2 ULB আর সেসময় দিয়াবল দ্বারা পরীক্ষিত হলেন, সেই চল্লিশ দিন তিনি কিছুই আহার করেননি; পরে সেই চল্লিশ দিন শেষ হলে তাঁর খিদে পেল। BSB BSB: where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.
3 ULB তখন দিয়াবল তাঁকে বলল, "তুমি যদি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র হও, তবে এই পাথরটিকে বল, যেন এটা রুটি হয়ে যায়।" BSB BSB: The devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”
4 ULB যীশু তাকে বললেন, "লেখা আছে, মানুষ কেবল রুটি তে বাঁচবে না।" BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
5 ULB পরে দিয়াবল তাঁকে উপরে নিয়ে গেলেন এবং এক মুহূর্তের মধ্যে তাঁকে জগতের সমস্ত রাজ্য দেখাল। BSB BSB: Then the devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
6 ULB আর দিয়াবল তাঁকে বলল, "তোমাকে আমি এই সমস্ত রাজ্যর উপর কর্তৃত্ব ও এই সমস্ত ঐশ্বর্য্য দেব; কারণ এগুলোর উপর কর্তৃত্ব করার ক্ষমতা আমাকে দেওয়া হয়েছে, আর আমার যাকে ইচ্ছা তাকে দান করতে পারি; BSB BSB: “I will give You authority over all these kingdoms and all their glory,” he said. “For it has been relinquished to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.
7 ULB অতএব এখন তুমি যদি আমার সামনে হাঁটু পেতে প্রণাম কর, তবে এ সমস্তই তোমার হবে।" BSB BSB: So if You worship me, it will all be Yours.”
8 ULB যীশু এর উত্তরে তাকে বললেন, "লেখা আছে, তোমার ঈশ্বর প্রভুকেই প্রণাম করবে, কেবল তাঁরই আরাধনা করবে।" BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”
9 ULB আর সে তাঁকে যিরুশালেমে নিয়ে গেল ও ঈশ্বরের গৃহের চূড়ার উপরে দাঁড় করাল এবং তাঁকে বলল, "তুমি যদি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র হও, তবে এখান থেকে নীচে লাফিয়ে পড়; BSB BSB: Then the devil led Him to Jerusalem and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple. “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down from here.
10 ULB কারণ লেখা আছে, তিনি নিজের দূতদের তোমার জন্য আদেশ দেবেন, যেন তাঁরা তোমাকে রক্ষা করেন; BSB BSB: For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You carefully,
11 ULB আর, তোমাকে হাতে করে তুলে নেবেন, পাছে তোমার চরণে পাথরের আঘাত লাগে।" BSB BSB: and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
12 ULB যীশু এর উত্তরে বললেন, এটাও লেখা আছে, "তুমি তোমার ঈশ্বর প্রভুর পরীক্ষা করনা।" BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
13 ULB আর সমস্ত পরীক্ষার পর শয়তান সুবিধাজনক সময়ের অপেক্ষার জন্য কিছুদিনের জন্য তাঁর কাছ থেকে চলে গেল। BSB BSB: When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time.
14 ULB তখন যীশু আত্মার পরাক্রমে গালীলে ফিরে গেলেন এবং তাঁর কীর্তি সমস্ত অঞ্চলের চারিদিকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ল। BSB BSB: Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region.
15 ULB আর তিনি তাদের সমাজঘরে উপদেশ দিলেন এবং সবাই তাঁর খুবই মহিমা করতে লাগল। BSB BSB: He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by everyone.
