3 ULB যিরূশালেম ও যিহূদায় সদাপ্রভু ক্রোধজনিত ঘটনা হল যে পর্যন্ত না তিনি নিজের সামনে থেকে তাদেরকে দূরে ফেলে দিলেন, আর সিদিকিয় বাবিলের রাজার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করলেন। BSB BSB: For because of the anger of the LORD, all this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until He finally banished them from His presence. And Zedekiah also rebelled against the king of Babylon.
4 ULB পরে তাঁর রাজত্বের নবম বছরের দশম মাসের দশ দিনের দিন বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিৎসর ও তাঁর সমস্ত সৈন্য যিরূশালেমের বিরুদ্ধে আসলেন। তারা বিপরীত দিকে শিবির স্থাপন করল এবং তারা এর চারিদিকে ঢিবি তৈরী করল। BSB BSB: So in the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his entire army. They encamped outside the city and built a siege wall all around it.
5 ULB সিদিকিয়ের রাজত্বের এগারো বছর পর্যন্ত শহরটা ঘেরাও করে রাখা হল। BSB BSB: And the city was kept under siege until King Zedekiah’s eleventh year.
6 ULB চতুর্থ মাসের নয় দিনের দিন শহরে মহাদূর্ভিক্ষ হয়েছিল, দেশে লোকদের খাদ্যদ্রব্য কিছুই থাকলো না। BSB BSB: By the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine in the city was so severe that the people of the land had no food.
7 ULB পরে শহরের একটা জায়গা ভেঙ্গে গেল এবং সমস্ত যোদ্ধা শহর থেকে বাইরে গিয়ে রাজার বাগানের কাছাকাছি দুই প্রাচীরের দরজার পথ দিয়ে পালিয়ে গেল- তখন কলদীয়েরা শহরের বিরুদ্ধে চারিদিকে ছিল আর ওরা অরাবার দিকে গেল। BSB BSB: Then the city was breached; and though the Chaldeans had surrounded the city, all the men of war fled the city by night by way of the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden. They headed toward the Arabah,
8 ULB কলদীয়দের সৈন্য রাজার পিছনে দৌড়ে গিয়ে যিরীহোর সমভূমিতে সিদিকিয়কে ধরল, তাতে তার সব সৈন্য তার কাছ থেকে ছিন্নভিন্ন হল। BSB BSB: but the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and his whole army deserted him.
9 ULB তখন তারা রাজাকে ধরে হমাৎ দেশের রিব্লাতে বাবিলের রাজার কাছে নিয়ে গেল, পরে তিনি তার শাস্তি দিলেন। BSB BSB: The Chaldeans seized the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on Zedekiah.
10 ULB বাবিলের রাজা সিদিকিয়ের চোখের সামনেই তাঁর ছেলেদের মেরে ফেললেন এবং যিহূদার সমস্ত নেতাদেরও রিব্লাতে মেরে ফেললেন; আর সিদিকিয়ের চোখ তুলে ফেললেন; BSB BSB: There at Riblah the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also killed all the officials of Judah.
11 ULB পরে বাবিলের রাজা তার শিকলে বেঁধে নিয়ে গেলেন এবং তার মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত তাকে কারাগারে রেখে দিলেন। BSB BSB: Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him with bronze shackles, and took him to Babylon, where he kept him in custody until his dying day.
12 ULB পরে পঞ্চম মাসের দশম দিনে বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিৎসরের ঊনিশ বছরের রক্ষক সেনাপতি নবূষরদন যিনি বাবিলের রাজার সামনে দাঁড়াতেন সেই যিরূশালেমে আসলেন। BSB BSB: On the tenth day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign over Babylon, Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.
13 ULB তিনি সদাপ্রভুর ঘর ও রাজবাড়ী পুড়িয়ে দিলেন এবং যিরুশালেমের সমস্ত বাড়ী ও বড় বড় বাড়ী তিনি পুড়িয়ে ফেললেন। BSB BSB: He burned down the house of the LORD, the royal palace, and all the houses of Jerusalem—every significant building.
14 ULB আর রাজার রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতির অধীনে সমস্ত কলদীয় সৈন্য যিরূশালেমের সব দেয়াল ভেঙ্গে ফেলল। BSB BSB: And the whole army of the Chaldeans under the captain of the guard broke down all the walls around Jerusalem.
15 ULB আর রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি নবূষরদন কিছু গরিব লোককে, শহরে পরিত্যক্ত বাকি লোকদেরকে ও বাদবাকী কারিগরদের এবং যারা বাবিলের রাজার পক্ষে গিয়েছিল তাদের বন্দী করে নিয়ে গেলেন। BSB BSB: Then Nebuzaradan captain of the guard carried into exile some of the poorest people and those who remained in the city, along with the deserters who had defected to the king of Babylon and the rest of the craftsmen.
16 ULB কিন্তু আঙ্গুর ক্ষেত দেখাশোনা ও জমি চাষ করবার জন্য রক্ষী সেনাপতি নবূষরদন কিছু গরিব লোককে তিনি দেশে রাখলেন। BSB BSB: But Nebuzaradan captain of the guard left behind some of the poorest of the land to tend the vineyards and fields.
17 ULB আর সদাপ্রভুর ঘরের ব্রোঞ্জের দুটি থাম, সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের পীঠ সব এবং ব্রোঞ্জের সমুদ্র পাত্রটি ভেঙ্গে টুকরো টুকরো করে বাবিলে নিয়ে গেল। BSB BSB: Moreover, the Chaldeans broke up the bronze pillars and stands and the bronze Sea in the house of the LORD, and they carried all the bronze to Babylon.

