1 ULB সেই দিন যীশু ঘর থেকে বের হয়ে গিয়ে সমুদ্রের পাড়ে বসলেন। BSB BSB: That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea.
2 ULB আর প্রচুর লোক তাঁর কাছে এলো, তাতে তিনি সমুদ্রের মধ্যে একটি নৌকায় উঠে বসলেন এবং সব লোক তীরে দাঁড়িয়ে রইল। BSB BSB: Such large crowds gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat down, while all the people stood on the shore.
3 ULB তখন তিনি গল্পের মাধ্যমে তাদের অনেক কথা বলতে লাগলেন। BSB BSB: And He told them many things in parables, saying, “A farmer went out to sow his seed.
4 ULB তিনি বললেন, দেখ, একজন চাষী বীজ বুনতে গেল। বোনার সময় কিছু বীজ পথের ধরে পড়ল, তাতে পাখিরা এসে সেগুলি খেয়ে ফেলল। BSB BSB: And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.
5 ULB আর কিছু বীজ পাথুরে মাটিতে পড়ল, যেখানে ঠিকমত মাটি পেল না, সেগুলি ঠিকমত মাটি না পেয়ে তাড়াতাড়ি অঙ্কুর বের হলো, কিন্তু সূর্য্য উঠলে সেগুলি পুড়ে গেল, BSB BSB: Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.
6 ULB এবং তার শিকড় না থাকাতে শুকিয়ে গেল। BSB BSB: But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
7 ULB আর কিছু বীজ কাঁটাবনের মধ্যে পড়ল, তাতে কাঁটাবন বেড়ে গিয়ে সেগুলি চেপে রাখলো। BSB BSB: Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings.
8 ULB আর কিছু বীজ ভালো জমিতে পড়ল ও ফল দিতে লাগল; কিছু একশোগুন, কিছু ষাট গুন, কিছু ত্রিশ গুন। BSB BSB: Still other seed fell on good soil and produced a crop—a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.
9 ULB যার কান আছে সে শুনুক। BSB BSB: He who has ears, let him hear.”
10 ULB পরে শিষ্যেরা কাছে এসে তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, আপনি কি জন্য গল্পের মাধ্যমে ওদের কাছে কথা বলছেন? BSB BSB: Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Why do You speak to the people in parables?”
11 ULB তিনি উত্তর করে বললেন, স্বর্গরাজ্যের নিগূঢ় তত্ত্ব সব তোমাদের জানতে দেওয়া হয়েছে, কিন্তু তাদের দেওয়া হয়নি। BSB BSB: He replied, “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
12 ULB কারণ যার আছে, তাকে দেওয়া যাবে, ও তার বেশি হবে; কিন্তু যার নেই, তার যা আছে, সেটাও তার কাছ থেকে নিয়ে নেওয়া হবে। BSB BSB: Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 ULB এই জন্য আমি তোমাদের গল্পের মাধ্যমে কথা বলছি, কারণ তারা দেখেও না দেখে এবং শুনেও শোনে না এবং বুঝেও না। BSB BSB: This is why I speak to them in parables: ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.’
14 ULB আর তাদের বিষয়ে যিশাইয়ের এই ভাববাণী পূর্ণ হচ্ছে, “তোমরা কানে শুনবে, কিন্তু কোনো মতে বুঝবে না; এবং চোখে দেখবে, কিন্তু কোনো মতে জানবে না, BSB BSB: In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled: ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 ULB কারণ এই লোকদের হৃদয় শক্ত হয়েছে, তারা কানেও শোনে না ও তারা চোখ বন্ধ করেছে, পাছে তারা চোখে দেখে এবং কানে শুনে, হৃদয়ে বুঝে এবং ফিরে আসে, আর আমি তাদের সুস্থ করি।” BSB BSB: For this people’s heart has grown callous; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.’
16 ULB কিন্তু ধন্য তোমাদের চোখ, কারণ তা দেখে এবং তোমাদের কান, কারণ তা শোনে; BSB BSB: But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
17 ULB কারণ আমি তোমাদের সত্য বলছি, তোমরা যা যা দেখছ, তা অনেক ভাববাদী ও ধার্মিক লোক দেখতে ইচ্ছা করলেও দেখতে পায়নি এবং তোমরা যা যা শুনছ, তা তাঁরা শুনতে ইচ্ছা করলেও শুনতে পায়নি। BSB BSB: For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
18 ULB অতএব তোমরা বীজ বোনার গল্প শোন। BSB BSB: Consider, then, the parable of the sower:
19 ULB যখন কেউ সেই রাজ্যের বাক্য শুনে না বোঝে, তখন সেই শয়তান এসে তার হৃদয়ে যা বোনা হয়েছিল তা নিয়ে চলে যায়; এ সেই, যে পথের পাশে পড়ে থাকা বীজের কথা। BSB BSB: When anyone hears the message of the kingdom but does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
20 ULB আর যে পাথুরে জমির বীজ, এ সেই, যে সেই বাক্য শুনে অমনি আনন্দ সহকারে গ্রহণ করে, কিন্তু তাদের ভিতরে শিকড় নেই বলে, তারা কম দিন স্থির থাকে; BSB BSB: The seed sown on rocky ground is the one who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.