17 ULB তখন যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর পুস্তক তাঁর হাতে দেওয়া হল, আর পুস্তকটি খুলে তিনি সেই অংশটি পেলেন, যেখানে লেখা আছে, BSB BSB: the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it was written:
18 ULB "প্রভুর আত্মা আমার উপর আছেন, কারণ তিনি আমাকে অভিষিক্ত করেছেন, দরিদ্রের কাছে সুসমাচার প্রচার করার জন্য; তিনি আমাকে পাঠিয়েছেন, বন্দিদের কাছে মুক্তি প্রচার করার জন্য, অন্ধদের কাছে দৃষ্টি দানের প্রচার করার জন্য, নির্যাতিতদের উদ্ধার করার জন্য, BSB BSB: “The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed,
19 ULB প্রভুর অনুগ্রহের বছর ঘোষণা করার জন্য।" BSB BSB: to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
20 ULB পরে তিনি পুস্তকটিকে বন্ধ করে পরিচারকের হাতে দিলেন এবং বসলেন। তাতে সমাজঘরের সবাই একভাবে তাঁর দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকল। BSB BSB: Then He rolled up the scroll, returned it to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him,
21 ULB আর তিনি তাদের বললেন, "আজই শাস্ত্রের এই বাণী তোমাদের শোনার মাধ্যমে পূর্ণ হল।" BSB BSB: and He began by saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
22 ULB তাতে সবাই তাঁর বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিল ও তাঁর মুখের সুন্দর করুণাবিষ্ট কথায় তারা আশ্চর্য্য হল, আর বলল, "এ তো যোষেফের ছেলে, তাই না কি?" BSB BSB: All spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that came from His lips. “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” they asked.
23 ULB যীশু তাদের বললেন, "তোমরা আমাকে অবশ্যই এই প্রবাদবাক্য বলবে, ডাক্তার আগে নিজেকে সুস্থ কর; কফরনাহূমে তুমি যা যা করেছ আমরা শুনেছি, সে সব এখানে নিজের দেশেও কর।" BSB BSB: Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in Your hometown what we have heard that You did in Capernaum.’”
24 ULB তিনি আরও বললেন, "আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, কোনও ভাববাদী তাঁর নিজের দেশে গ্রহণযোগ্য হয় না।" BSB BSB: Then He added, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.
25 ULB আর আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, এলিয়ের সময় যখন তিন বছর ছয় মাস পর্যন্ত বৃষ্টি হয়নি ও সারা দেশে কঠিন দূর্ভিক্ষ হয়েছিল, তখন ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে অনেক বিধবা ছিল; BSB BSB: But I tell you truthfully that there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land.
26 ULB কিন্তু এলিয়কে তাদের কারও কাছে পাঠানো হয়নি, কেবল সীদোন দেশের সারিফতে এক বিধবা মহিলার কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছিল। BSB BSB: Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to the widow of Zarephath in Sidon.
27 ULB আর ইলীশায় ভাববাদীর সময়ে ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে অনেকে কুষ্ঠরোগী ছিল, কিন্তু তাদের কেউই শুচি হয়নি, কেবল সুরীয় দেশের নামান হয়েছিল। BSB BSB: And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet. Yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”
28 ULB এই কথা শুনে সমাজঘরের লোকেরা সবাই রাগে পূর্ণ হল; BSB BSB: On hearing this, all the people in the synagogue were enraged.
29 ULB আর তারা উঠে তাঁকে শহরের বাইরে ঠেলতে ঠেলতে নিয়ে চলল এবং যে পর্বতে তাদের শহর তৈরি হয়েছিল, তার শেষ প্রান্তে নিয়ে গেল, যেন তাঁকে নীচে ফেলে দিতে পারে। BSB BSB: They got up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw Him over the cliff.
30 ULB কিন্তু তিনি তাদের মধ্য দিয়ে হেঁটে চলে গেলেন। BSB BSB: But Jesus passed through the crowd and went on His way.
31 ULB পরে তিনি গালীলের কফরনাহূম শহরে নেমে গেলেন। আর তিনি বিশ্রামবারে লোকদের উপদেশ দিতে লাগলেন; BSB BSB: Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.
32 ULB এবং লোকরা তাঁর শিক্ষায় চমৎকৃত হল; কারণ তিনি ক্ষমতার সঙ্গে কথা বলতেন। BSB BSB: They were astonished at His teaching, because His message had authority.
