4 ULB কিন্তু পিতর তখন তাঁদের আগের ঘটনা ভালভাবে বুঝিয়ে দিলেন, BSB BSB: But Peter began and explained to them the whole sequence of events:
5 ULB বললেন, 'আমি যাফো নগরে প্রার্থনা করছিলাম, এমন সময় অভিভূত অবস্থায় এক দর্শন পেলাম, দেখলাম, একটি বড় চাদরের মত কোনও পাত্র নেমে আসছে, যার চারকোণ ধরে আকাশ থেকে নামিয়ে দেওয়া হচ্ছে এবং সেটা আমার কাছে এলো। BSB BSB: “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision of something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came right down to me.

7 ULB আর আমি একটি আওয়াজও শুনলাম, যা আমাকে বলল, ওঠ, পিতর, মারো, আর খাও। BSB BSB: Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter, kill and eat.’
8 ULB কিন্তু আমি বললাম, প্রভু, এমন না হোক; কারণ অপবিত্র কিংবা অশুচি কোনও জিনিসই আমি খাইনি। BSB BSB: ‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’
9 ULB কিন্তু দ্বিতীয়বার আকাশ থেকে এই বাণী হলো, ঈশ্বর যা শুচি করেছেন, তুমি তাদের অশুচি বলও না। BSB BSB: But the voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’
10 ULB এমন তিনবার হলে; পরে সে সমস্ত আবার আকাশে টেনে নিয়ে গেল। BSB BSB: This happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into heaven.
11 ULB আর দেখলাম, খুব তাড়াতাড়ি তিনজন পুরুষ, যে বাড়িতে আমরা ছিলাম, সেখানে এসে দাঁড়ালো; কৈসরিয়া থেকে আমার কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছিল। BSB BSB: Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.
12 ULB আর আত্মা আমাকে সন্দেহ না করে তাদের সঙ্গে যেতে বললেন। আর এই ছয়জন ভাইও আমার সঙ্গে গেলেন। পরে আমরা সেই লোকটী বাড়িতে গেলাম। BSB BSB: The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s home.
14 ULB সে তোমাকে এমন কথা বলবে, যার দ্বারা তুমি ও তোমার সমস্ত পরিবার মুক্তি পাবে। BSB BSB: He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’
15 ULB পরে আমি কথা বলতে শুরু করলে, তাদের উপরেও পবিত্র আত্মা এসেছিলেন, যেমন আমাদের উপরে শুরুতে হয়েছিল। BSB BSB: As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as He had fallen upon us at the beginning.
16 ULB তাতে প্রভুর কথা আমাদের মনে পড়ল, যেমন তিনি বলেছিলেন, 'যোহন জলে বাপ্তিষ্ম দিত, কিন্তু তোমরা পবিত্র আত্মার বাপ্তিষ্ম পাবে।' BSB BSB: Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

18 ULB এই সব কথা শুনে তাঁরা চুপ করে থাকলেন এবং ঈশ্বরের গৌরব করলেন, বললেন, তাহলে তো ঈশ্বর অযিহূদীর লোকদেরও জীবনের জন্য মন পরিবর্তনের সুযোগ করে দিয়েছেন। BSB BSB: When they heard this, they had no further objections, and they glorified God, saying, “So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.”
19 ULB ইতিমধ্যে স্তিফানের মৃত্যর পরে বিশ্বাসীদের প্রতি যে তাড়না হয়েছিল, তার জন্য সকলে যিরূশালেম থেকে চারিদিকে ছড়িয়ে গেল, তারা ফৈনীকিয়া অঞ্চল, কুপ্রদ্বীপ, ও আন্তিয়খিয়া শহর পর্যন্ত চারিদিকে ঘুরে কেবল যিহূদীদের কাছে বাক্য সুসমাচার প্রচার করতে লাগল অন্য কাউকে নয়। BSB BSB: Meanwhile those scattered by the persecution that began with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message only to Jews.
21 ULB আর প্রভুর হাত তাদের ওপরে ছিল এবং অনেক লোক বিশ্বাস করে প্রভুর কাছে ফিরল। BSB BSB: The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
22 ULB পরে তাদের বিষয়ে যিরুশালেমের মণ্ডলীর লোকেরা জানতে পারল; এজন্য এরা আন্তিয়খিয়া পর্যন্ত বার্ণবাকে পাঠালেন। BSB BSB: When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
23 ULB যখন তিনি নিজে এসে ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহ দেখলেন, তিনি আনন্দ করলেন; এবং তিনি তাদেরকে উৎসাহ দিতে লাগলেন যেন তারা সমস্ত সম্পূর্ণ হৃদয় দিয়ে প্রভুতে যুক্ত থাকে; BSB BSB: When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts.
24 ULB কারণ তিনি সৎলোক এবং পবিত্র আত্মায় ও বিশ্বাসে পূর্ণ ছিলেন। আর অনেক লোক প্রভুতে যুক্ত হল। BSB BSB: Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
25 ULB পরে তিনি শৌলের খোঁজে তার্ষে গেলেন। BSB BSB: Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
26 ULB তিনি যখন তাঁকে পেলেন, তিনি তাঁকে আন্তিয়খিয়াতে আনলেন। আর তারা সম্পূর্ণ এক বছর পর্যন্ত মণ্ডলীতে মিলিত হতেন এবং অনেক লোককে শিক্ষা দিতেন; আর প্রথমে আন্তিয়খিয়াতেই শিষ্যেরা 'খ্রিষ্টান' নামে পরিচিত হল। BSB BSB: and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
27 ULB এখন এই সময় কয়েক জন ভাববাদী যিরুশালেম থেকে আন্তিয়খিয়াতে আসলেন। BSB BSB: In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 ULB তাদের মধ্যে আগাব নামে একজন উঠে আত্মার দ্বারা জানালেন যে, সমস্ত পৃথিবীতে এক মহাদূর্ভিক্ষ হবে; সেটা ক্লৌদিয়ের শাসনকালে ঘটল। BSB BSB: One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted through the Spirit that a great famine would sweep across the whole world. (This happened under Claudius.)
29 ULB তাতে শিষ্যেরা, প্রত্যেকে নিজ নিজ সামর্থ্য অনুসারে, যিহুদিয়ার ভাইদের সেবার জন্য সাহায্য পাঠাতে স্থির করলেন; BSB BSB: So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.
30 ULB এবং সেই মত কাজও করলেন, বার্ণবা ও শৌলের হাত দিয়ে প্রাচীনদের কাছে টাকা পাঠিয়ে দিলেন। BSB BSB: This they did, sending their gifts to the elders with Barnabas and Saul.