21 ULB পরে সেই বাক্যের জন্য কষ্ট কিংবা তাড়না আসলে তখনই তারা পিছিয়ে যায়। BSB BSB: But since he has no root, he remains for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.
22 ULB আর যে কাঁটাবনের মধ্যে বীজ, এ সেই, যে সেই বাক্য শোনে, কিন্তু সংসারের চিন্তা ভাবনা, সম্পতির মায়া ও অনান্য জিনিসের লোভ সেই বাক্যকে চেপে রাখে, তাতে সে ফলহীন হয়। BSB BSB: The seed sown among the thorns is the one who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
23 ULB আর যে ভালো জমির বীজ, এ সেই, যে সেই বাক্য শোনে তা বোঝে, সে বাস্তবিক ফলবান হয় এবং কিছু একশ গুন, কিছু ষাট গুন, ও কিছু ত্রিশ গুন ফল দেয়। BSB BSB: But the seed sown on good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and produces a crop—a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.”
25 ULB কিন্তু লোকে ঘুমিয়ে পড়লে পর তাঁর শত্রুরা এসে ঐ গমের মধ্যে শ্যামাঘাসের বীজ বপন করে চলে গেল। BSB BSB: But while everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and slipped away.
26 ULB পরে বীজ অঙ্কুরিত হয়ে ফল দিল, তখন শ্যামাঘাসও বেড়ে উঠল। BSB BSB: When the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared.
27 ULB তাতে সেই মালিকের দাসেরা এসে তাঁকে বলল, মহাশয়, আপনি কি নিজের ক্ষেতে ভাল বীজ বপন করেননি? তবে শ্যামাঘাস কোথা থেকে হল? BSB BSB: The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
28 ULB তিনি তাদের বললেন, কোন শত্রু এটা করেছে। দাসেরা তাঁকে বলল, তবে আপনি কি এমন ইচ্ছা করেন যে, আমরা গিয়ে তা সংগ্রহ করি? BSB BSB: ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. So the servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
29 ULB তিনি বললেন, না, কি জানি, শ্যামাঘাস সংগ্রহ করবার সময়ে তোমরা তার সাথে গমও উপড়িয়ে ফেলবে। BSB BSB: ‘No,’ he said, ‘if you pull the weeds now, you might uproot the wheat with them.
30 ULB ফসল কাটার সময় পর্যন্ত দুটিকেই একসঙ্গে বাড়তে দাও। পরে কাটার সময়ে আমি মজুরদের বলব, তোমরা প্রথমে শ্যামাঘাস সংগ্রহ করে পোড়াবার জন্য বোঝা বেঁধে রাখ, কিন্তু গম আমার গোলায় সংগ্রহ কর। BSB BSB: Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat into my barn.’”
31 ULB তিনি আর এক গল্প তাদের কাছে উপস্থিত করে বললেন, স্বর্গরাজ্য এমন একটি সরিষা দানার সমান, যা কোন ব্যক্তি নিয়ে নিজের ক্ষেতে বপন করল। BSB BSB: He put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in his field.
32 ULB সব বীজের মধ্যে ঐ বীজ অতি ক্ষুদ্র; কিন্তু বেড়ে উঠলে, পর তা শাক সবজির থেকে বড় হয়ে ওঠে এবং বড় বড় ডাল বের হয়, তাতে আকাশের পাখিরা এসে তার ডালে বাস করে। BSB BSB: Although it is the smallest of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
33 ULB তিনি তাদের আর এক গল্প বললেন, স্বর্গরাজ্য এমন খামির সমান, যা কোন স্ত্রীলোক নিয়ে অনেক ময়দার মধ্যে ঢেকে রাখল, শেষে পুরোটাই খামিতে পূর্ণ হয়ে উঠল। BSB BSB: He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”
34 ULB এই সব কথা যীশু গল্পের মাধ্যমে লোকদেরকে বললেন, গল্প ছাড়া তাদেরকে কিছুই বলতেন না; BSB BSB: Jesus spoke all these things to the crowds in parables. He did not tell them anything without using a parable.
35 ULB যেন ভাববাদীর মাধ্যমে বলা এই কথা পূর্ণ হয়, “আমি গল্প কথায় নিজের মুখ খুলব, জগতের শুরু থেকে যা যা গোপন আছে, সে সব প্রকাশ করব।” BSB BSB: So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.”
36 ULB তখন তিনি সবাইকে বিদায় করে বাড়ি এলেন। আর তাঁর শিষ্যরা কাছে এসে তাঁকে বললেন, ক্ষেতের শ্যামাঘাসের গল্পটি আমাদেরকে স্পষ্ট করে বলুন। BSB BSB: Then Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to Him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
37 ULB তিনি উত্তর করে বললেন, যিনি ভাল বীজ বপন করেন, তিনি মানবপুত্র। BSB BSB: He replied, “The One who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 ULB ক্ষেত হল জগত; ভাল বীজ হল ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের সন্তানরা; শ্যামাঘাস হল সেই শয়তানের সন্তানরা; BSB BSB: The field is the world, and the good seed represents the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,
39 ULB যে শত্রু তা বুনেছিল, সে দিয়াবল; কাটার সময় যুগের শেষ; এবং মজুরেরা হল স্বর্গদূত। BSB BSB: and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
40 ULB অতএব যেমন শ্যামাঘাস সংগ্রহ করে আগুনে পুড়িয়া দেওয়া হয়, তেমনি যুগের শেষে হবে। BSB BSB: As the weeds are collected and burned in the fire, so will it be at the end of the age.