33 ULB তখন ঐ সমাজঘরে এক ব্যক্তি ছিল, তাকে ভূত ও মন্দ আত্মায় ধরেছিল; BSB BSB: In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice,
34 ULB সে চিত্কার করে চেঁচিয়ে বলল, "হে নাসরতীয় যীশু, আপনার সঙ্গে আমাদের সম্পর্ক কি? আপনি কি আমাদেরকে বিনাশ করতে এসেছেন? আমি জানি, আপনি কে, ঈশ্বরের সেই পবিত্র ব্যক্তি।" BSB BSB: “Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
35 ULB তখন যীশু তাকে ধমকিয়ে বললেন, "চুপ কর এবং এর মধ্যে থেকে বেরিয়ে যাও," তখন সেই ভূত তাকে সবার মাঝখানে ফেলে দিয়ে তার মধ্যে দিয়ে বের হয়ে গেল, তার কোনও ক্ষতি করল না। BSB BSB: But Jesus rebuked the demon. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!” At this, the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without harming him.
36 ULB তখন সবাই খুবই আশ্চর্য্য হল এবং নিজেদের মধ্যে আলোচনা করতে লাগল, এ কেমন কথা? ইনি ক্ষমতায় ও পরাক্রমে মন্দ আত্মাদের আদেশ করেন, আর তারা বের হয়ে যায়। BSB BSB: All the people were overcome with amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
37 ULB আর আশেপাশের অঞ্চলের সব জায়গায় তাঁর কীর্তি ছড়িয়ে পড়ল। BSB BSB: And the news about Jesus spread throughout the surrounding region.
38 ULB পরে তিনি সমাজঘর থেকে বের হয়ে শিমোনের বাড়িতে প্রবেশ করলেন; তখন শিমোনের শাশুড়ীর ভীষণ জ্বরে কষ্ট পাচ্ছিলেন, তাই তাঁরা তাঁর সুস্থতার জন্য যীশুকে অনুরোধ করলেন। BSB BSB: After Jesus had left the synagogue, He went to the home of Simon, whose mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever. So they appealed to Jesus on her behalf,
39 ULB তখন তিনি তাঁর কাছে দাঁড়িয়ে জ্বরকে ধমক দিলেন, তাতে তাঁর জ্বর ছেড়ে গেল; আর তিনি সঙ্গে সঙ্গে উঠে তাদের সেবাযত্ন করতে লাগলেন। BSB BSB: and He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And she got up at once and began to serve them.
40 ULB পরে সূর্য্য অস্ত যাবার সময়ে, বিভিন্ন রোগে অসুস্থ রুগীদের লোকেরা, তাঁর কাছে আনল; আর তিনি প্রত্যেক জনের উপরে হাত রেখে তাদের সুস্থ করলেন। BSB BSB: At sunset, all who were ill with various diseases were brought to Jesus, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them.
41 ULB আর অনেক লোকের মধ্যে থেকে ভূত বের হল, ভূতেরা চীৎকার করে বলল, "আপনি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র", কিন্তু তিনি তাদের ধমক দিয়ে কথা বলতে দিলেন না, কারণ ভূতেরা জানত যে তিনিই সেই খ্রীষ্ট। BSB BSB: Demons also came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.
42 ULB পরে সকাল হলে তিনি সেই জায়গা থেকে একটি নির্জন জায়গায় চলে গেলেন; আর লোকেরা তাঁর খোঁজ করল এবং তাঁর কাছে এসে তাঁকে বারণ করল, যেন তিনি তাদের কাছ থেকে চলে না যান। BSB BSB: At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place, and the crowds were looking for Him. They came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving.
43 ULB কিন্তু তিনি তাদের বললেন, "আরও অনেক শহরে আমাকে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের সুসমাচার প্রচার করতে হবে; কারণ সেইজন্য আমাকে পাঠানো হয়েছে।" BSB BSB: But Jesus told them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well, because that is why I was sent.”
44 ULB পরে তিনি যিহুদিয়ার বিভিন্ন সমাজঘরে প্রচার করতে লাগলেন। BSB BSB: And He continued to preach in the synagogues of Judea.
