12 ULB মোশির বইয়ে লেখা আদেশ অনুযায়ী সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে উৎসর্গ করবার জন্য তারা প্রত্যেক বংশের বিভিন্ন ভাগের লোকদের দেবার জন্য পোড়ানো উৎসর্গের জিনিস সরিয়ে রাখল। ষাঁড়ের বেলায়ও তারা তাই করল। BSB BSB: They set aside the burnt offerings to be given to the divisions of the families of the people to offer to the LORD, as it is written in the Book of Moses. And they did the same with the bulls.
13 ULB নিয়ম অনুসারে তারা নিস্তারপর্বের মেষগুলি আগুনে ঝল্সে নিল এবং বলির মাংস ডেকচি, কড়াই ও হাঁড়িতে সিদ্ধ করল আর তাড়াতাড়ি করে লোকদের খেতে দিল। BSB BSB: They roasted the Passover animals on the fire according to the regulation, and they boiled the other holy offerings in pots, kettles, and bowls and quickly brought them to all the people.

17 ULB যে সব ইস্রায়েলীয় উপস্থিত ছিল তারা সেই সময় নিস্তারপর্ব এবং সাত দিন ধরে খামির বিহীন রুটির পর্ব পালন করল। BSB BSB: The Israelites who were present also observed the Passover at that time, as well as the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days.
18 ULB ভাববাদী শমূয়েলের পর থেকে আর কখনও ইস্রায়েলে এইভাবে নিস্তারপর্ব পালন করা হয়নি। যাজক, লেবীয় এবং যিরূশালেমের লোকদের সঙ্গে উপস্থিত যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত লোকদের নিয়ে যোশিয় যেভাবে নিস্তারপর্ব পালন করেছিলেন ইস্রায়েলের রাজাদের মধ্যে আর কেউ তেমনভাবে পালন করেননি। BSB BSB: No such Passover had been observed in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet. None of the kings of Israel ever observed a Passover like the one that Josiah observed with the priests, the Levites, all Judah, the Israelites who were present, and the people of Jerusalem.
19 ULB যোশিয়ের রাজত্বের আঠারো বছরের সময় এই নিস্তারপর্ব পালন করা হয়েছিল। BSB BSB: In the eighteenth year of Josiah’s reign, this Passover was observed.
21 ULB কিন্তু নখো রাজদূত পাঠিয়ে তাঁকে বললেন, “হে যিহূদার রাজা, আপনার সঙ্গে আমার কি করে হবে? আজ আমি যে আপনার সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করতে আসছি তা নয়, কিন্তু আক্রমণ করছি সেই লোকদের যাদের সঙ্গে আমার যুদ্ধ বেধেছে। ঈশ্বর আমাকে তাড়াতাড়ি করতে আদেশ করেছেন, সুতরাং ঈশ্বর যিনি আমার সঙ্গে আছেন আপনি তাঁকে বাধা দেবেন না, নাহলে তিনি আপনাকে ধ্বংস করবেন।” BSB BSB: But Neco sent messengers to him, saying, “What is the issue between you and me, O king of Judah? I have not come against you today, but I am fighting another dynasty, and God has told me to hurry. So stop opposing God, who is with me, or He will destroy you!”
22 ULB যদিও যোশিয় ফিরে যেতে অস্বীকার করলেন, বরং তাঁর সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করবার জন্য ভিন্ন পোশাকে নিজেকে সাজালেন। ঈশ্বরের আদেশ মত নখো তাঁকে যা বললেন তাতে তিনি না শুনে মগিদ্দোর সমভূমিতে তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে গেলেন। BSB BSB: Josiah, however, did not turn away from him; instead, in order to engage him in battle, he disguised himself. He did not listen to Neco’s words from the mouth of God, but went to fight him on the Plain of Megiddo.
23 ULB তখন ধনুকধারীরা রাজা যোশিয়কে তীর মারলে তিনি তাঁর দাসদের বললেন, “আমাকে নিয়ে যাও, আমি অনেক আঘাত পেয়েছি।” BSB BSB: There the archers shot King Josiah, who said to his servants, “Take me away, for I am badly wounded!”
