3 ULB যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: যে, এই নগৰ অৱশ্যে বাবিলৰ ৰজাৰ সৈন্য-সামন্তৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰা হ’ব আৰু তেওঁ তাক হাত কৰি ল’ব।” BSB BSB: This is what the LORD says: This city will surely be delivered into the hands of the army of the king of Babylon, and he will capture it.”
4 ULB তাতে প্ৰধান লোকসকলে ৰজাক ক’লে, “আমি মিনতি কৰোঁ, এই মানুহৰ প্ৰাণ দণ্ড কৰিবলৈ আজ্ঞ দিয়ক; কিয়নো তেওঁ লোকসকলক এনেকুৱা কথা কৈ, এই নগৰৰ অৱশিষ্ট যুদ্ধাৰুসকলৰ আৰু আটাই প্ৰজাসকলৰ হাত দুৰ্ব্বল কৰিছে, কাৰণ এই মানুহে এই জাতিৰ মঙ্গললৈ চেষ্টা নকৰি, কেৱল অমঙ্গললৈ চেষ্টা কৰে।” BSB BSB: Then the officials said to the king, “This man ought to die, for he is discouraging the warriors who remain in this city, as well as all the people, by speaking such words to them; this man is not seeking the well-being of these people, but their ruin.”

They lowered Jeremiah with ropes into the cistern, which had no water but only mud, and Jeremiah sank down into the mud.
7 ULB এনেতে যিৰিমিয়াক কূপত পেলোৱা কথা ৰাজগৃহত থকা এবদ-মেলক নামেৰে এজন কূচ দেশীয় নপুংসকে শুনিলে। তেতিয়া ৰজা বিন্যামীনৰ দুৱাৰত বহি আছিল। BSB BSB: Now Ebed-melech the Cushite, a court official in the royal palace, heard that Jeremiah had been put into the cistern. While the king was sitting at the Gate of Benjamin,
8 ULB এবদ-মেলকে ৰাজগৃহৰ পৰা ওলাই গৈ ৰজাক ক’লে, BSB BSB: Ebed-melech went out from the king’s palace and said to the king,
9 ULB “হে মোৰ প্ৰভু মহাৰাজ, সেই লোকসকলে যিৰিমিয়া ভাববাদীক কূপত পেলাই দি তেওঁলৈ নিতান্ত মন্দ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিছে; তেওঁ যি ঠাইত আছে, সেই ঠাইত তেওঁ ভোকত মৰিব লগীয়া হৈছে, কিয়নো নগৰত আৰু ৰুটী নাই।” BSB BSB: “My lord the king, these men have acted wickedly in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet. They have dropped him into the cistern, where he will starve to death, for there is no more bread in the city.”

From there he took old rags and worn-out clothes and lowered them with ropes to Jeremiah in the cistern.

14 ULB পাছে চিদিকিয়া ৰজাই মানুহ পঠিয়াই যিৰিমিয়া ভাববাদীক যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ তৃতীয় প্ৰৱেশস্থানলৈ নিজৰ ওচৰলৈ অনোৱালে। আৰু ৰজাই যিৰিমিয়াক ক’লে, “মই তোমাক এটি কথা সোধোঁ, তুমি মোৰ পৰা কোনো কথা গুপুতে নাৰাখিবা।” BSB BSB: Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and received him at the third entrance to the house of the LORD. “I am going to ask you something,” said the king to Jeremiah. “Do not hide anything from me.”

17 ULB তেতিয়া যিৰিমিয়াই চিদিকিয়াক ক’লে, “বাহিনীসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: যে, তুমি যদি বাহিৰ ওলাই বাবিলৰ ৰজাৰ প্ৰধান লোকসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ যোৱা, তেন্তে তোমাৰ প্ৰাণ থাকিব, আৰু এই নগৰ জুইৰে পোৰা নহ’ব আৰু তুমি সপৰিবাৰে জীয়াই থাকিবা। BSB BSB: Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, “This is what the LORD God of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘If you indeed surrender to the officers of the king of Babylon, then you will live, this city will not be burned down, and you and your household will survive.
18 ULB কিন্তু যদি বাবিলৰ ৰজাৰ প্ৰধান লোকসকলৰ গুৰিলৈ নোযোৱা, তেন্তে এই নগৰ কলদীয়াসকলৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰা হ’ব আৰু তেওঁলোকে ইয়াক জুইৰে পুৰি পেলাব আৰু তুমিও তেওঁলোকৰ হাতৰ পৰা উদ্ধাৰ নাপাবা। BSB BSB: But if you do not surrender to the officers of the king of Babylon, then this city will be delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans. They will burn it down, and you yourself will not escape their grasp.’”
19 ULB তেতিয়া চিদিকিয়া ৰজাই যিৰিমিয়াক ক’লে, “যি যিহূদী লোকসকল কলদীয়াসকলৰ ফলিয়া হৈ গ’ল, তেওঁলোকলৈ মই ভয় ক’ৰোঁ, যে, কিজানি তেওঁলোকে মোক তেওঁলোকৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰিব, তাতে তেওঁলোকে মোক বিদ্ৰূপ কৰিব।” BSB BSB: But King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, “I am afraid of the Jews who have deserted to the Chaldeans, for the Chaldeans may deliver me into their hands to abuse me.”

Your feet sank into the mire, and they deserted you.’

And you yourself will not escape their grasp, for you will be seized by the king of Babylon, and this city will be burned down.”

So they said no more to him, for no one had overheard the conversation.
28 ULB তেতিয়াৰে পৰা যিৰূচালেম শত্রুৰ হাতত পৰা দিন নোহোৱালৈকে যিৰিমিয়া সেই প্ৰহৰীৰ চোতালত থকিল। BSB BSB: And Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard until the day Jerusalem was captured.
