3 ULB তখন সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য দ্বিতীয়বার আমার কাছে এল এবং বলল, BSB BSB: Then the word of the LORD came to me a second time:
4 ULB “যে অন্তর্বাস তুমি কিনে কোমরে বেঁধে রেখেছ, সেটি নিয়ে তুমি ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর কাছে গিয়ে সেখানকার শিলার ফাটলে লুকিয়ে রাখ।” BSB BSB: “Take the loincloth that you bought and are wearing, and go at once to Perath and hide it there in a crevice of the rocks.”
5 ULB সেইজন্য সদাপ্রভুর আদেশ মত আমি গিয়ে ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর কাছে সেটা লুকিয়ে রাখলাম। BSB BSB: So I went and hid it at Perath, as the LORD had commanded me.
6 ULB অনেক দিন পরে সদাপ্রভু আমাকে বললেন, “ওঠ এবং ইউফ্রেটিসে ফিরে যাও। সেখান থেকে অন্তর্বাসটি নাও যা আমি তোমাকে লুকিয়ে রাখতে বলেছিলাম।” BSB BSB: Many days later the LORD said to me, “Arise, go to Perath, and get the loincloth that I commanded you to hide there.”
7 ULB সেইজন্য আমি ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর কাছে গেলাম এবং যেখানে অন্তর্বাসটি লুকিয়ে রেখেছিলাম, সেখান থেকে সেটি খুঁড়ে বের করলাম। কিন্তু দেখ! সেই অন্তর্বাসটি নষ্ট হয়ে গেছে; সেটা আর ভালো নেই। BSB BSB: So I went to Perath and dug up the loincloth, and I took it from the place where I had hidden it. But now it was ruined—of no use at all.
8 ULB তখন সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আবার আমার কাছে এল ও বলল, BSB BSB: Then the word of the LORD came to me:
9 ULB “সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘এই রকম করে আমি যিহূদা এবং যিরূশালেমের এতো অহংকার ধ্বংস করব। BSB BSB: “This is what the LORD says: In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.
10 ULB এই দুষ্ট জাতির লোকেরা, যারা আমার কথা শুনতে অস্বীকার করে, যারা তাদের অন্তরের কঠিনতা অনুসারে চলে, যারা উপাসনা করার জন্য দেবতাদের পিছনে যায় এবং তাদের কাছে মাথা নত করে, তারা এই অন্তর্বাসটির মত যার ভালো কিছু নেই। BSB BSB: These evil people, who refuse to listen to My words, who follow the stubbornness of their own hearts, and who go after other gods to serve and worship them, they will be like this loincloth—of no use at all.
11 ULB কারণ লোকের কোমরে যেমন করে অন্তর্বাস রাখে, তেমনি আমি সম্পূর্ণ ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদার সমস্ত লোকেদের আমার সঙ্গে আটকে রেখেছিলাম, এটি সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা, আমার প্রজা হও, আমার সুনাম, প্রশংসা ও সম্মান কর। কিন্তু তারা আমার কথা শোনেনি।’ BSB BSB: For just as a loincloth clings to a man’s waist, so I have made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to Me, declares the LORD, so that they might be My people for My renown and praise and glory. But they did not listen.
12 ULB তাই তুমি তাদের এই কথা বল, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু এটা বলেন, ‘প্রত্যেকটি পাত্র আঙ্গুর রসে পূর্ণ হবে।’ তারা তোমাকে বলবে, ‘আমরা কি জানি না যে, প্রত্যেকটি পাত্র আঙ্গুর রসে পূর্ণ হবে?’ BSB BSB: Therefore you are to tell them that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Every wineskin shall be filled with wine.’ And when they reply, ‘Don’t we surely know that every wineskin should be filled with wine?’
13 ULB তাহলে তাদের বল, ‘সদাপ্রভু বলেন, দেখ, আমি এই দেশে বসবাসকারী প্রত্যেককে মাদকতায় পূর্ণ করব, দায়ূদের সিংহাসনে বসা সমস্ত রাজাদের, যাজকদের, ভাববাদীদের এবং যিরূশালেমে বাসকারী সবাইকে। BSB BSB: then you are to tell them that this is what the LORD says: ‘I am going to fill with drunkenness all who live in this land—the kings who sit on David’s throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the people of Jerusalem.
14 ULB তখন আমি একজনকে অন্য জনের বিরুদ্ধে, বাবা ও ছেলে সবাইকে চুরমার করব, এটি সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা। আমি কোন করুণা বা দয়া করব না; আমি তাদের ধ্বংস থেকে রেহাই দেব না’।” BSB BSB: I will smash them against one another, fathers and sons alike, declares the LORD. I will allow no mercy or pity or compassion to keep Me from destroying them.’”
15 ULB শোন, মনোযোগ দাও। অহংকার কোরো না, কারণ সদাপ্রভু বলেছেন। BSB BSB: Listen and give heed. Do not be arrogant, for the LORD has spoken.
