavens You establish Your faithfulness.”
3 GLT «قَطَعْتُ عَهْدًا مَعَ مُخْتَارِي، حَلَفْتُ لِدَاوُدَ عَبْدِي: BSB BSB: You said, “I have made a covenant with My chosen one, I have sworn to David My servant:
4 GLT إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ أُثَبِّتُ نَسْلَكَ، وَأَبْنِي إِلَى دَوْرٍ فَدَوْرٍ كُرْسِيَّكَ». سِلَاهْ. BSB BSB: ‘I will establish your offspring forever and build up your throne for all generations.’” Selah
5 GLT وَٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ تَحْمَدُ عَجَائِبَكَ يَا رَبُّ، وَحَقَّكَ أَيْضًا فِي جَمَاعَةِ ٱلْقِدِّيسِينَ. BSB BSB: The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD—Your faithfulness as well—in the assembly of the holy ones.
6 GLT لِأَنَّهُ مَنْ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ يُعَادِلُ ٱلرَّبَّ. مَنْ يُشْبِهُ ٱلرَّبَّ بَيْنَ أَبْنَاءِ ٱللهِ؟ BSB BSB: For who in the skies can compare with the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD?
7 GLT إِلَهٌ مَهُوبٌ جِدًّا فِي مُؤَامَرَةِ ٱلْقِدِّيسِينَ، وَمَخُوفٌ عِنْدَ جَمِيعِ ٱلَّذِينَ حَوْلَهُ. BSB BSB: In the council of the holy ones, God is greatly feared, and awesome above all who surround Him.
8 GLT يَا رَبُّ إِلَهَ ٱلْجُنُودِ، مَنْ مِثْلُكَ؟ قَوِيٌّ، رَبٌّ، وَحَقُّكَ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ. BSB BSB: O LORD God of Hosts, who is like You? O mighty LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You.
9 GLT أَنْتَ مُتَسَلِّطٌ عَلَى كِبْرِيَاءِ ٱلْبَحْرِ. عِنْدَ ٱرْتِفَاعِ لُجَجِهِ أَنْتَ تُسَكِّنُهَا. BSB BSB: You rule the raging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them.
10 GLT أَنْتَ سَحَقْتَ رَهَبَ مِثْلَ ٱلْقَتِيلِ. بِذِرَاعِ قُوَّتِكَ بَدَّدْتَ أَعْدَاءَكَ. BSB BSB: You crushed Rahab like a carcass; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.
11 GLT لَكَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ. لَكَ أَيْضًا ٱلْأَرْضُ. ٱلْمَسْكُونَةُ وَمِلْؤُهَا أَنْتَ أَسَّسْتَهُمَا. BSB BSB: The heavens are Yours, and also the earth. The earth and its fullness You founded.
12 GLT ٱلشِّمَالُ وَٱلْجَنُوبُ أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَهُمَا. تَابُورُ وَحَرْمُونُ بِٱسْمِكَ يَهْتِفَانِ. BSB BSB: North and south You created; Tabor and Hermon shout for joy at Your name.
13 GLT لَكَ ذِرَاعُ ٱلْقُدْرَةِ. قَوِيَّةٌ يَدُكَ. مُرْتَفِعَةٌ يَمِينُكَ. BSB BSB: Mighty is Your arm; strong is Your hand. Your right hand is exalted.
14 GLT ٱلْعَدْلُ وَٱلْحَقُّ قَاعِدَةُ كُرْسِيِّكَ. ٱلرَّحْمَةُ وَٱلْأَمَانَةُ تَتَقَدَّمَانِ أَمَامَ وَجْهِكَ. BSB BSB: Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; loving devotion and faithfulness go before You.
15 GLT طُوبَى لِلشَّعْبِ ٱلْعَارِفِينَ ٱلْهُتَافَ. يَا رَبُّ، بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ يَسْلُكُونَ. BSB BSB: Blessed are those who know the joyful sound, who walk, O LORD, in the light of Your presence.
16 GLT بِٱسْمِكَ يَبْتَهِجُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ كُلَّهُ، وَبِعَدْلِكَ يَرْتَفِعُونَ. BSB BSB: They rejoice in Your name all day long, and in Your righteousness they exult.
17 GLT لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ فَخْرُ قُوَّتِهِمْ، وَبِرِضَاكَ يَنْتَصِبُ قَرْنُنَا. BSB BSB: For You are the glory of their strength, and by Your favor our horn is exalted.
