1 ULB তিনি পাহাড় থেকে নামলে প্রচুর লোক তাঁকে অনুসরণ করল। BSB BSB: When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.
2 ULB আর দেখো, একজন কুষ্ঠরোগী কাছে এসে তাঁকে প্রণাম করে বলল, হে প্রভু, যদি আপনার ইচ্ছা হয়, আমাকে শুদ্ধ করতে পারেন। BSB BSB: Suddenly a leper came and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
3 ULB তখন তিনি হাত বাড়িয়ে তাকে স্পর্শ করলেন, তিনি বললেন, “আমার ইচ্ছা, তুমি শুদ্ধ হয়ে যাও,” আর তখনই সে কুষ্ঠরোগ থেকে ভালো হয়ে গেল। BSB BSB: Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 ULB পরে যীশু তাকে বললেন, “দেখ, এই কথা কাউকেও কিছু বলো না; কিন্তু যাজকের কাছে গিয়ে নিজেকে দেখাও এবং লোকদের কাছে তোমার বিশুদ্ধ হওয়ার জন্য মোশির দেওয়া আদেশ অনুযায়ী নৈবেদ্য উৎসর্গ কর, তাদের কাছে সাক্ষ্য হওয়ার জন্য যে তুমি সুস্থ হয়েছ।” BSB BSB: Then Jesus instructed him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift prescribed by Moses, as a testimony to them.”
5 ULB আর তিনি কফরনাহূমে প্রবেশ করলে একজন শতপতি তাঁর কাছে এসে বিনতি করে বললেন, BSB BSB: When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came and pleaded with Him,
6 ULB হে প্রভু, আমার দাস ঘরে পক্ষাঘাতে পড়ে আছে, ভীষণ যন্ত্রণা পাচ্ছে। BSB BSB: “Lord, my servant lies at home, paralyzed and in terrible agony.”
7 ULB যীশু তাকে বললেন, আমি গিয়ে তাকে সুস্থ করব। BSB BSB: “I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied.
8 ULB শতপতি উত্তর করলেন, হে প্রভু, আমি এমন যোগ্য নই যে, আপনি আমার বাড়িতে আসেন; কেবল কথায় বলুন, তাতেই আমার দাস সুস্থ হবে। BSB BSB: The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
9 ULB কারণ আমি একজন মানুষ যিনি ক্ষমতা সম্পন্ন, আবার সেনারা আমার আদেশমত চলে; আমি তাদের এক জনকে ‘যাও’ বললে সে যায় এবং অন্যকে ‘এস’ বললে সে আসে, আর আমার দাসকে ‘এই কাজ কর’ বললে সে তা করে। BSB BSB: For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”
10 ULB এই কথা শুনে যীশু অবাক হলেন এবং যারা পিছন পিছন আসছিল, তাদের বললেন, আমি তোমাদের সত্যিই বলছি, ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে এত বড় বিশ্বাস কখনো দেখতে পাইনি। BSB BSB: When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.
11 ULB আর আমি তোমাদের বলছি, অনেকে পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম দিক থেকে আসবে এবং অব্রাহাম, ইসহাক, যাকোবের সাথে স্বর্গরাজ্যে একসঙ্গে মেজ এর সামনে আরাম করবে; BSB BSB: I say to you that many will come from the east and the west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
12 ULB কিন্তু রাজ্যের সন্তানদের বাইরের অন্ধকারে ফেলে দেওয়া যাবে; সেই জায়গায় কান্নাকাটি করবে ও দাঁতে দাঁতে ঘষবে। BSB BSB: But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 ULB পরে যীশু সেই শতপতিকে বললেন, চলে যাও, যেমন বিশ্বাস করলে, তেমনি তোমার প্রতি হোক। আর সেই সময়েই তার দাস সুস্থ হল। BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! As you have believed, so will it be done for you.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.
15 ULB পরে তিনি তাঁর হাত স্পর্শ করলেন, আর জ্বর ছেড়ে গেল; তখন তিনি উঠে যীশুর সেবা করতে লাগলেন। BSB BSB: So He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve Him.
16 ULB সন্ধ্যা হলে লোকেরা অনেক ভূতগ্রস্তকে তাঁর কাছে আনল, তাতে তিনি বাক্যের মাধ্যমে সেই আত্মাদেরকে ছাড়ালেন এবং সব অসুস্থ লোককে সুস্থ করলেন; BSB BSB: When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Jesus, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.
17 ULB যেন যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর দ্বারা বলা কথা পূর্ণ হয়, “তিনি নিজে আমাদের দুর্বলতা সব গ্রহণ করলেন ও রোগ সব বহন করলেন।” BSB BSB: This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”
18 ULB আর যীশু নিজের চারদিকে প্রচুর লোক দেখে হ্রদের অন্য পারে যেতে আদেশ দিলেন। BSB BSB: When Jesus saw a large crowd around Him, He gave orders to cross to the other side of the sea.
