3 ULB তুমি নারীদেরকে নিজের শক্তি দিও না, যা রাজাদের ক্ষতিকারক, তাতে যুক্ত থেকো না। BSB BSB: Do not spend your strength on women or your vigor on those who ruin kings.
4 ULB রাজাদের জন্য, হে লমূয়েল, রাজাদের জন্য মদ্যপান উপযুক্ত নয়, ‘সুরা কোথায়’। শাসনকর্তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করা উচিত নয়। BSB BSB: It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to crave strong drink,
5 ULB পাছে পান করে তাঁরা ব্যবস্থা ভুলে যায় এবং কোনো দুঃখীর বিচার উল্টো করেন। BSB BSB: lest they drink and forget what is decreed, depriving all the oppressed of justice.
6 ULB মরার মত মানুষকে সুরা দাও, তিক্তপ্রাণ লোককে আঙ্গুর রস দেও; BSB BSB: Give strong drink to one who is perishing, and wine to the bitter in soul.
7 ULB সে পান করে দৈন্যদশা ভুলে যাক, নিজের দুর্দশা আর মনে না করুক। BSB BSB: Let him drink and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
8 ULB তুমি বোবাদের জন্য তোমার মুখ খোল, অনাথদের জন্য মুখ খোল। BSB BSB: Open your mouth for those with no voice, for the cause of all the dispossessed.
9 ULB তোমার মুখ খোল, ন্যায় বিচার কর, দুঃখী ও দরিদ্রের বিচার কর। গুণবতী স্ত্রীর বর্ণনা BSB BSB: Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the poor and needy.
10 ULB গুণবতী স্ত্রী কে পেতে পারে? মুক্তা থেকেও তাঁর মূল্য অনেক বেশী। BSB BSB: A wife of noble character, who can find? She is far more precious than rubies.
11 ULB তাঁর স্বামীর হৃদয় তাঁতে নির্ভর করে, স্বামীর লাভের অভাব হয় না। BSB BSB: The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he lacks nothing of value.
12 ULB তিনি জীবনের সব দিন তাঁর উপকার করেন, অপকার করেন না। BSB BSB: She brings him good and not harm all the days of her life.
13 ULB তিনি মেষলোম ও মসীনা খোঁজ করেন, আনন্দিত ভাবে নিজের হাতে কাজ করেন। BSB BSB: She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
14 ULB তিনি বাণিজ্য-জাহাজের মত, তিনি দূর থেকে নিজের খাদ্রসামগ্রী আনেন। BSB BSB: She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
15 ULB তিনি রাত থাকতে উঠেন, আর নিজের পরিজনদেরকে খাবার দেন, নিজের দাসীদেরকে কাজ নির্ধারণ করে দেন। BSB BSB: She rises while it is still night to provide food for her household and portions for her maidservants.
16 ULB তিনি ক্ষেত্রের বিষয়ে ঠিক করে তা কেনেন, নিজের হাতের ফল দিয়ে দ্রাক্ষার বাগান তৈরী করেন। BSB BSB: She appraises a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 ULB তিনি শক্তিতে কোমর বন্ধন করেন, নিজের হাতদুটো শক্তিশালী করেন। BSB BSB: She girds herself with strength and shows that her arms are strong.
18 ULB তিনি দেখতে পান, তাঁর ব্যবসায় ভালো, রাতে তাঁর আলো নেভে না। BSB BSB: She sees that her gain is good, and her lamp is not extinguished at night.
19 ULB তিনি টেকুয়া নিতে নিজের হাত বাড়ান, তাঁর হাত দুটো পেঁজা তুলো ধরে। BSB BSB: She stretches out her hands to the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 ULB তিনি দরিদ্রের প্রতি মুক্তহস্ত হন, দীনহীনের দিকে হাত বাড়িয়ে দেন। BSB BSB: She opens her arms to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 ULB তিনি নিজের পরিবারের বিষয়ে বরফ থেকে ভয় পান না; কারণ তাঁর সব বাড়ীর লোকেরা লাল পোশাক পরে। BSB BSB: When it snows, she has no fear for her household, for they are all clothed in scarlet.
22 ULB তিনি নিজের জন্য পর্দার চাদর তৈরী করেন, তাঁর পোশাক সাদা মসীনা-বস্ত্র ও বেগুনি বস্ত্র। BSB BSB: She makes coverings for her bed; her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 ULB তাঁর স্বামী নগর-দরজায় প্রসিদ্ধ হন, যখন দেশের প্রাচীনদের সঙ্গে বসেন। BSB BSB: Her husband is known at the city gates, where he sits among the elders of the land.
24 ULB তিনি সূক্ষ্ম বস্ত্র তৈরী করে বিক্রী করেন, ব্যবসায়ীদের হাতে কটিবস্ত্র তুলেদেন। BSB BSB: She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchants.
25 ULB শক্তি ও সমাদর তাঁর পোশাক; তিনি ভবিষ্যৎকালের বিষয়ে হাসেন। BSB BSB: Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the days to come.
26 ULB তিনি প্রজ্ঞার সঙ্গে মুখ খুলেন, তাঁর জিভে দয়ার ব্যবস্থা থাকে BSB BSB: She opens her mouth with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 ULB তিনি নিজের পরিবারের আচরণের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখেন, তিনি অলসের খাবার খান না। BSB BSB: She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 ULB তাঁর ছেলেরা উঠে তাঁকে ধন্য বলে; তাঁর স্বামীও বলেন, আর তাঁর এরকম প্রশংসা করেন, BSB BSB: Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband praises her as well:
29 ULB “অনেক মেয়ে গুনের প্রদর্শন করেছেন, কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে সর্বাপেক্ষা তুমি শ্রেষ্ঠা।” BSB BSB: “Many daughters have done noble things, but you surpass them all!”
30 ULB লাবণ্য মিথ্যা, সৌন্দর্য্য অসার, কিন্তু যে স্ত্রী সদাপ্রভুকে ভয় করেন, তিনিই প্রশংসনীয়া। BSB BSB: Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 ULB তোমরা তাঁর হাতের ফল তাঁকে দাও, নগর-দরজার সামনে তাঁর কাজ তাঁর প্রশংসা করুক। BSB BSB: Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her at the gates.
