Jɛ yini nuuŋ yi tɛ tɛ̀ woo biee bi yi tɛ̀ tiiti, tɛ̀ ŋɛŋ yi bɛ lii yisɛŋ, tɛ̀ bichɛ si yi nuuŋ, tɛ̀ koŋ li yi-i bɛ tsáŋ yisɛŋ.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2ASJNtsɛ wuni tɛ̀ yenɛ tɛ ŋɛŋ wu, tɛ se tuu tɛ tiiti kii wu, tɛ fenjisi baa li be-eŋ kii ntsɛ wu kimakɛ wuni wu tɛ̀ nuuŋ bɛ Baa we, wu se yenɛ li bee li.BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.

Kintaashɛ kisɛŋ nuuŋ bee bɛ Baa wusɛŋ bɛ Ŋwani wu Jiso Krai.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

5. 5ASJWuni nuuŋ ntoŋ wu tɛ tɛ̀ woo li wuu, tɛ se laŋini li be-eŋ le, Nyɔ nuuŋ kiŋ'wofu, kijibɛ nuuŋ yɛ li yi-i kɛ dududu.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6ASJBɛdɛɛni, ɛ tɛ kweŋgi le tɛ baa li kintaashɛ-ɛ bɛ yi, tɛ se tuu tɛ deŋgi nuuŋ li kijibɛ-ɛ, kɛ tɛ sɛɛyi baa binsɛɛ, tɛ tsiiŋ yɛ tɛ biki chɛɛŋ kɛ.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7ASJSe nuuŋ le, ɛ tɛ deŋgi li kiŋ'wofu linti si nuuŋ tɛ li kiŋ'wofu linti lɛ, kɛ tɛ gii tɛ ni tɛ nuuŋ li kintaashɛ wi bee wi, ŋgɔŋ mɛ Jiso wu Ŋwanɛwi tsootsi tɛɛbeŋ tɛ wuuti li bibifi bisɛ-ɛŋ bichu.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8ASJƐ tɛɛbeŋ kweŋgi le tɛ kɛmi yɛ bibifi kɛ, kɛ tɛ yɛŋgi baa bɛ yí yisɛŋ, kɛ chɛɛŋ nuuŋ yɛ li tɛɛbeŋ kɛ.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9ASJSe nuuŋ le, ɛ tɛ jiishi bibifi bisɛŋ li wu-u, si nuuŋ wi wu ti lemi li jɛ ye-e feti biee tsaaŋ lɛ, kɛ gii feeki bibifi bisɛŋ, tsootsɛ bee, tɛɛbeŋ tɛ ni tɛ wuuti li biŋge bisɛŋ bichu bi ti nuuŋ yɛ tsaaŋ kɛ.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10ASJƐ tɛɛbeŋ kweŋgi le tɛ mɛɛŋ baa ki fɛ kɛ bibifi kɛ, kɛ tɛ dzɔ baa yi le yi yɛɛ wi wu binsɛɛ, jɛ ye kɛmi yɛ kintsii li yí yi sɛ-ɛŋ kɛ.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