19 ULB গামলা, ধূপ দাহনকারী, বাটি, পাত্র, বাতিদান, চাটু এবং জলসেক প্রভৃতি সোনার পাত্রের সোনা, রূপার পাত্রের রূপা রক্ষ সেনাপতি নিয়ে গেলেন। BSB BSB: The captain of the guard also took away the basins, censers, sprinkling bowls, pots, lampstands, pans, and drink offering bowls—anything made of pure gold or fine silver.
20 ULB যে দুই থাম এক সমুদ্র পাত্র ও পীঠ সবের নীচে বারোটি পিতলের ষাঁড় রাজা শলোমন সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের জন্য তৈরী করেছিলেন, সেই সব পাত্রের পিতল অপরিমিত ছিল। BSB BSB: As for the two pillars, the Sea, the twelve bronze bulls under it, and the movable stands that King Solomon had made for the house of the LORD, the weight of the bronze from all these articles was beyond measure.
21 ULB ফলে ওই দুই থামের প্রত্যেকের উচ্চতা আঠারো হাত ও বারো হাত চওড়া ছিল এবং তার চার আঙ্গুল মোটা ছিল; তা ফাঁপা ছিল। BSB BSB: Each pillar was eighteen cubits tall and twelve cubits in circumference; each was hollow, four fingers thick.
22 ULB আর তার ওপরে পাঁচ হাত উঁচু পিতলের এক মাথা ছিল এবং সেই মাথার চারপাশে জালের কাজ ছিল ও দাড়িম্বের মতো ছিল। সে সব পিতলের এবং দ্বিতীয় থামেও ঐ আকারের দাড়িম্ব ছিল। BSB BSB: The bronze capital atop one pillar was five cubits high, with a network of bronze pomegranates all around. The second pillar, with its pomegranates, was similar.
23 ULB পাশে ছিয়ানব্বইটা দাড়িম্ব ছিল চারিদিকে জালিকাজের ওপরে একশো দাড়িম্ব ছিল। BSB BSB: Each capital had ninety-six pomegranates on the sides, and a total of a hundred pomegranates were above the surrounding network.
24 ULB পরে রক্ষ সেনাপতি মহাযাজক সরায়কে, দ্বিতীয় যাজক সফনিয় ও তিনজন দারোয়ানকে ধরলেন। BSB BSB: The captain of the guard also took away Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the priest of second rank, and the three doorkeepers.
25 ULB আর তিনি শহর থেকে যোদ্ধাদের ওপরে নিযুক্ত একজন কর্মচারীকে এবং যারা রাজাকে দেখতেন, তাদের মধ্যে শহরে পাওয়া সাত জন লোককে, দেশের লোক সংগ্রহকারী সেনাপতির লেখককেও শহরের মধ্যে পাওয়া দেশের লেখকদের মধ্যে ষাটজনকে ধরলেন। BSB BSB: Of those still in the city, he took a court official who had been appointed over the men of war, as well as seven trusted royal advisers. He also took the scribe of the captain of the army, who had enlisted the people of the land, and sixty men who were found in the city.

27 ULB আর বাবিলের রাজা হমাৎ দেশের রিব্লাতে তাদেরকে আঘাত করে হত্যা করলেন। এইভাবে যিহূদা নিজেদের দেশ থেকে বন্দী হয়ে গেল। BSB BSB: There at Riblah in the land of Hamath, the king of Babylon struck them down and put them to death. So Judah was taken into exile, away from its own land.
28 ULB নবূখদনিৎসর যাদেরকে বন্দী করেছিলেন তাদের সংখ্যা হল এই: সপ্তম বছরে তিন হাজার তেইশজন যিহূদী, BSB BSB: These are the people Nebuchadnezzar carried away: in the seventh year, 3,023 Jews;
29 ULB নবূখদনিৎসরের রাজত্বের আঠারো বছরের সময় তিনি যিরূশালেম থেকে আটশো বত্রিশজন যিহূদী বন্দী করে নিয়ে যান; BSB BSB: in Nebuchadnezzar’s eighteenth year, 832 people from Jerusalem;
30 ULB নবূখদনিৎসরের তেইশ বছরের সময় রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি নবূষরদন সাতশো পঁয়তাল্লিশজন যিহূদীকে বন্দী করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন। মোট বন্দী লোক চার হাজার ছশো। BSB BSB: in Nebuchadnezzar’s twenty-third year, Nebuzaradan captain of the guard carried away 745 Jews. So in all, 4,600 people were taken away.
32 ULB তিনি যিহোয়াখীনের সঙ্গে ভালভাবে কথা বললেন এবং বাবিলে তাঁর সঙ্গে আর যে সব রাজারা ছিলেন তাঁদের চেয়েও তাঁকে আরও সম্মানের আসন দিলেন। BSB BSB: And he spoke kindly to Jehoiachin and set his throne above the thrones of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.
33 ULB ইবিল-মরোদক যিহোয়াখীনের কারাগারের পোশাক খুলে ফেললেন এবং জীবনের বাকী দিনগুলো নিয়মিতভাবে রাজার টেবিলে খেতেন। BSB BSB: So Jehoiachin changed out of his prison clothes, and he dined regularly at the king’s table for the rest of his life.
34 ULB আর তার মৃত্যুদিন পর্যন্ত তাকে প্রতিদিন খাবার ভাতা দেওয়া হত। BSB BSB: And the king of Babylon provided Jehoiachin a daily portion for the rest of his life, until the day of his death.
