6 ULB তোমাদের অহঙ্কার করা ভাল নয়। তোমরা কি জান না যে, অল্প খামির ময়দার সমস্ত তালকে খামিরে পূর্ণ করে ফেলে। BSB BSB: Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven works through the whole batch of dough?
8 ULB অতএব এসো, আমরা পুরনো খামির দিয়ে নয়, হিংসা ও মন্দতার খামির দিয়ে নয়, কিন্তু সরলতার ও সত্য খামির বিহীন রুটি দিয়ে পর্বটি পালন করি। BSB BSB: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with the old bread, leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and of truth.
9 ULB আমি আমার চিঠিতে তোমাদেরকে লিখেছিলাম যে, ব্যভিচারীদের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক না রাখতে; BSB BSB: I wrote you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.
10 ULB এই জগতের ব্যভিচারী, কি লোভী, কি (পরধনগ্রাহী) যে জোর করে পরের সম্পত্তি গ্রহণ করে, কি প্রতিমা পূজারীদের সঙ্গে একেবারে সম্পর্ক রাখবেনা, তা নয়, কারণ তা করতে হলে তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীর বাইরে যেতে হবে। BSB BSB: I was not including the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.
11 ULB কিন্তু এখন তোমাদেরকে লিখছি যে, কোন ব্যক্তি বিশ্বাসী ভাই হয়ে যদি, ব্যভিচারী, কি লোভী, কি প্রতিমা পূজারী, কি কটুভাষী, কি মাতাল, কি কি (অত্যাচারী) যে জোর করে পরের সম্পত্তি গ্রহণ করে, তবে তার সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক রাখতে নেই, এমন ব্যক্তির সঙ্গে খাবারও খেতে নেই। BSB BSB: But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
12 ULB কারণ বাইরের লোকদের বিচারে আমার কি লাভ? মণ্ডলীর ভিতরের লোকদের বিচার কি তোমরা কর না? BSB BSB: What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
13 ULB কিন্তু বাইরের লোকদের বিচার ঈশ্বর করবেন। তোমরা নিজেদের মধ্যে থেকে সেই মন্দ ব্যক্তিকে বের করে দাও। BSB BSB: God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”