19 ULB তখন একজন ধর্মশিক্ষক এসে তাঁকে বললেন, হে গুরু, আপনি যে কোনো জায়গায় যাবেন, আমি আপনার পিছন পিছন যাব। BSB BSB: And one of the scribes came to Him and said, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.”
20 ULB যীশু তাঁকে বললেন, শিয়ালদের গর্ত আছে এবং আকাশের পাখিদের বাসা আছে; কিন্তু মানবপুত্রের মাথা রাখার কোন জায়গা নেই। BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.”
21 ULB শিষ্যদের মধ্যে আর একজন তাঁকে বললেন, হে প্রভু, আগে আমার পিতাকে কবর দিয়ে আসতে অনুমতি দিন। BSB BSB: Another of His disciples requested, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
22 ULB কিন্তু যীশু তাঁকে বললেন, আমার পিছনে এস; মৃতরাই নিজের নিজের মৃতদের কবর দিক। BSB BSB: But Jesus told him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
23 ULB আর যীশু নৌকায় উঠলে তাঁর শিষ্যরা তাঁর পিছনে গেলেন। BSB BSB: When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 ULB আর দেখ, সমুদ্রে ভীষণ ঝড় উঠল, এমনকি, নৌকার উপর ঢেউ; কিন্তু যীশু তখন ঘুমোছিলেন। BSB BSB: Suddenly a violent storm came up on the sea, so that the boat was engulfed by the waves. But Jesus was sleeping.
25 ULB তখন শিষ্যরা তাঁর কাছে গিয়ে তাঁকে জাগিয়ে বললেন, হে প্রভু, আমাদের উদ্ধার করুন, আমরা মারা গেলাম। BSB BSB: The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 ULB তিনি তাদের বললেন, হে অল্প বিশ্বাসীরা, কেন তোমরা এত ভয় পাচ্ছ? তখন তিনি উঠে বাতাস ও সমুদ্রকে ধমক দিলেন; তাতে থেমে গেল। BSB BSB: “You of little faith,” Jesus replied, “why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was perfectly calm.
27 ULB আর সেই লোকেরা অবাক হয়ে বললেন, আঃ! ইনি কেমন লোক, বাতাস ও সমুদ্রও যে এর আদেশ মানে! BSB BSB: The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the sea obey Him!”
28 ULB পরে তিনি অন্য পারে গাদারীয়দের দেশে গেলে দুই জন ভূতগ্রস্ত লোক কবরস্থান থেকে বের হয়ে তাঁর সামনে উপস্থিত হল; তারা এত ভয়ঙ্কর ছিল যে, ঐ পথ দিয়ে কেউই যেতে পারত না। BSB BSB: When Jesus arrived on the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, He was met by two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.
29 ULB আর দেখ, তারা চেঁচিয়ে উঠল, বলল, হে ঈশ্বরের পুত্র, আপনার সাথে আমাদের সম্পর্ক কি? আপনি কি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের আগে আমাদের যন্ত্রণা দিতে এখানে এলেন? BSB BSB: “What do You want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have You come here to torture us before the appointed time?”
30 ULB তখন তাদের থেকে কিছু দূরে বড় এক শূকর পাল চরছিল। BSB BSB: In the distance a large herd of pigs was feeding.
31 ULB তাতে ভূতেরা বিনতি করে তাঁকে বলল, যদি আমাদেরকে ছাড়ান, তবে ঐ শূকর পালে পাঠিয়ে দিন। BSB BSB: So the demons begged Jesus, “If You drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”
32 ULB তিনি তাদের বললেন, চলে যাও। তখন তারা বের হয়ে সেই শূকর পালের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করল; আর দেখ, সমস্ত শূকর খুব জোরে ঢালু পাড় দিয়ে দৌড়িয়ে গিয়ে সমুদ্রে পড়ল, ও জলে ডুবে মারা গেল। BSB BSB: “Go!” He told them. So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the waters.
33 ULB তখন পালকেরা পালিয়ে গেল এবং শহরে গিয়ে সব বিষয়, বিশেষভাবে সেই ভূতগ্রস্তের বিষয় বর্ণনা করল। BSB BSB: Those tending the pigs ran off into the town and reported all this, including the account of the demon-possessed men.
34 ULB আর দেখো, শহরের সব লোক যীশুর সাথে দেখা করবার জন্য বের হয়ে এলো এবং তাঁকে দেখে নিজেদের জায়গা থেকে চলে যেতে বিনতি করল। BSB BSB: Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged Him to leave their region.
