6Khayuho hanu, kayuyuka. Kumbukani ekuwagombekavyo ekuwaho kuda Galilaya,He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee:

7‘Nlazima Mwana wa Mntu alavigwe kwa wantu wenao mavigaviga, nao wenda wamgong'onde he mhamba na msi wa ntatu enda ayuyuke.’ ”‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.’”

9wakauya kulawa mwe mbiya, wakawamba wada wagiiwa kumi dimwe na mwenga na wandima watuhu mbui izo zose.And when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.

24Watuhu wetu nee waita mwe mbiya wakaona yada yekugombekwayo na wada wavyee, iya yee khawokumuona.”Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had described. But Him they did not see.”

25Yesu akawamba, “Nywie mahezi kiasi icho na mioyo yenu itoga ivyo kuzumiiya yose yekutamwiiwayo na waoni wa Muungu!Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

26Ivi khaikudaika Klistu kusumiizwa inga viya, na engie mwe Ukuu wakwe?”Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?”

27Naho yesu akawamba mbui zose zekuandikwazo kwaajii yakwe mwenye mwe Maandiko ya Muungu kuvokea kitabu cha Musa hadi mwe Magondo ya waoni wose wa Muungu.And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.

28Wekuwaho hehi na uda mzi wekuwao wakauitia, Yesu akagosoa inga aendeea na ntambo.As they approached the village where they were headed, He seemed to be going farther.

29Akini wowo wakamhembeza wakagombeka, “Ekaa hamwe naswi, kwaviya zua diswa, na kio kihehi.” Naho akengia mwe mzi, akekaa hamwe nawo.But they pleaded with Him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them.

30Ekwekaaho kuda khande hamwe nao, akadoa bumunda, akamtogoa Muungu, akabendua akawekha.While He was reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them.

31Ahoaho meso yao yakagumbulwa wakammanya kuwa yee ni Yesu, akini yee akaga gatigati yao.Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight.

35Naho, awo wahina waidi wakawamanyisa yada yekuwapatayo wekuwaho siai na wekummanyavyo ekubenduaho bumunda.Then the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.

36Wekuwaho wakawamba ayo, Yesu mwenye akagooka gati yao, akawamba, “Uivanisa uwe naywi.”While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

37Wakahondomaa na kutozwa ni matumatu wakamanya waona mzimu.But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.

38Akini yee akawamba, “Kwambwai mwaogoha mwe mioyo yenu. Kwambwai khamnizumiiya?“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

39Kauweni mikono yangu na miundi yangu, ni mii mwenye. Nitozani mwe mwii wangu wose, kwaviya mzimu khauna mwii na mavuha inga mnikauavyo.”Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

40Ekubindaho kugombeka ayo, akawaonesha mikono na miundi yakwe.And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.

41Wakavotwa kwezumiiya kwaajii ya nyemi muno uku wahondomaa mpaka ikawatenda kumamakhanya inga khio kwei, uku wahondomaa, akawauza, “Mna khande yoyose hanu?”While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

42Wakamwekha ntii ya samaki yekubanikwayo.So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish,

43Nee akakidoa, akada, hemeso yao.and He took it and ate it in front of them.

44Ekubindaho akawamba, “Inu nee mana ya mbui nekugombekayo nekuwaho hamwe nanywi, kuwa mbui zose zekuandikwazo kuusu mie mwe miagiiyo ya Musa na mwe Maandiko ya Muungu ya waoni na mwe kitabu cha zabui yaiganizwe.”Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.”

48Nywie wose nee wavuhuzi wa mbui izi.You are witnesses of these things.

49Mie nenda nimwagiie kwenu Muye wa Muungu ambaye Tate nee kaika kiaga kuwekha, akini nlazima mgoje mwe mzi hadi udaho kulawa uwanga kwa Muungu wendaho umyezee.”And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

50Naho akawaongoeya wahina wakwe kuita chongoi ya mzi hadi Besaniya, uko akenua mikono yakwe uwanga, na kuwajaiya.When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

51Ekuwaho awajaiya, akawabada, akadoigwa uwanga kwa Muungu.While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

52Wowo wakakinta mavindi na kumvikia, naho wakauya Yelusalemu wakawa na kinyemi kikuu.And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

53Wakekaa kisingi chose he Nyumba ya Muungu na wakamtogoa Muungu.praising God continually in the temple.
