4 ULB তিনি সকালের, সূর্য্যোদয়ের সময়, মেঘ বিহীন সকালের আলোর মত হবেন; যখন বৃষ্টির পরে প্রাণ পাওয়া পৃথিবী থেকে নতুন ঘাস গজিয়ে ওঠে৷ BSB BSB: is like the light of the morning at sunrise of a cloudless dawn, the glistening after the rain on the sprouting grass of the earth.’
5 ULB ঈশ্বরের কাছে আমার বংশ কি সেই রকম নয়? হ্যাঁ, তিনি আমার সঙ্গে এক অনন্তকালীন নিয়ম করেছেন; তা সব বিষয়ে সুসম্পন্ন ও সুরক্ষিত; এটা তো আমার সম্পূর্ণ উদ্ধার ও সমস্ত বাসনা; তিনি কি তা বাড়িয়ে তুলবেন না? BSB BSB: Is not my house right with God? For He has established with me an everlasting covenant, ordered and secured in every part. Will He not bring about my full salvation and my every desire?
6 ULB কিন্তু নিষ্ঠুরেরা সকলে খোঁচা দেওয়া কাঁটা; কাঁটা তো হাতে ধরা যায় না৷ BSB BSB: But the worthless are all like thorns raked aside, for they can never be gathered by hand.
7 ULB যে পুরুষ তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করবেন, তিনি প্রেক ও বড়শার শাস্তি দেবেন৷ পরে তারা নিজের জায়গায় আগুনে ভস্মীভূত হবে’৷” BSB BSB: The man who touches them must be armed with iron or with the shaft of a spear. The fire burns them to ashes in the place where they lie.”
8 ULB দায়ূদের বীরেদের নামের তালিকা৷ তখ-মোনীয় যোশেব-বশেবৎ সৈন্যদলের প্রধান ছিলেন; ইসনীয় আদীনো, তিনি এককালে আটশো লোকের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করছিলেন৷ BSB BSB: These are the names of David’s mighty men: Josheb-basshebeth the Tahchemonite was chief of the Three. He wielded his spear against eight hundred men, whom he killed at one time.
9 ULB তাঁর পরে একজন অহোহীয়ের সন্তান দোদয়ের ছেলে ইলিয়াসর; তিনি দায়ূদের সঙ্গী বীরএয়ের একজন; তাঁরা পলেষ্টীয়দেরকে টিটকারী দিলে পলেষ্টীয়েরা যুদ্ধের জন্য সেখানে জড়ো হল এবং ইস্রায়েলের লোকেরা কাছে আসছিল, BSB BSB: Next in command was Eleazar son of Dodo the Ahohite. As one of the three mighty men, he went with David to taunt the Philistines who had gathered for battle at Pas-dammim. The men of Israel retreated,

The LORD brought about a great victory that day. Then the troops returned to him, but only to plunder the dead.
11 ULB তারপরে হরারীয় আগির ছেলে শম্ম; পলেষ্টীয়রা এক মসূরক্ষেতের কাছে জড়ো হয়ে দল বাঁধলে যখন লোকেরা পলেষ্টীয়দের থেকে পালিয়ে গেল, BSB BSB: And after him was Shammah son of Agee the Hararite. When the Philistines had banded together near a field full of lentils, Israel’s troops fled from them.
12 ULB তখন শম্ম সেই ক্ষেতের মধ্যে দাঁড়িয়ে তা উদ্ধার করলেন এবং পলেষ্টীয়দেরকে হত্যা করলেন; আর সদাপ্রভু মহাজয় তাদেরকে দিলেন৷ BSB BSB: But Shammah took his stand in the middle of the field, defended it, and struck down the Philistines. So the LORD brought about a great victory.
13 ULB আর ত্রিশজন প্রধানের মধ্যে তিনজন ফসল কাটার সময়ে অদুল্লম গুহাতে দায়ূদের কাছে এলেন; তখন পলেষ্টীয়দের সৈন্য রফায়ীম উপত্যকায় শিবির স্থাপন করেছিল৷ BSB BSB: At harvest time, three of the thirty chief men went down to David at the cave of Adullam, while a company of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.
14 ULB আর দায়ূদ সুরক্ষিত জায়গায় ছিলেন এবং পলেষ্টীয়দের পাহারায় নিযুক্ত সৈন্যদল বৈৎলেহমে ছিল৷ BSB BSB: At that time David was in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was at Bethlehem.
