1 ULB আমি তোমার সামনে এই যে আশীর্বাদ ও অভিশাপ স্থাপন করলাম, তখন তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু যে সব জাতির মধ্যে তোমাকে তাড়িয়ে দেবেন, সেখানে যদি তুমি মনে চেতনা পাও BSB BSB: “When all these things come upon you—the blessings and curses I have set before you—and you call them to mind in all the nations to which the LORD your God has banished you,
2 ULB এবং তুমি ও তোমার সন্তানরা যদি সম্পূর্ণ হৃদয়ের ও সম্পূর্ণ প্রাণের সঙ্গে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে ফিরে এস এবং আজ আমি তোমাকে যে সব আদেশ দিচ্ছি, সেই অনুসারে যদি তাঁর রবে অবধান কর; BSB BSB: and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey His voice with all your heart and all your soul according to everything I am giving you today,
3 ULB তবে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমার বন্দিত্ব ফেরাবেন, তোমার প্রতি দয়া করবেন ও যে সব জাতির মধ্যে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলেন, সেখান থেকে আবার তোমাকে সংগ্রহ করবেন। BSB BSB: then He will restore you from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you from all the nations to which the LORD your God has scattered you.
4 ULB যদি তোমরা কেউ নির্বাসিত হয়ে আকাশমণ্ডলের প্রান্তে থাক, তা সত্ত্বেও তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু সেখান থেকে তোমাকে সংগ্রহ করবেন ও সেখান থেকে নিয়ে আসবেন। BSB BSB: Even if you have been banished to the farthest horizon, He will gather you and return you from there.
5 ULB আর তোমার পূর্বপুরুষেরা যে দেশ অধিকার করেছিল, তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু সেই দেশে তোমাকে আনবেন ও তুমি তা অধিকার করবে এবং তিনি তোমার ভালো করবেন ও তোমার পূর্বপুরুষদের থেকেও তোমার বহুগুণ করবেন। BSB BSB: And the LORD your God will bring you into the land your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it. He will cause you to prosper and multiply more than your fathers.
6 ULB আর তুমি যেন সমস্ত হৃদয় ও সমস্ত প্রাণের সঙ্গে নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুকে ভালোবেসে জীবন লাভ কর, এই জন্য তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমার হৃদয় ও তোমার বংশের হৃদয় ছিন্নত্বক্ করবেন। BSB BSB: The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love Him with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.
7 ULB আর তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমার শত্রুদের ওপরে ও যারা তোমাকে ঘৃণা করে তাড়না করেছে, তাদের ওপরে এই সমস্ত শাপ দেবেন। BSB BSB: Then the LORD your God will put all these curses upon your enemies who hate you and persecute you.
8 ULB আর তুমি ফিরে সদাপ্রভুর রবে অনুসরণ করবে এবং আমি আজই তোমাকে তাঁর যে সব আদেশ জানাচ্ছি, তা পালন করবে। BSB BSB: And you will again obey the voice of the LORD and follow all His commandments I am giving you today.
9 ULB আর তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু সমৃদ্ধির জন্যেই তোমার হাতের সব কাজে, তোমার শরীরের ফলে, তোমার পশুর ফলে ও তোমার ভূমির ফলে তোমাকে ঐশ্বর্য্যশালী করবেন; যেহেতু সদাপ্রভু তোমার পূর্বপুরুষদের মধ্যেও যেমন আনন্দ করতেন, সমৃদ্ধির জন্যে আবার তোমার মধ্যেও সেরকম আনন্দ করবেন; BSB BSB: So the LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land. Indeed, the LORD will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers,
10 ULB শুধু যদি তুমি এই নিয়মের বইয়ে লেখা তাঁর আদেশ সব ও তাঁর বিধি সব পালনের জন্যে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর রবে মেনে চল, যদি সমস্ত হৃদয় ও সমস্ত প্রাণের সঙ্গে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর প্রতি ফের। BSB BSB: if you obey the LORD your God by keeping His commandments and statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
11 ULB কারণ আমি আজ তোমাকে এই যে আজ্ঞা দিচ্ছি, তা তোমার বোঝার জন্য কঠিন না এবং দূরেও না। BSB BSB: For this commandment I give you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.
12 ULB তা স্বর্গে না যে, তুমি বলবে, আমরা যেন তা পালন করি, এই জন্য কে আমাদের জন্যে স্বর্গে গিয়ে তা এনে আমাদেরকে শুনাবে?’ BSB BSB: It is not in heaven, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’
13 ULB আর তা সমুদ্রের পারেও না যে, তুমি বলবে, ‘আমরা যেন তা পালন করি, এই জন্য কে আমাদের জন্যে সমুদ্র পার হয়ে তা এনে আমাদেরকে শোনাবে?’ BSB BSB: And it is not beyond the sea, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’
14 ULB কিন্তু সেই কথা তোমার খুব কাছে, তা তোমার মুখে ও তোমার হৃদয়ে, যেন তুমি তা পালন করতে পার। BSB BSB: But the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may obey it.
15 ULB দেখ, আমি আজই তোমার সামনে জীবন ও ভালো এবং মৃত্যু ও অমঙ্গল রাখলাম; BSB BSB: See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, as well as death and disaster.
16 ULB যদি আমি আজ তোমাকে এই আজ্ঞা দিচ্ছি যে, তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুকে ভালোবাসতে, তাঁর পথে চলতে এবং তাঁর আজ্ঞা, তাঁর বিধি ও তাঁর শাসন পালন করতে হবে; তা করলে তুমি বাঁচবে ও বহুগুণ হবে এবং যে দেশ অধিকার করতে যাচ্ছে, সেই দেশে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করবেন। BSB BSB: For I am commanding you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
17 ULB কিন্তু যদি তোমার হৃদয় অন্য পথে যায় ও তুমি কথা না শুনে প্রতিসারিত হয়ে অন্য দেবতাদের কাছে নত হও ও তাদের সেবা কর; BSB BSB: But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,
18 ULB তবে আজ আমি তোমাদেরকে জানাচ্ছি, তোমরা অবশ্যই বিনষ্ট হবে, তোমরা অধিকারের জন্যে যে দেশে প্রবেশ করতে যর্দন পার হয়ে যাচ্ছ, সেই দেশে তোমাদের জীবনকাল দীর্ঘদিন হবে না। BSB BSB: I declare to you today that you will surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
19 ULB আমি আজ তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে আকাশমণ্ডল ও পৃথিবীকে সাক্ষী করে বলছি যে, আমি তোমার সামনে জীবন ও মৃত্যু, আশীর্বাদ ও শাপ রাখলাম। অতএব জীবন বেছে নাও, যেন তুমি ও তোমার বংশধর বাঁচতে পার; BSB BSB: I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live,
20 ULB তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুকে ভালবাস, তাঁর রবে মেনে চল ও তাতে আসক্ত হও; কারণ তিনিই তোমার জীবন ও তোমার দীর্ঘআয়ুর মতো; তা হলে সদাপ্রভু তোমার পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে, অব্রাহাম, ইস্হাক ও যাকোবকে, যে দেশ দিতে শপথ করেছিলেন, সেই দেশে তুমি বাস করতে পারবে। BSB BSB: and that you may love the LORD your God, obey Him, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
