1. Evil in the Last Days

2. 1BSBBut understand this: In the last days terrible times will come.KJVKJV: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
3. 2BSBFor men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,KJVKJV: For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
4. 3BSBunloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,KJVKJV: Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
5. 4BSBtraitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,KJVKJV: Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
6. 5BSBhaving a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!KJVKJV: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
7. 6BSBThey are the kind who worm their way into households and captivate vulnerable women who are weighed down with sins and led astray by various passions,KJVKJV: For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
8. 7BSBwho are always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.KJVKJV: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
9. 8BSBJust as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith.KJVKJV: Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
10. 9BSBBut they will not advance much further. For just like Jannes and Jambres, their folly will be plain to everyone.KJVKJV: But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.KJVKJV: Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
14. 12BSBIndeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,KJVKJV: Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
15. 13BSBwhile evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.KJVKJV: But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
16. 14BSBBut as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them.KJVKJV: But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
17. 15BSBFrom infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.KJVKJV: And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
18. 16BSBAll Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness,KJVKJV: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
19. 17BSBso that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.KJVKJV: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