18 GLT لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ مِجَنُّنَا، وَقُدُّوسَ إِسْرَائِيلَ مَلِكُنَا. BSB BSB: Surely our shield belongs to the LORD, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19 GLT حِينَئِذٍ كَلَّمْتَ بِرُؤْيَا تَقِيَّكَ وَقُلْتَ: «جَعَلْتُ عَوْنًا عَلَى قَوِيٍّ. رَفَعْتُ مُخْتَارًا مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلشَّعْبِ. BSB BSB: You once spoke in a vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a warrior; I have exalted one chosen from the people.
20 GLT وَجَدْتُ دَاوُدَ عَبْدِي. بِدُهْنِ قُدْسِي مَسَحْتُهُ. BSB BSB: I have found My servant David; with My sacred oil I have anointed him.
21 GLT ٱلَّذِي تَثْبُتُ يَدِي مَعَهُ. أَيْضًا ذِرَاعِي تُشَدِّدُهُ. BSB BSB: My hand will sustain him; surely My arm will strengthen him.
22 GLT لَا يُرْغِمُهُ عَدُوٌّ، وَٱبْنُ ٱلْإِثْمِ لَا يُذَلِّلُهُ. BSB BSB: No enemy will exact tribute; no wicked man will oppress him.
23 GLT وَأَسْحَقُ أَعْدَاءَهُ أَمَامَ وَجْهِهِ، وَأَضْرِبُ مُبْغِضِيهِ. BSB BSB: I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.
24 GLT أَمَّا أَمَانَتِي وَرَحْمَتِي فَمَعَهُ، وَبِٱسْمِي يَنْتَصِبُ قَرْنُهُ. BSB BSB: My faithfulness and loving devotion will be with him, and through My name his horn will be exalted.
25 GLT وَأَجْعَلُ عَلَى ٱلْبَحْرِ يَدَهُ، وَعَلَى ٱلْأَنْهَارِ يَمِينَهُ. BSB BSB: I will set his hand over the sea, and his right hand upon the rivers.
26 GLT هُوَ يَدْعُونِي: أَبِي أَنْتَ، إِلَهِي وَصَخْرَةُ خَلَاصِي. BSB BSB: He will call to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock of my salvation.’
27 GLT أَنَا أَيْضًا أَجْعَلُهُ بِكْرًا، أَعْلَى مِنْ مُلُوكِ ٱلْأَرْضِ. BSB BSB: I will indeed appoint him as My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 GLT إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ أَحْفَظُ لَهُ رَحْمَتِي. وَعَهْدِي يُثَبَّتُ لَهُ. BSB BSB: I will forever preserve My loving devotion for him, and My covenant with him will stand fast.
29 GLT وَأَجْعَلُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ نَسْلَهُ مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ. BSB BSB: I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.
30 GLT إِنْ تَرَكَ بَنُوهُ شَرِيعَتِي وَلَمْ يَسْلُكُوا بِأَحْكَامِي، BSB BSB: If his sons forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments,
31 GLT إِنْ نَقَضُوا فَرَائِضِي وَلَمْ يَحْفَظُوا وَصَايَايَ، BSB BSB: if they violate My statutes and fail to keep My commandments,
32 GLT أَفْتَقِدُ بِعَصًا مَعْصِيَتَهُمْ، وَبِضَرَبَاتٍ إِثْمَهُمْ. BSB BSB: I will attend to their transgression with the rod, and to their iniquity with stripes.
33 GLT أَمَّا رَحْمَتِي فَلَا أَنْزِعُهَا عَنْهُ، وَلَا أَكْذِبُ مِنْ جِهَةِ أَمَانَتِي. BSB BSB: But I will not withdraw My loving devotion from him, nor ever betray My faithfulness.
34 GLT لَا أَنْقُضُ عَهْدِي، وَلَا أُغَيِّرُ مَا خَرَجَ مِنْ شَفَتَيَّ. BSB BSB: I will not violate My covenant or alter the utterance of My lips.
