1 GLT وَأَمَّا أَنْتَ فَتَكَلَّمْ بِمَا يَلِيقُ بِٱلتَّعْلِيمِ ٱلصَّحِيحِ: BSB BSB: But as for you, speak the things that are consistent with sound doctrine.
2 GLT أَنْ يَكُونَ ٱلْأَشْيَاخُ: صَاحِينَ، ذَوِي وَقَارٍ، مُتَعَقِّلِينَ، أَصِحَّاءَ فِي ٱلْإِيمَانِ وَٱلْمَحَبَّةِ وَٱلصَّبْرِ. BSB BSB: Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, and sound in faith, love, and perseverance.
3 GLT كَذَلِكَ ٱلْعَجَائِزُ: فِي سِيرَةٍ تَلِيقُ بِٱلْقَدَاسَةِ، غَيْرَ ثَالِبَاتٍ، غَيْرَ مُسْتَعْبَدَاتٍ لِلْخَمْرِ ٱلْكَثِيرِ، مُعَلِّمَاتٍ ٱلصَّلَاحَ، BSB BSB: Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good.
4 GLT لِكَيْ يَنْصَحْنَ ٱلْحَدَثَاتِ أَنْ يَكُنَّ مُحِبَّاتٍ لِرِجَالِهِنَّ وَيُحْبِبْنَ أَوْلَادَهُنَّ، BSB BSB: In this way they can train the young women to love their husbands and children,
5 GLT مُتَعَقِّلَاتٍ، عَفِيفَاتٍ، مُلَازِمَاتٍ بُيُوتَهُنَّ، صَالِحَاتٍ، خَاضِعَاتٍ لِرِجَالِهِنَّ، لِكَيْ لَا يُجَدَّفَ عَلَى كَلِمَةِ ٱللهِ. BSB BSB: to be self-controlled, pure, managers of their households, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be discredited.
6 GLT كَذَلِكَ عِظِ ٱلْأَحْدَاثَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مُتَعَقِّلِينَ، BSB BSB: In the same way, urge the younger men to be self-controlled.
7 GLT مُقَدِّمًا نَفْسَكَ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قُدْوَةً لِلْأَعْمَالِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ، وَمُقَدِّمًا فِي ٱلتَّعْلِيمِ نَقَاوَةً، وَوَقَارًا، وَإِخْلَاصًا، BSB BSB: In everything, show yourself to be an example by doing good works. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,
8 GLT وَكَلَامًا صَحِيحًا غَيْرَ مَلُومٍ، لِكَيْ يُخْزَى ٱلْمُضَادُّ، إِذْ لَيْسَ لَهُ شَيْءٌ رَدِيءٌ يَقُولُهُ عَنْكُمْ. BSB BSB: and wholesome speech that is above reproach, so that anyone who opposes us will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.
9 GLT وَٱلْعَبِيدَ أَنْ يَخْضَعُوا لِسَادَتِهِمْ، وَيُرْضُوهُمْ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، غَيْرَ مُنَاقِضِينَ، BSB BSB: Slaves are to submit to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not argumentative,
10 GLT غَيْرَ مُخْتَلِسِينَ، بَلْ مُقَدِّمِينَ كُلَّ أَمَانَةٍ صَالِحَةٍ، لِكَيْ يُزَيِّنُوا تَعْلِيمَ مُخَلِّصِنَا ٱللهِ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ. BSB BSB: not stealing from them, but showing all good faith, so that in every respect they will adorn the teaching about God our Savior.
12 GLT مُعَلِّمَةً إِيَّانَا أَنْ نُنْكِرَ ٱلْفُجُورَ وَٱلشَّهَوَاتِ ٱلْعَالَمِيَّةَ، وَنَعِيشَ بِٱلتَّعَقُّلِ وَٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَى فِي ٱلْعَالَمِ ٱلْحَاضِرِ، BSB BSB: It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age,
13 GLT مُنْتَظِرِينَ ٱلرَّجَاءَ ٱلْمُبَارَكَ وَظُهُورَ مَجْدِ ٱللهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ وَمُخَلِّصِنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، BSB BSB: as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
14 GLT ٱلَّذِي بَذَلَ نَفْسَهُ لِأَجْلِنَا، لِكَيْ يَفْدِيَنَا مِنْ كُلِّ إِثْمٍ، وَيُطَهِّرَ لِنَفْسِهِ شَعْبًا خَاصًّا غَيُورًا فِي أَعْمَالٍ حَسَنَةٍ. BSB BSB: He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
15 GLT تَكَلَّمْ بِهَذِهِ، وَعِظْ، وَوَبِّخْ بِكُلِّ سُلْطَانٍ. لَا يَسْتَهِنْ بِكَ أَحَدٌ. BSB BSB: Speak these things as you encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
