1 ULB অতএব এস, আমরা খ্রীষ্টের বিষয়ে প্রথম শিক্ষা ছেড়ে দিয়ে সিদ্ধির চেষ্টায় অগ্রসর হই; পুনরায় এই ভিত্তিমূল স্থাপন না করি, মন্দ বিষয় থেকে মন ফেরানো, ও ঈশ্বরের উপরে বিশ্বাস রাখা, BSB BSB: Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,
2 ULB নানা বাপ্তিষ্ম ও হস্তার্পণের শিক্ষা, মৃতদের পুনরুত্থান ও অনন্তকালীন বিচারের শিক্ষা। BSB BSB: instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
3 ULB ঈশ্বরের অনুমতি হলেই তা করব। BSB BSB: And this we will do, if God permits.
5 ULB এবং ঈশ্বরের বাক্যের ও নতুন যুগের নানা পরাক্রম আস্বাদন করেছে, BSB BSB: who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age—
6 ULB পরে খ্রীষ্ট থেকে দূরে সরে গিয়েছে, পুনরায় তাদেরকে মন পরিবর্তন করতে পারা অসম্ভব; কারণ তারা নিজেদের জন্য ঈশ্বরের পুত্রকে পুনরায় ক্রুশে দেয় ও প্রকাশ্যে নিন্দা করে। BSB BSB: and then have fallen away—to be restored to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame.
7 ULB কারণ যে ভূমি নিজের উপরে বার বার পতিত বৃষ্টি গ্রহণ করে, আর যারা সেই জমি চাষ করে, তাদের জন্য ভালো ফসল উৎপন্ন করে, সেই জমি ঈশ্বর থেকে আশীর্বাদ প্রাপ্ত হয়; BSB BSB: For land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God.
8 ULB কিন্তু যদি এটা কাঁটাবন ও শ্যাকুল উৎপন্ন করে, তবে তা অকর্ম্মণ্য ও অভিশপ্ত হবার ভয় আছে এবং তা আগুনে পুড়ে শেষ হয়ে যাবে। BSB BSB: But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless, and its curse is imminent. In the end it will be burned.
9 ULB প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, যদিও আমরা এরূপ বলছি, তবুও তোমাদের বিষয়ে এমন দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস করছি যে, তোমাদের অবস্থা এর থেকে ভাল এবং পরিত্রাণ সহযুক্ত। BSB BSB: Even though we speak like this, beloved, we are convinced of better things in your case—things that accompany salvation.
10 ULB কারণ ঈশ্বর অন্যায়কারী নন; তোমাদের কাজ এবং তোমরা পবিত্রদের যে পরিষেবা করেছ ও করছ, তাঁর মাধ্যমে তাঁর নামের প্রতি প্রদর্শিত তোমাদের ভালবাসা, এই সব তিনি ভুলে যাবেন না। BSB BSB: For God is not unjust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown for His name as you have ministered to the saints and continue to do so.
11 ULB এবং আমাদের ইচ্ছা এই, যেন তোমাদের প্রত্যেক জন একই প্রকার যত্ন দেখায়, যাতে শেষ পর্যন্ত প্রত্যাশার পূর্ণতা থাকবে; BSB BSB: We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.
12 ULB আমরা চাই না যে তোমরা অলস হও, কিন্তু যারা বিশ্বাস ও দীর্ঘসহিষ্ণুতার কারণে নিয়ম সমূহের অধিকারী, তাদের মতো হও। BSB BSB: Then you will not be sluggish, but will imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
13 ULB কারণ ঈশ্বর যখন অব্রাহামের কাছে প্রতিজ্ঞা করলেন, তখন মহৎ কোনো ব্যক্তির নামে শপথ করতে না পারাতে নিজেরই নামে শপথ করলেন, BSB BSB: When God made His promise to Abraham, since He had no one greater to swear by, He swore by Himself,
14 ULB তিনি বললেন, “আমি অবশ্যই তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করব এবং তোমার বংশ অগনিত করব।” BSB BSB: saying, “I will surely bless you and multiply your descendants.”
15 ULB আর এইভাবে, আব্রাহাম ধৈর্য্য ধরে অপেক্ষা করলেন, তিনি প্রতিজ্ঞা প্রাপ্ত হলেন। BSB BSB: And so Abraham, after waiting patiently, obtained the promise.
16 ULB মানুষেরা তো মহৎ ব্যক্তির নাম নিয়ে শপথ করে; এবং এই শপথের মাধ্যমে তাদের সমস্ত তর্কবিতর্কের অবসান হয়। BSB BSB: Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and their oath serves as a confirmation to end all argument.
17 ULB এই ব্যাপারে ঈশ্বর প্রতিজ্ঞার উত্তরাধিকারীদেরকে নিজের মন্ত্রণার অপরিবর্তনীয়তা আরও স্পষ্টভাবে দেখাবার জন্য শপথের মাধ্যমে নিশ্চয়তা করলেন; BSB BSB: So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath.
18 ULB এই ব্যাপারে মিথ্যাকথা বলা ঈশ্বরের অসাধ্য, এমন অপরিবর্তনীয় দুই ব্যাপারের মাধ্যমে আমরা যারা প্রত্যাশা ধরবার জন্য তাঁর শরণার্থে ছুটে গিয়েছি যেন দৃঢ় আশ্বাস প্রাপ্ত হই। BSB BSB: Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.
19 ULB আমাদের সেই প্রত্যাশা আছে, তা প্রাণের নোঙরের মতো, অটল ও দৃঢ়। তা পর্দার আড়ালে স্বর্গীয় মন্দিরের পবিত্র স্থানে প্রবেশ করায়। BSB BSB: We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
20 ULB আর সেই জায়গায় আমাদের জন্য অগ্রগামী হয়ে যীশু প্রবেশ করেছেন, যিনি মল্কীষেদকের রীতি অনুযায়ী অনন্তকালীন মহাযাজক হয়েছেন। BSB BSB: where Jesus our forerunner has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.
