1 ULB আমরা জানি যে, এই পৃথিবীতে যে তাঁবুতে বাস করি অর্থাৎ যে দেহে থাকি সেটি যদি নষ্ট হয়ে যায় তবে ঈশ্বরের তৈরী আমাদের জন্য একটা ঘর আছে সেটি মানুষের হাতে তৈরী নয় কিন্তু অনন্তকালস্থায়ী যা স্বর্গে আছে। BSB BSB: For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
2 ULB এই দৈহিক শরীরে আমরা যন্ত্রণায় চীত্কার করছি এবং সমস্ত অন্তকরণ দিয়ে ইচ্ছা করছি যে স্বর্গের সেই দেহ দিয়ে আমাদের ঢেকে দিক; BSB BSB: For in this tent we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling,
3 ULB কারণ আমরা যখন সেটা পরব তখন আর উলঙ্গ থাকব না। BSB BSB: because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.
4 ULB আর এটা সত্যি যে আমরা এই জীবনে কষ্ট পাচ্ছি ও যন্ত্রণায় চীত্কার করছি; কারণ আমরা বস্ত্র বিহীন হতে চাই না, কিন্তু সেই নতুন বস্ত্র পরতে চাই, যাতে মৃত্যুর অধীনে থাকা দেহ যেন জীবিত থাকা দেহে বদলে যায়। BSB BSB: For while we are in this tent, we groan under our burdens, because we do not wish to be unclothed but clothed, so that our mortality may be swallowed up by life.
5 ULB যিনি আমাদের এই জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছেন তিনি হলেন ঈশ্বর, আর তিনি বায়না হিসাবে আমাদের পবিত্র আত্মা দিয়েছেন। BSB BSB: And it is God who has prepared us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a pledge of what is to come.
6 ULB সেইজন্য আমরা সবসময় সাহস করছি, আর আমরা জানি যে, যত দিন এই দেহে বাস করছি ততদিন প্রভুর থেকে দূরে আছি; BSB BSB: Therefore we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord.
7 ULB কারণ আমরা বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে চলাফেরা করি, যা দেখা যায় তার মাধ্যমে নয়। BSB BSB: For we walk by faith, not by sight.
9 ULB সেইজন্য আমাদের লক্ষ্য হলো, আমরা ঘরে বাস করি কিংবা প্রবাসী হই যেন, তাঁকেই খুশী করি। BSB BSB: So we aspire to please Him, whether we are at home in this body or away from it.
10 ULB কারণ অবশ্যই আমাদের সবাইকে খ্রীষ্টের বিচার আসনের সামনে হাজির হতে হবে, যেন এই দেহে থাকতে যা কিছু করেছি তা ভালো কাজ হোক বা খারাপ কাজ হোক সেই হিসাবে আমরা সবাই সেই মত ফল পাই। BSB BSB: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad.
11 ULB অতএব প্রভুর ভয় যে কি সেটা জানাবার জন্য আমরা মানুষকে বোঝাবার চেষ্টা করছি। আমরা যে কি তা ঈশ্বর স্পষ্ট জানেন এবং আমার আশা তোমাদের বিবেকের কাছেও সেটা স্পষ্ট হয়ে আছে। BSB BSB: Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is clear to God, and I hope it is clear to your conscience as well.
12 ULB আমরা আবার তোমাদের কাছে নিজেদেরকে প্রশংসা করছি না কিন্তু তোমরা যেন আমাদের নিয়ে গর্ব করতে পারো তার জন্য কারণ দিচ্ছি, সুতরাং যারা হৃদয় দেখে নয় কিন্তু বাহির দেখে গর্ব করে, তোমরা যেন তাদেরকে উত্তর দিতে পারো। BSB BSB: We are not commending ourselves to you again. Instead, we are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you can answer those who take pride in appearances rather than in the heart.
13 ULB কারণ যদি আমরা হতবুদ্ধি হয়ে থাকি, তবে সেটা ঈশ্বরের জন্য; এবং যদি সুস্থ মনে থাকি তবে সেটা তোমাদের জন্যই। BSB BSB: If we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
14 ULB কারণ খ্রীষ্টের প্রেম আমাদের বশে রেখে চালাচ্ছে; কারণ আমরা ভাল করে বুঝেছি যে, একজন সবার জন্য মৃত্যুবরণ করলেন তাই সবাই মৃত্যুবরণ করল। BSB BSB: For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died.
15 ULB আর খ্রীষ্ট সবার জন্য মৃত্যুবরণ করলেন, যেন, যারা বেঁচে আছে তারা আর নিজেদের জন্য নয় কিন্তু যিনি তাদের জন্য মৃত্যুবরণ করলেন ও উত্থাপিত হলেন তাঁরই জন্য বেঁচে থাকে। BSB BSB: And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
16 ULB আর এই কারণে এখন থেকে আমরা আর কাউকেও মানুষের অনুসারে বিচার করি না; যদিও খ্রীষ্টকে একসময় মানুষের অনুসারে বিচার করেছিলাম, কিন্তু এখন আর কাউকে এইভাবে বিচার করি না। BSB BSB: So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
17 ULB সাধারণত, যদি কেউ খ্রীষ্টেতে থাকে, তবে সে নতুন ভাবে সৃষ্টি হয়েছে; তার পুরানো বিষয়গুলি শেষ হয়ে গেছে, দেখ, সেগুলি নতুন হয়ে উঠেছে। BSB BSB: Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
20 ULB সুতরাং খ্রীষ্টের রাজদূত হিসাবে আমরা তাঁর কাজ করছি; আর ঈশ্বর যেন আমাদের মাধ্যমে নিজেই তাঁর অনুরোধ করছেন, আমরা খ্রীষ্টের হয়ে এই বিনতি করছি যে তোমরাও ঈশ্বরের সঙ্গে মিলিত হও। BSB BSB: Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.