16 ULB তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব কর, তা না হলে তিনি অন্ধকার নিয়ে আসবেন এবং অন্ধকারে আচ্ছন্ন পর্বতে তোমাদের পা হোঁচট খাবে। কারণ তোমরা আলোর আশা করছ, কিন্তু তিনি সেই জায়গা ঘন অন্ধকারে ভরে দেবেন, গভীর মেঘে ভরে দেবেন। BSB BSB: Give glory to the LORD your God before He brings darkness, before your feet stumble on the dusky mountains. You wait for light, but He turns it into deep gloom and thick darkness.
17 ULB তোমরা যদি কথা না শোন, তবে তোমাদের অহংকারের জন্য আমি গোপনে কাঁদব। আমার চোখ নিশ্চই কাঁদবে ও জলে ভেসে যাবে, কারণ সদাপ্রভুর পাল বন্দী হয়েছে। BSB BSB: But if you do not listen, I will weep in secret because of your pride. My eyes will overflow with tears, because the LORD’s flock has been taken captive.
18 ULB “রাজা ও রাজমাতাকে বল, ‘নিজেদের নত কর এবং বস, কারণ তোমাদের মাথার মুকুট, যা তোমাদের গর্ব ও গৌরব, তা পড়ে গেছে। BSB BSB: Say to the king and to the queen mother: “Take a lowly seat, for your glorious crowns have fallen from your heads.”
19 ULB দক্ষিণ প্রদেশের শহরগুলি বন্ধ করা হবে, কেউ তাদের খুলতে পারবে না। যিহূদার সমস্ত লোক বন্দী হয়েছে, তার সমস্ত লোক বন্দীদশায় আছে’।” BSB BSB: The cities of the Negev have been shut tight, and no one can open them. All Judah has been carried into exile, wholly taken captive.
20 ULB তুমি চোখ তোল, দেখ, উত্তর দিক থেকে তারা আসছে। কোথায় সেই পাল যা তিনি তোমাকে দিয়েছিলেন, সেই পাল যা তোমার কাছে খুব সুন্দর ছিল? BSB BSB: Lift up your eyes and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?
21 ULB তুমি কি বলবে যখন ঈশ্বর তোমার উপরে তাদের বসাবেন যাদেরকে তুমি তোমার বন্ধু হতে শিক্ষা দিয়েছিলে? সন্তান জন্ম দেবার সময়ে একজন স্ত্রীলোক যেমন যন্ত্রণা পায় তুমি কি তেমনি যন্ত্রণা পাবে না? BSB BSB: What will you say when He sets over you close allies whom you yourself trained? Will not pangs of anguish grip you, as they do a woman in labor?
22 ULB যদি তুমি নিজের অন্তরে বল, ‘আমার সাথে এটা কেন ঘটল?’ এটা ঘটার কারণ তোমার অসংখ্য অপরাধ, যা তোমার পোশাক উন্মুক্ত করেছে এবং তুমি ধর্ষিতা হয়েছ। BSB BSB: And if you ask yourself, “Why has this happened to me?” It is because of the magnitude of your iniquity that your skirts have been stripped off and your body has been exposed.
23 ULB কূশ দেশের লোক কি তার দেহের রং পরিবর্তন করতে পারে, অথবা চিতাবাঘ কি তার দাগ পরিবর্তন করতে পারে? যদি তাই হয়, তুমি নিজেও মন্দ কাজে অভ্যস্ত, ভাল কাজ করতে পার। BSB BSB: Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Neither are you able to do good—you who are accustomed to doing evil.
24 ULB “আমি তুষের মত তাদের ছড়িয়ে দেব যা মরুভূমির বাতাসে নষ্ট হয়। BSB BSB: “I will scatter you like chaff driven by the desert wind.
25 ULB এটাই সেটা যা আমি তোমাকে দিয়েছি, তোমার জন্য আমার নিরূপিত অংশ, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন। কারণ তুমি আমাকে ভুলে গেছ এবং মিথ্যার উপর বিশ্বাস করেছ। BSB BSB: This is your lot, the portion I have measured to you,” declares the LORD, “because you have forgotten Me and trusted in falsehood.
26 ULB তাই আমি নিজেও তোমার থেকে তোমার কাপড় খুলে নেব এবং তোমার লজ্জা দেখা যাবে। BSB BSB: So I will pull your skirts up over your face, that your shame may be seen.
27 ULB পাহাড় ও মাঠের মধ্যে তোমার ব্যভিচার ও হ্রেষাধ্বনি, লজ্জাহীন বেশ্যার কাজ দেখেছি। যিরূশালেম, ধিক্ তোমাকে! তুমি শুচি নও। আর কত দিন এই সব করবে?” BSB BSB: Your adulteries and lustful neighings, your shameless prostitution on the hills and in the fields—I have seen your detestable acts. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! How long will you remain unclean?”
