Praise the LORD from the Heavens (Psalm 33:1–22)
1 Brenton Alleluia, a Psalm of Aggæus and Zacharias. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the highest. BSB BSB: Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the highest places.
2 Brenton Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. BSB BSB: Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.
3 Brenton Praise him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars and light. BSB BSB: Praise Him, O sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.
4 Brenton Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and the water that is above the heavens. BSB BSB: Praise Him, O highest heavens, and you waters above the skies.
5 Brenton Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created. BSB BSB: Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He gave the command and they were created.
6 Brenton He has established them for ever, even for ever and ever: he has made an ordinance, and it shall not pass away. BSB BSB: He established them forever and ever; He issued a decree that will never pass away.
7 Brenton Praise the Lord from the earth, ye serpents, and all deeps. BSB BSB: Praise the LORD from the earth, all great sea creatures and ocean depths,
8 Brenton Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy wind; the things that perform his word. BSB BSB: lightning and hail, snow and clouds, powerful wind fulfilling His word,
9 Brenton Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: BSB BSB: mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
10 Brenton wild beasts, and all cattle; reptiles, and winged birds: BSB BSB: wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and flying birds,
11 Brenton kings of the earth, and all peoples; princes, and all judges of the earth: BSB BSB: kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth,
12 Brenton young men and virgins, old men with youths: BSB BSB: young men and maidens, old and young together.
13 Brenton let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name only is exalted; his praise is above the earth and heaven, BSB BSB: Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
14 Brenton and he shall exalt the horn of his people, there is a hymn for all his saints, even of the children of Israel, a people who draw near to him. BSB BSB: He has raised up a horn for His people, the praise of all His saints, of Israel, a people near to Him. Hallelujah!