15 ULB পরে দায়ূদ পিপাসিত হয়ে বললেন, “হায়৷ কে আমাকে বৈৎলেহমের ফটকের কাছের কূপের জল এনে পান করতে দেবে?” BSB BSB: David longed for water and said, “Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!”
16 ULB তাতে ঐ বীরত্রয় পলেষ্টীয় সৈন্যের মধ্য দিয়ে গিয়ে বৈৎলেহমে ফটকের কাছের কূপের জল তুলে দায়ূদের কাছে আসলেন, কিন্তু তিনি তা পান করতে রাজি হলেন না, সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে ঢেলে ফেললেন; BSB BSB: So the three mighty men broke through the Philistine camp, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem, and brought it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out to the LORD,
17 ULB তিনি বললেন, “হে সদাপ্রভু, এমন কাজ যেন আমি না করি; এটা কি সেই মানুষদের রক্ত নয়, যারা প্রাণপণে গিয়েছিল;” অতএব তিনি তা পান করতে রাজি হলেন না৷ ঐ বীরত্রয় এই সকল কাজ করেছিলেন৷ BSB BSB: saying, “Far be it from me, O LORD, to do this! Is this not the blood of the men who risked their lives?” So he refused to drink it. Such were the exploits of the three mighty men.
18 ULB আর সরূয়ার ছেলে যোয়াবের ভাই অবীশয় সেই তিন জনের মধ্যে প্রধান ছিলেন৷ তিনি তিনশো লোকের উপরে নিজের বড়শা চালিয়ে তাদেরকে হত্যা করলেন ও নরত্রয়ের মধ্যে বিখ্যাত হলেন৷ BSB BSB: Now Abishai, the brother of Joab and son of Zeruiah, was chief of the Three, and he wielded his spear against three hundred men, killed them, and won a name along with the Three.
19 ULB তিনি কি সেই তিনজনের মধ্যে বেশি মর্য্যাদা সম্পন্ন ছিলেন না? এই জন্য তাঁদের সেনাপতি হলেন, তবে প্রথম নরত্রয়ের মত ছিলেন না৷ BSB BSB: Was he not more honored than the Three? And he became their commander, even though he was not included among the Three.
20 ULB আর কবসেলীয় এক বীরের সন্তান যিহোয়াদার ছেলে যে বনায় যিনি অনেক মহান কাজ করেছিলেন, তিনি মোয়াবীয় অরীয়েলের দুই ছেলেকে হত্যা করলেন; সেটা ছাড়াও তিনি বরফ পরার সময়ে গর্তের মধ্যে একটা সিংহকে মারলেন৷ BSB BSB: And Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a man of valor from Kabzeel, a man of many exploits. He struck down two champions of Moab, and on a snowy day he went down into a pit and killed a lion.
21 ULB আর তিনি একজন সুপুরুষ মিস্রীয়কে হত্যা করলেন৷ সেই মিস্রীয়ের হাতে এক বড়শা এবং তাঁর হাতে এক লাঠি ছিল; পরে তিনি গিয়ে সেই মিস্রীয়দের হাত থেকে বড়শাটী কেড়ে নিয়ে তার বড়শা দ্বারা তাকে হত্যা করলেন৷ BSB BSB: He also struck down an Egyptian, a huge man. Although the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club, snatched the spear from his hand, and killed the Egyptian with his own spear.
22 ULB যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায় এই সব কাজ করলেন, তাতে তিনি বীরত্রয়ের মধ্যে খ্যাতনামা হলেন৷ BSB BSB: These were the exploits of Benaiah son of Jehoiada, who won a name along with the three mighty men.
23 ULB তিনি ঐ ত্রিশ জনের থেকেও মর্য্যাদা সম্পন্ন, কিন্তু প্রথম নরত্রয়ের সমান ছিলেন না; দায়ূদ তাঁকে নিজের সেনাবাহিনীর শাসনকর্তা করলেন৷ BSB BSB: He was most honored among the Thirty, but he did not become one of the Three. And David appointed him over his guard.
24 ULB যোয়াবের ভাই অসাহেল ঐ ত্রিশের মধ্যে একজন ছিলেন; বৈৎলেহমের দোদয়ের ছেলে ইলহানান, BSB BSB: Now these were members of the Thirty: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