41 ULB মানবপুত্র নিজের দূতদের পাঠাবেন; তাঁরা তাঁর রাজ্য থেকে সব বাঁধাজনক বিষয় ও অধর্মীদেরকে সংগ্রহ করবেন, BSB BSB: The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will weed out of His kingdom every cause of sin and all who practice lawlessness.
42 ULB এবং তাদের আগুনে ফেলে দেবেন; সেই জায়গায় কান্নাকাটি ও দাঁতে দাঁত ঘর্ষণ হবে। BSB BSB: And they will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
43 ULB তখন ধার্মিকেরা নিজেদের পিতার রাজ্যে সুর্য্যের মত উজ্জ্বল হবে। যার কান আছে সে শুনুক। BSB BSB: Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
44 ULB স্বর্গরাজ্য ক্ষেতের মধ্যে গোপন এমন ভান্ডার এর সমান, যা দেখতে পেয়ে এক ব্যক্তি লুকিয়ে রাখল, পরে আনন্দের আবেগে গিয়ে সব বিক্রি করে সেই জমি কিনল। BSB BSB: The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field.
45 ULB আবার স্বর্গরাজ্য এমন এক বণিকের সমান, যে ভালো ভালো মুক্তার খোঁজ করছিল, BSB BSB: Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls.
46 ULB সে একটি মহামূল্য মুক্তা দেখতে পেয়ে সব বিক্রি করে তা কিনল। BSB BSB: When he found one very precious pearl, he went away and sold all he had and bought it.
47 ULB আবার স্বর্গরাজ্য এমন এক টানা জালের সমান, যা সমুদ্রে ফেলে দেওয়া হলে সব রকম মাছ সংগ্রহ করল। BSB BSB: Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea and caught all kinds of fish.
48 ULB জালটা পরিপূর্ণ হলে লোকে পাড়ে টেনে তুলল, আর বসে বসে ভালগুলো সংগ্রহ করে পাত্রে রাখল এবং খারাপগুলো ফেলে দিল। BSB BSB: When it was full, the men pulled it ashore. Then they sat down and sorted the good fish into containers, but threw the bad away.
49 ULB এইভাবে যুগের শেষে হবে; দূতেরা এসে ধার্মিকদের মধ্য থেকে খারাপদের আলাদা করবেন, BSB BSB: So will it be at the end of the age: The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous
50 ULB এবং তাদের আগুনে ফেলে দেবেন; সেই জায়গায় কান্নাকাটি ও দাঁতে দাঁত ঘর্ষণ হবে। BSB BSB: and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51 ULB তোমরা কি এই সব বুঝতে পেরেছ? তাঁরা বললেন হ্যাঁ। BSB BSB: Have you understood all these things?” “Yes,” they answered.
52 ULB তখন তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, এই জন্য স্বর্গরাজ্যের বিষয়ে শিক্ষিত প্রত্যেক ধর্মশিক্ষক শিষ্য হয়েছে যারা এমন মানুষ যে তারা ঘরের মালিকের সমান, যে নিজের ভান্ডার থেকে নতুন ও পুরানো জিনিস বের করে। BSB BSB: Then He told them, “For this reason, every scribe who has been discipled in the kingdom of heaven is like a homeowner who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”
53 ULB এই সকল গল্প শেষ করবার পর যীশু সেখান থেকে চলে গেলেন। BSB BSB: When Jesus had finished these parables, He withdrew from that place.
54 ULB আর তিনি নিজের দেশে এসে লোকদের সমাজঘরে তাদের উপদেশ দিতে লাগলেন, তাতে তারা চমৎকৃত হয়ে বলল, এর এমন জ্ঞান ও এমন অলৌকিক কাজ সব কোথা থেকে হল? BSB BSB: Coming to His hometown, He taught the people in their synagogue, and they were astonished. “Where did this man get such wisdom and miraculous powers?” they asked.
56 ULB আর তার বোনেরা কি সবাই আমাদের এখানে নেই? তবে এ কোথা থেকে এই সব পেল? এইভাবে তারা যীশুকে নিয়ে বাধা পেতে লাগল। BSB BSB: Aren’t all His sisters with us as well? Where then did this man get all these things?”
57 ULB কিন্তু যীশু তাদের বললেন, নিজের দেশ ও জাতি ছাড়া আর কোথাও ভাববাদী অসম্মানিত হন না। BSB BSB: And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown and in his own household is a prophet without honor.”
58 ULB আর তাদের অবিশ্বাসের জন্য তিনি সেখানে প্রচুর অলৌকিক কাজ করলেন না। BSB BSB: And He did not do many miracles there, because of their unbelief.
