Psalm 125 125 Psalms Book 5 Brenton Septuagint The LORD Surrounds His People 1 Brenton A Song of Degrees. They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Sion: he that dwells in Jerusalem shall never be moved. BSB BSB: A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever.
Brenton The mountains are round about her, and so the Lord is round about his people, from henceforth and even for ever. BSB BSB: As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.
Brenton For the Lord will not allow the rod of sinners to be upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous should stretch forth their hands to iniquity. BSB BSB: For the scepter of the wicked will not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to injustice.
Brenton Do good, O Lord, to them that are good, and to them that are upright in heart. BSB BSB: Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to the upright in heart.
Brenton But them that turn aside to crooked ways the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel. BSB BSB: But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.
