1 GLT يَا إِلَهَ ٱلنَّقَمَاتِ يَا رَبُّ، يَا إِلَهَ ٱلنَّقَمَاتِ، أَشْرِقِ. BSB BSB: O LORD, God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, shine forth.
2 GLT ٱرْتَفِعْ يَا دَيَّانَ ٱلْأَرْضِ. جَازِ صَنِيعَ ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ. BSB BSB: Rise up, O Judge of the earth; render a reward to the proud.
3 GLT حَتَّى مَتَى ٱلْخُطَاةُ يَا رَبُّ، حَتَّى مَتَى ٱلْخُطَاةُ يَشْمَتُونَ؟ BSB BSB: How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked exult?
4 GLT يُبِقُّونَ، يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِوَقَاحَةٍ. كُلُّ فَاعِلِي ٱلْإِثْمِ يَفْتَخِرُونَ. BSB BSB: They pour out arrogant words; all workers of iniquity boast.
5 GLT يَسْحَقُونَ شَعْبَكَ يَا رَبُّ، وَيُذِلُّونَ مِيرَاثَكَ. BSB BSB: They crush Your people, O LORD; they oppress Your heritage.
6 GLT يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلْأَرْمَلَةَ وَٱلْغَرِيبَ، وَيُمِيتُونَ ٱلْيَتِيمَ. BSB BSB: They kill the widow and the foreigner; they murder the fatherless.
7 GLT وَيَقُولُونَ: «ٱلرَّبُّ لَا يُبْصِرُ، وَإِلَهُ يَعْقُوبَ لَا يُلَاحِظُ». BSB BSB: They say, “The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob pays no heed.”
8 GLT اِفْهَمُوا أَيُّهَا ٱلْبُلَدَاءُ فِي ٱلشَّعْبِ، وَيَا جُهَلَاءُ مَتَى تَعْقِلُونَ؟ BSB BSB: Take notice, O senseless among the people! O fools, when will you be wise?
9 GLT ٱلْغَارِسُ ٱلْأُذُنِ أَلَا يَسْمَعُ؟ ٱلصَّانِعُ ٱلْعَيْنَ أَلَا يُبْصِرُ؟ BSB BSB: He who affixed the ear, can He not hear? He who formed the eye, can He not see?
10 GLT ٱلْمُؤَدِّبُ ٱلْأُمَمَ أَلَا يُبَكِّتُ؟ ٱلْمُعَلِّمُ ٱلْإِنْسَانَ مَعْرِفَةً. BSB BSB: He who admonishes the nations, does He not discipline? He who teaches man, does He lack knowledge?
11 GLT ٱلرَّبُّ يَعْرِفُ أَفْكَارَ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ أَنَّهَا بَاطِلَةٌ. BSB BSB: The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.
12 GLT طُوبَى لِلرَّجُلِ ٱلَّذِي تُؤَدِّبُهُ يَا رَبُّ، وَتُعَلِّمُهُ مِنْ شَرِيعَتِكَ BSB BSB: Blessed is the man You discipline, O LORD, and teach from Your law,
13 GLT لِتُرِيحَهُ مِنْ أَيَّامِ ٱلشَّرِّ، حَتَّى تُحْفَرَ لِلشِّرِّيرِ حُفْرَةٌ. BSB BSB: to grant him relief from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 GLT لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ لَا يَرْفُضُ شَعْبَهُ، وَلَا يَتْرُكُ مِيرَاثَهُ. BSB BSB: For the LORD will not forsake His people; He will never abandon His heritage.
15 GLT لِأَنَّهُ إِلَى ٱلْعَدْلِ يَرْجِعُ ٱلْقَضَاءُ، وَعَلَى أَثَرِهِ كُلُّ مُسْتَقِيمِي ٱلْقُلُوبِ. BSB BSB: Surely judgment will again be righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 GLT مَنْ يَقُومُ لِي عَلَى ٱلْمُسِيئِينَ؟ مَنْ يَقِفُ لِي ضِدَّ فَعَلَةِ ٱلْإِثْمِ؟ BSB BSB: Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 GLT لَوْلَا أَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ مُعِينِي، لَسَكَنَتْ نَفْسِي سَرِيعًا أَرْضَ ٱلسُّكُوتِ. BSB BSB: Unless the LORD had been my helper, I would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.
18 GLT إِذْ قُلْتُ: «قَدْ زَلَّتْ قَدَمِي» فَرَحْمَتُكَ يَا رَبُّ تَعْضُدُنِي. BSB BSB: If I say, “My foot is slipping,” Your loving devotion, O LORD, supports me.
19 GLT عِنْدَ كَثْرَةِ هُمُومِي فِي دَاخِلِي، تَعْزِيَاتُكَ تُلَذِّذُ نَفْسِي. BSB BSB: When anxiety overwhelms me, Your consolation delights my soul.
20 GLT هَلْ يُعَاهِدُكَ كُرْسِيُّ ٱلْمَفَاسِدِ، ٱلْمُخْتَلِقُ إِثْمًا عَلَى فَرِيضَةٍ؟ BSB BSB: Can a corrupt throne be Your ally—one devising mischief by decree?
21 GLT يَزْدَحِمُونَ عَلَى نَفْسِ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ، وَيَحْكُمُونَ عَلَى دَمٍ زَكِيٍّ. BSB BSB: They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
22 GLT فَكَانَ ٱلرَّبُّ لِي صَرْحًا، وَإِلَهِي صَخْرَةَ مَلْجَإِي. BSB BSB: But the LORD has been my stronghold, and my God is my rock of refuge.
23 GLT وَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِثْمَهُمْ، وَبِشَرِّهِمْ يُفْنِيهِمْ. يُفْنِيهِمُ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُنَا. BSB BSB: He will bring upon them their own iniquity and destroy them for their wickedness. The LORD our God will destroy them.