35 GLT مَرَّةً حَلَفْتُ بِقُدْسِي، أَنِّي لَا أَكْذِبُ لِدَاوُدَ: BSB BSB: Once and for all I have sworn by My holiness—I will not lie to David—
36 GLT نَسْلُهُ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ يَكُونُ، وَكُرْسِيُّهُ كَٱلشَّمْسِ أَمَامِي. BSB BSB: his offspring shall endure forever, and his throne before Me like the sun,
37 GLT مِثْلَ ٱلْقَمَرِ يُثَبَّتُ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ. وَٱلشَّاهِدُ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ أَمِينٌ. سِلَاهْ. BSB BSB: like the moon, established forever, a faithful witness in the sky.” Selah
38 GLT لَكِنَّكَ رَفَضْتَ وَرَذَلْتَ، غَضِبْتَ عَلَى مَسِيحِكَ. BSB BSB: Now, however, You have spurned and rejected him; You are enraged by Your anointed one.
39 GLT نَقَضْتَ عَهْدَ عَبْدِكَ، نَجَّسْتَ تَاجَهُ فِي ٱلتُّرَابِ. BSB BSB: You have renounced the covenant with Your servant and sullied his crown in the dust.
40 GLT هَدَمْتَ كُلَّ جُدْرَانِهِ جَعَلْتَ حُصُونَهُ خَرَابًا. BSB BSB: You have broken down all his walls; You have reduced his strongholds to rubble.
41 GLT أَفْسَدَهُ كُلُّ عَابِرِي ٱلطَّرِيقِ صَارَ عَارًا عِنْدَ جِيرَانِهِ. BSB BSB: All who pass by plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.
42 GLT رَفَعْتَ يَمِينَ مُضَايِقِيهِ، فَرَّحْتَ جَمِيعَ أَعْدَائِهِ. BSB BSB: You have exalted the right hand of his foes; You have made all his enemies rejoice.
43 GLT أَيْضًا رَدَدْتَ حَدَّ سَيْفِهِ، وَلَمْ تَنْصُرْهُ فِي ٱلْقِتَالِ. BSB BSB: You have bent the edge of his sword and have not sustained him in battle.
44 GLT أَبْطَلْتَ بَهَاءَهُ، وَأَلْقَيْتَ كُرْسِيَّهُ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ. BSB BSB: You have ended his splendor and cast his throne to the ground.
45 GLT قَصَّرْتَ أَيَّامَ شَبَابِهِ غَطَّيْتَهُ بِٱلْخِزْيِ. سِلَاهْ. BSB BSB: You have cut short the days of his youth; You have covered him with shame. Selah
46 GLT حَتَّى مَتَى يَا رَبُّ تَخْتَبِئُ كُلَّ ٱلِٱخْتِبَاءِ؟ حَتَّى مَتَى يَتَّقِدُ كَٱلنَّارِ غَضَبُكَ؟ BSB BSB: How long, O LORD? Will You hide Yourself forever? Will Your wrath keep burning like fire?
47 GLT ٱذْكُرْ كَيْفَ أَنَا زَائِلٌ، إِلَى أَيِّ بَاطِلٍ خَلَقْتَ جَمِيعَ بَنِي آدَمَ! BSB BSB: Remember the briefness of my lifespan! For what futility You have created all men!
48 GLT أَيُّ إِنْسَانٍ يَحْيَا وَلَا يَرَى ٱلْمَوْتَ؟ أَيٌّ يُنَجِّي نَفْسَهُ مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ؟ سِلَاهْ. BSB BSB: What man can live and never see death? Can he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah
49 GLT أَيْنَ مَرَاحِمُكَ ٱلْأُوَلُ يَا رَبُّ، ٱلَّتِي حَلَفْتَ بِهَا لِدَاوُدَ بِأَمَانَتِكَ؟ BSB BSB: Where, O Lord, is Your loving devotion of old, which You faithfully swore to David?
50 GLT ٱذْكُرْ يَا رَبُّ عَارَ عَبِيدِكَ ٱلَّذِي أَحْتَمِلُهُ فِي حِضْنِي مِنْ كَثْرَةِ ٱلْأُمَمِ كُلِّهَا، BSB BSB: Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, which I bear in my heart from so many people—
51 GLT ٱلَّذِي بِهِ عَيَّرَ أَعْدَاؤُكَ يَا رَبُّ، ٱلَّذِينَ عَيَّرُوا آثَارَ مَسِيحِكَ. BSB BSB: how Your enemies have taunted, O LORD, and have mocked every step of Your anointed one!
52 GLT مُبَارَكٌ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَى ٱلدَّهْرِ. آمِينَ فَآمِينَ. BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and amen.
